Stayed here for 10 nights (for the conference at CMU). Convenient location. CVS and beer store nearby, quite area. CMU is a short walk away (like 15 mins or so). 10 minutes by bus to the city center (downtown, strip district). Comfortable, clean room with all-one-need (iron, hairdryer, toster, fridge, kitchenette etc). Big plasma TV on top of that. Plus good breakfast and working station (in case you need to print something). There is also a pool but we did not use it. Anyway - highly recommended! Edpecially for those who are here for CMU events.

Complete construction zone walking around building materials, noisy, and rude staff

Please add my acct number 204-009-369 the location for me was ideal. 10 min walk to all my locations

We arrived at the hotel rather late, and had a little trouble trying to get into the lobby due to some weirdness with the automatic door sensor. Then the door key didn't work, so we had to wait a bit for them to let us in the room. First thing in the morning, we were awakened by the deafening sounds of hammers and power tools, as they are apparently undergoing renovation. The room was okay, but is starting to show some age, which I guess is why they're doing all the construction. It has a full sized fridge and kitchen for those who plan on a more extended stay. There's a complementary breakfast downstairs in the morning, and parking in an adjacent structure.

I drove to Pittsburgh for 2 days of intensive work with a collaborator at Pitt. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 a.m. and, although the advertised check-in time is 3 p.m., a room was available and they checked me in immediately. I reached the center of the Pitt campus on foot in 15 minutes. At check-out the following morning, I requested--and was granted--permission to leave my car parked in the hotel ramp until 9 p.m. Although I only stayed 1 night, and the advertised price of parking is $15/day, no charge was made for the second day. The hotel was immaculate and quiet. The staff were capable, generous and cordial. I know the hotel neighborhood well and (albeit a woman might view the issue more cautiously than a man does) I had no concern about returning at midnight on foot from the university to the hotel.

Still waiting on refund of the "holds" they put on my credit card for incidentals (which I had none of) - they charged me twice and one rude desk clerk tried to tell me it was my bank. It was not.

Stayed there one night, very close to the dorm I moved my daughter in at Pitt.

When booking I thought it was on the Pitts Univ campus which it is not. It was close enough but it did require me to drive and therefore incur additional parking expenses. I stay in Marriott Residence Inns quite often and although the rooms are substantially larger than other hotels, the rooms need to be updated in terms of stove, fridge. We were there two nights and room was too hot upon arriving. I explained to the staff and they had to request someone come in the room to OPEN the windows (i was on the 6th floor) to cool it down since you needed a special tool. Didn't make me warm and fuzzy thinking if i needed to exit the hotel in a fire i could not get out of the room. I don't believe anyone cleaned the room the first night. Towels were replenished but shampoo and conditioner were not, and towels were sparce.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Polite staff. Will stay here again. Great location close to UPMC on Penn Ave.

Wanted to stay in the same neighborhood where our daughter lives. The Residence Inn was a nice solution. Pleasant room and friendly staff. It is confusing about parking and the lobby area (on the 4th floor - Terrace). Will stay there again!

We have stayed here before, mainly because they are pet friendly. The room was clean and sanitary. They provide a special area to walk your dog. All in all a very pleasant experience.

My grandmother was transferred to a local area hospital, and for a last minute booking this place was great. It had a pool for our nieces which kept them busy. The staff was great with directions to and from the hospital. Overall it was a great experience while dealing with life's curveballs.

It was pleasant and the location perfect! beautiful view

Price-wise, the hotel was a great value. We were 3 miles from the college yet saved $50-$80 from hotels closer. It was worth the drive. My mapquest had us arriving through the parking entrance which was just an elevator and not clearly mapped. Very underwhelming and a bit scary. However, when we arrived at concierge desk, both the service and hotel was impressive. Had a kitchenette with real plates and glasses for our use and free microwave popcorn and coffee. They seemed to think of everything. Sadly though, the breakfast - though free - was not great. My room coffee was much better than the breakfast one and the conveyor belt type toaster was up too high and burned everything. Overall though, I was very impressed and will definitely go there again. I recommend it.

I just spend a night, The rooms are big and confortable. Everything is quite ok. Family oriented.

A friendly and helpful staff takes care of you while traveling. A good hot breakfast. for a wonderful price. Good parking also

Friendly desk staff, large room, perfect location. The bed was too soft, but otherwise, everything was easy and nice.

We were pleasantly pleased with this hotel. It is located 2 miles outside of the city, but its in a nice area. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the meals included were really good. We had a full breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage, and yogurt and in the evening we had Philly Cheesteak sandwiches. We will definitely go back!

I stay at this hotel because of its close proximity and shuttle service to the University of Pittsburgh but it is much more than that - an excellent, clean, well serviced hotel with great amenities, large and pleasant rooms, great breakfast and other food services, a lovely pool and jacuzzi, and friendly, helpful staff.

This was a great value! It was very spacious - LOTS of space! More than I expected!! Breakfast was very satisfying.
