The property structure for the most part was set up well. The property was also clean and well decorated inside.
The issues we experienced are the view was largely obstructed around the entire cabin by vegetation. I’ve never been in a cabin where multiple trees were pressed up against the house. The lighting of the cabin at night could have been much better. The light on the driveway side was obstructed by a tree and provided minimal lighting. The light on the front of the cabin was only motion censored so when you drive up to the cabin it is mostly dark and when you are sitting in the living room or at the hot tub you can’t see the porch 5 ft in front of you. Additionally, the kitchen window bordering the balcony was broken, so anyone could have used that to enter at any time. The door handle in the back of the house could be opened by hand and the door handle in the kitchen was broken.
Getting an uber can be difficult anytime in the mountains but it was more difficult here. Also, the driveway only had 3 lanterns showing the driveway. This was tougher for some Ubers and I recommend getting a few more of those to help any driver navigate the sloped driveway more safely at night.
I don’t want to make this seem like it was a bad cabin, it was not. It was a great place to stay. It was however more expensive than other options and it should not have been considering the upkeep that needs to happen.
