The hotel next door has a roof top night club. The music was loud and was very disturbing at night. I ended up staying only 1 night.

We arrived and had to walk our luggage to the hotel out in the middle of a busy street, the room was filled with tiny bugs, cracks in the walls and ceiling, loud loud noise outside until 3 in the morning. For $500 a night I was terribly disappointed. (Never again!!!)

Bar/Restraunt shut down! No food/drinks available

Let me first start by saying that this hotel is gorgeous and in a perfect location. However when we arrived they let us know that their restaurant and bar were shut down by the city and they lost their license so we didn't have access to any food room service or bar service while on property. This was a huge disappointment because one of the reasons why I booked this place was so that we could have poolside bar service. If the hotel had been honest about the condition and let us know before we came that they did not have food available we would have canceled the reservation and book somewhere else but I feel like they deceived us. They were also doing very noisy construction on the restaurant and bar during the day when we were laying around the pool. They also charged us a $300 deposit which seemed unnecessary because there was nowhere to spend the money. All in all it was a huge disappointment to stay at this place and I don't like being deceived.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and fresh. Though, checking in is very slow and chaotic. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. But enjoyable stay apart from the check in process

Hyatt channeling Motel 6.

This hotel is in a great location. We have stayed here multiple times. We got a large suite for the new year and were treated like juveniles. I get that people abuse rooms but as repeat guests and loyalty rewards members you'd have thought Hyatt would have done some homework as to who was staying there.

The second we were greeted we were asked for a security deposit which is not displayed in the Expedia page. We told this to the host and he behaved unprofessionally, made us late for the event we were attending and shouted over my wife and I while we were trying to solve the situation. On the second night asked housekeeping to come back later, they didn’t and asked front desk to help us out, for which they didn’t as well. The facilities are clean are beautiful with a nice access to the beach. I would recommend you consider another hotel before engaging with this one.

Nothing special just another corporate hotel in term of layout, decor. Cons: Bathroom shower overflowed making tile slippery and unsafe. Beach is very undesirable. Pros: Staff were all very courteous, polite, extremely accommodating. Drinks at the bar were great. Food we ordered was very good. Tequila tasting was fun. Location of the hotel is convenient to all your needs: restaurants, bar, entertainment, coffe shops, or shopping....

They have 2 extra, high charges: incidentals (like $100/day) per day, not stay and resort fee of $35 for a gym, business center, yoga classes they dont have! you have to walk 5 blocks to another property if you want any of that. Yoga isnt offered every day, you need to check with them. They dont clean the rooms or change the sheets you have to hunt them down to get the service. It was until day #7 that we got a rug for the shower. Floors aren't cleaned as our socks were dirty from walking inside our room. Food is expensive & mediocre, service is bad, drinks are bland & diluted. Room service options are limited. Same 2 drinks $25 one day and $37 another day. I was stopped in the hallway after breakfast before walking to my room and asked for an ID, however they didnt ask my boyfriend for anything, as if i was a what? "because i saw you standing outside". The safe from one day to the next said wrong code and they said i forgot it... been using the same one for years... shady! Online pictures show a hotel with a beach, and beach club. It doesnt even have a beach and you dont want to sit or walk on their rocks as there are a lot of weird people hanging out there. I will never recommend this place and definetly not goint back. Not recommended if you have your car or a rental as they charge even if you self park. Its very inconvenient to drive to the property.

Nice small hotel on the water. Rooms are large, modern, and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. Pool area is very small and there is no beach to speak of, but you can use the other Thompson Hotel's pool which is larger a lot nicer.
