This family owned business was inspirational, room were dated but clean and contained signs throughout noted ways to be eco-friendly. There was no full breakfast; we only saw continental items but even that was not communicated to us perhaps because of a language barrier. Younger English speaking family members might be at front desk. For a two star hotel prices were too high; Pittsfield needs to update hotel infrastructure and lower prices. Facility was near shopping plaza, popular Kelly’s Diner, McD’s, Etc (Onondaga Lakedrive Beach on other side of town, beautiful free property with alsphault boardwalk. We went to Colonial theater for a show Smokey and Me, a small and ornate theater which was lovely. Great soul food in area, and fine, Italian dining (specials and portions way too high). Overall, Pittsfield was great!

We were apprehensive after seeing the negative reviews, but found the rooms to be clean and quiet. The bathrooms were in good shape reasonably modern. This is a budget motel in a strip mall area, so don’t expect a resort, but we found it perfectly adequate as a jumping off point for day trips and much cheaper than anything nearby. We would return.
Room was dirty, all surfaces covered in dust, mildew and hair in the bathtub, room stunk very strong of mothballs. Carpet had crumbs all over it, not sure how long that has been there.
Manager was not very friendly. I asked about continental breakfast that was advertised and he said no breakfast and did not give a reason even though the sign in front says it comes with a breakfast. Room was clean but the property and building is in very poor condition
One of my worst experiences at a motel ever in my entire 42 years of life. Owner/Manager was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful from check in through check out. He refused to change rooms when I requested. He refused to help call a cab at check out so I could vacate premises. Then proceeded to call the police instead. Ironically they gave me a ride, for free!! The Room Door expanded so much, I had to use my body weight to pry-push it open. Room stank of cigarette smoke (paid for a NON-Smoking), smelling the damp room air wreaked of musty, dingy mold and mildew. Air Conditioning vents were full of dust balls an inch thick. AC not cleaned out in years. I actually cleaned it so that I wouldn’t get sick. Missing border tiles in the bathroom under the sink and behind the toilet, along with black mold growing on the walls. Water was Luke warm at best. Never had hot water. Everything was rusty. Rolling Office chair had only 4 out of 5 wheels. Fridge was dirty, barely working and not cold enough. Dust bunnies everywhere especially behind all the side tables, dresser draws and TV cabinet. The whole experience was a nightmare. Absolutely appalling. I have plenty of pictures/photos to prove all the above information are unacceptable conditions for the humans to live and pay the price. I will be requesting a full refund. Thank you. Lambros

Bathroom Mirror was broken in half, carpet dat a big stain on it, TV channels were all fuzzy. Hotel mgmt yelled at me when I tried to talk to him about it.
Asked for a non smoking room, but when we got to the room, it smelled like smoke.
Convenient location. Looked better on the inside, but a bit shabby on the outside.
The two people at the desk mainly ignored me as they talked to each other in their language. There was nothing said to me about what they were discussing in regards to my check-in. When I got to the room I found a half eaten tortilla chip on the floor by one of the beds.
Staff was great. We were a late arrival and they got us in no problem. Friendly
Towels were filthy, bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and the whole place is falling into disrepair. The office was closed at 6pm when I went to check in.
Very nice! Under rated! Has tv, microwave, dryer, iron, refrigerator. Very very clean, although bed sheets had a hole and refrigerator was noisy. I had stayed w/ other hotels w/ more stars in the neighborhood which were disgusting but the Econo Lodge was such a nice surprise! I will stay again in the future.

Front desk not friendly at check-in. Was told no room available on 1st floor. OK. AC not working in assigned room. Called desk to have it repaired or relocate us. 4 phone tags later, "We have another room, but the TV does not work in that one." Ummm, sorry, I prepaid for this room 5 months ago. 2 more phone tags. "Alright, we have another room, but it's on the 1st floor." Everything works? "Yes" So we got what we paid for, but it took an extra half-hour of our time, and we wanted to get to the concert. Coffee maker had to be moved because no plug available where situated. A gallon of water fell out of the freezer when we opened fridge. Breakfast was ok, but not "full breakfast" as described. Front desk morning staff much more friendly and helpful. Clean. Non smoking. Plenty of parking. Easy location.
Non existent continental breakfast. Empty trays & staff was conveniently away from the front desk on a Sunday morning. Rooms were pretty comfortable. Overall ok stay if you are just looking for something cheap.
The hotel was priced right for the location, it was quiet and clean. There was a smoke smell in the room, which I am allergic to but not enough to complain. I did not have breakfast there, but it was offered with the room fee. The landscaping could have used updating, weeding. One concern I had was the door I entered to get to my room had no security lock, anyone can walk in and down the hallway where I was staying. A bit scary with the way things are in Pittsfield. Lobby was inviting, and pleasant. Front office personnel pleasant, and helpful. I did call ahead and ask that everything be in working order before I arrived due to the reviews this hotel has received. It was a nice roomy room. The hot water was hard to come by, there was a very small area on the faucet that would get hot water. I am hoping someone will invest some time and money into the esthetics of the outside more inviting. If I didn't once live in Pittsfield, I would not have stayed here, I know the area and felt safe there.
