The hotel was in a good location, but was some what minimal. Very plainly furnished & the heat was on high in the bathroom, we had to prop open the door in order to cool it off. Happy that the hotel was reasonably priced & would probably stay there again, but next time would call front desk regarding ...
We definitely enjoyed our time at Hotel Garden which is located a bit outside of the city center. The room was clean and decent sized with a fairly large bathroom. The staff was great, especially the girls working at the front desk and Alta at the bar - he was worth the visit alone! Breakfast was ...
The staffs are very friendly. The breakfast is excellent. it provided various food, plenty of choices, plus there were delicious. The room was large enough and comfort. We were on the first floor so no stair climbing was required . The hotel is very close to anywhere we planed to visit and see. For ...
This amazing property is located 1/2 way between Florence and Siena. Spend a day or so sightseeing in Florence then be picked up by their free shuttle for the 30 min ride to the property. Situated on their own 700 acre vineyard with Olive Groves and Rosemary Hedges my wife and I had a romantic get away. Sit by the pool overlooking rolling landscape and pick ripe figs to snack on. Drink their own vintage wine while dining alfresco at a superb restaurant. Do not miss the spa, voted one of the top 10 in the world by Conde Nast in March 2011 issue. We really lucked out with this find.
If I could give this hotel more stars I would. They didn't just meet our expectations, they completely surpassed them. We stayed in La Villa, which is essentially a loft large enough for a couple to live in. It is beautiful and very, very spacious. The property itself is breathtaking. There are vineyards, olive tree and tuscan hills as far as you can see in each direction. We honestly did not want to leave the property. We were also in the middle of an Italian road trip seeing Milan, Cinque Terre, Florence, Venice... but this place made my husband & I want to stay in tuscany the entire time. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. You will feel part of the family when you stay. The breakfast isn't just a boxed croissant and coffee. They have a large spread of fresh fruit, freshly made quiches and tarts (some made of eggs, some dessert quiches also), fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, various breads, croissants with filling, freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice, along with a precious lady that can make a coffee, espresso, cappuccino or whatever you choose. (This sweet lady's mother also makes the breakfast items fresh everyday.) The pool is stunning. They have a shaded area if you would like to stay out of the sun while you gaze at the pool and tuscan hillside. The staff is incredibly helpful also. They scheduled our dinners, gave us directions and an emergency contact number if we needed anything during their off hours. I cannot recommend this place enough!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Athena. The Staff was spectacular, the view from the terrace breathtaking. Would definitely stay here next time I’m in Siena.
The receptionist was excellent; she showed us were everything was and even how to get the bus to go to Siena. The room was very clean and ok for a 4 stars hotel, however the bed was kind of hard for our taste. The experience was overall good though. The breakfast was also good.
