The west-facing deck catches the full sunset over the water, with a gas fire pit going as the light fades. Inside, a glass sunroom frames the lake from every seat. Two bedrooms, sleeps six.

Pine Lake sits in Plainwell, in southwest Michigan's lake country. Downtown Plainwell — cafes, the Plainwell Ice Cream Company, and a grocery — is about 10 minutes away, and Kalamazoo (breweries, Bell's, Western Michigan University) is about 20 minutes south. Gilmore Car Museum and Gull Lake are a short drive. A quiet, residential lake setting that suits families and small groups.

Guests have the whole home and yard to themselves. Entry is by smart lock; your door code and arrival details arrive in the pre-arrival message and digital guidebook.

The living room has a sectional and a smart TV facing the windows, so the lake stays in view while you settle in. The kitchen is fully equipped — range, fridge, coffee maker, and full cookware — and opens to a dining bar that seats the group for meals or morning coffee.

The sunroom is the room guests remember: windows on three sides, panoramic views of Pine Lake, and room for board games or a quiet afternoon with a book.

Out back, the large deck has a gas grill and seating for dining by the water. The private dock is yours for fishing, tying up a boat, or launching the two-person kayak.
