Free breakfast and full kitchen. Large room and cleaned

My room had a full kitchen! Wrap around couch, I had to take a major exam the next day and the test site was about three miles from this hotel. I loved being able to bring my food and make dinner right in my room instead of having country around trying to find some place to eat.

Loved it! Modern unit, great bed and a nice outdoor terrace area for relaxing. Responsive staff! Will definitely stay here again next time we are in town.

We stayed in this hotel while visiting CMU. The hotel offers free shuttle service that runs every 45 minuets form 7:00 am to 4:45 pm. It is very convenient for any family that come to visit the college.

Great location and nice overall. However, our room smelled like stale cigarettes and the room safe could not be used. Parking is great, but expensive at $20/day. Breakfast was outstanding.

This was our first time staying at a residence inn, and we were impressed! Seven adults stayed here overnight to attend a funeral the next day. We booked three queen size suites which gave us plenty of room for luggage and sleeping. Check-in staff was very good at answering all our questions, allowing us to check in early and making sure we were all on the same floor even though we booked the rooms separately. We did not use the kitchen, but it was well stocked with all the cooking utensils and dishes you could want for a short stay. Breakfast bar was the best I've experienced where breakfast provided for free at a hotel. Every topping you could want for waffles or oatmeal---hot eggs and meats and a variety of breads (even tortillas!) for creating a breakfast sandwich--fruit, cereals, and a wide selection of beverages.. Will look for residence inns in future travels!

Stayed here for 10 nights (for the conference at CMU). Convenient location. CVS and beer store nearby, quite area. CMU is a short walk away (like 15 mins or so). 10 minutes by bus to the city center (downtown, strip district). Comfortable, clean room with all-one-need (iron, hairdryer, toster, fridge, kitchenette etc). Big plasma TV on top of that. Plus good breakfast and working station (in case you need to print something). There is also a pool but we did not use it. Anyway - highly recommended! Edpecially for those who are here for CMU events.

We arrived at the hotel rather late, and had a little trouble trying to get into the lobby due to some weirdness with the automatic door sensor. Then the door key didn't work, so we had to wait a bit for them to let us in the room. First thing in the morning, we were awakened by the deafening sounds of hammers and power tools, as they are apparently undergoing renovation. The room was okay, but is starting to show some age, which I guess is why they're doing all the construction. It has a full sized fridge and kitchen for those who plan on a more extended stay. There's a complementary breakfast downstairs in the morning, and parking in an adjacent structure.

I drove to Pittsburgh for 2 days of intensive work with a collaborator at Pitt. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 a.m. and, although the advertised check-in time is 3 p.m., a room was available and they checked me in immediately. I reached the center of the Pitt campus on foot in 15 minutes. At check-out the following morning, I requested--and was granted--permission to leave my car parked in the hotel ramp until 9 p.m. Although I only stayed 1 night, and the advertised price of parking is $15/day, no charge was made for the second day. The hotel was immaculate and quiet. The staff were capable, generous and cordial. I know the hotel neighborhood well and (albeit a woman might view the issue more cautiously than a man does) I had no concern about returning at midnight on foot from the university to the hotel.

Still waiting on refund of the "holds" they put on my credit card for incidentals (which I had none of) - they charged me twice and one rude desk clerk tried to tell me it was my bank. It was not.

Stayed there one night, very close to the dorm I moved my daughter in at Pitt.

When booking I thought it was on the Pitts Univ campus which it is not. It was close enough but it did require me to drive and therefore incur additional parking expenses. I stay in Marriott Residence Inns quite often and although the rooms are substantially larger than other hotels, the rooms need to be updated in terms of stove, fridge. We were there two nights and room was too hot upon arriving. I explained to the staff and they had to request someone come in the room to OPEN the windows (i was on the 6th floor) to cool it down since you needed a special tool. Didn't make me warm and fuzzy thinking if i needed to exit the hotel in a fire i could not get out of the room. I don't believe anyone cleaned the room the first night. Towels were replenished but shampoo and conditioner were not, and towels were sparce.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Polite staff. Will stay here again. Great location close to UPMC on Penn Ave.

Wanted to stay in the same neighborhood where our daughter lives. The Residence Inn was a nice solution. Pleasant room and friendly staff. It is confusing about parking and the lobby area (on the 4th floor - Terrace). Will stay there again!

We have stayed here before, mainly because they are pet friendly. The room was clean and sanitary. They provide a special area to walk your dog. All in all a very pleasant experience.

My grandmother was transferred to a local area hospital, and for a last minute booking this place was great. It had a pool for our nieces which kept them busy. The staff was great with directions to and from the hospital. Overall it was a great experience while dealing with life's curveballs.

It was pleasant and the location perfect! beautiful view
