Easy to find-Easy check-in with great customer service--clean room--nice view of the highway--great food at the restaurant/bar with friendly service

What i paid for was not listed online as a Best Western. The pictures online did not look as nice as the property. The hotel smelled like cigarettes. The room was ok except for the bathroom was very small and the shower floor was broken. Also when i arrived, there were 3 large SUVs full of detectives and they wert all coming out of the hotel, wearing their vests like they were on a serious call. And they rolled out a case of equipment. That made me not feel safe staying there at all. And i couldnt get a refund to go to a different hotel because of the policies.

Staff was great. Rooms are clean & bigger than expected.

The hotel is now known as Monroeville Plaza hotel. I found them from Orbitz for a good price so I decided to check it out while visiting family in the area. They seem to be doing renovations and it is an ok place overall. The checkin went smooth. We were told about the bar, pool and exercise room. The rooms were clean and good overall. They had a TV, Microwave, coffee maker and fridge. There was no safe but that was the overall downside for the room. I stayed for two nights and I never got my room cleaned the first night. I sat a pizza box outside my door so maybe this was a sign not to clean my room or give me towels, make my bed or even leave fresh cups for coffee. Maybe it was housekeepings off day. Not sure but I thought this was odd. I asked for towels and coffee cups in the afternoon and they never showed up. I also saw toilet paper and towels hanging from outside doors which makes me think it was not only me. I used the exercise room and the equipments built in TVs did not work. Overall it was good for the price and things will probably be better in time. The staff were slightly attentive. I was also told that the place was going to become a Best Western. Overall the place was also quiet and close to the turnpike and freeways. The beds were also comfortable. I would give it a second try in the future once things have settled.

Had IT computer issues at front desk. Delayed check in for over an hour. Was not a big deal as we got some food across the street. Just an inconvenience after being on the road 4+ hours. Exterior does not do justice to interior. Room was clean. We slept well.

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is quiet and very clean. AND NO SMOKING is always a plus.

There wasn’t much to like unfortunately. I stayed at this property when it was a holiday inn and it was a great stay. I understand this is a property under renovation- only after I arrived. There is NO sign on the hotel. The front desk staff was normal service as usual, but I had an issue with the cleaning person entering my room when I had a do not disturb sign hung, and also, found two- what looked to be blood stains on my comforter and the bedding was not even fully made. It was half made. The vending machine was out of order. The elevator did not work properly. The floor was nonsmoking, but could smell cigarette and marijuana smoke. I am staying in the area next week and will not stay at this property again. I was not happy with the property, actually quite disappointed, especially for the price. This was worse than a motel 6 I stayed at for $40. It should be noted with this property that it is under renovation. I would have thought twice before booking a stay there.

There was supposed to a Continental breakfast on Saturday morning. There was no eggs, no bacon, no fruit. Waffles and cereal isn’t a Continental breakfast.

Unflushed toilet with lots of poop/shit is not what one expects after walking into a hotel room. Never had this experience even in 1-star motels. Shower nozzle almost like a fire hose - highly concentrated stream capable of blowing a kid away from the shower. Will NOT recommend this hotel. Shoddy condition and housekeeping. Beds and linen were good.

For being a newer hotel, this place is run down. Upon check in, the fire alarm was beeping in our room. They came and fixed that. Then upon using the hairdryer, its stand detached from the well. The carpets and chairs were worn out and faded. The window was stuck shut - I couldn't tell if it was rust or dirt or what, but it would not open no matter how hard we pushed. They also didn't service our room. Not once. We called finally and they said they'd send someone tomorrow - sadly which was the day we were checking out. There are a lot of comparable properties around this area. Do yourself a favor - stay at one.
