Hotel Italia is a true gem! The hotel is lovely and is situated right on a main street, which makes for an easy, direct walk to the beautiful town square. If possible, get a room with a balcony to enjoy the great view of Siena. The staff of Hotel Italia is as friendly and accommodating as the pictures of their website show. They call cabs, make reservations for tours, and recommend wonderful places to eat. For a quick, very reasonable, and really delicious meal, be sure to try the Osteria about 1 -2 blocks from the hotel ( from hotel, turn right). It’s a family run restaurant and they go out of their way to please. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Be careful with the shower! I believe it was meant to be used as a hand-held instead of the usual American shower. You could end up with water all over the floor. The breakfast buffet was included in our room fee and it was great. So many good choices and in such a lovely dining area. The American coffee and the scrambled eggs were excellent! There is a very relaxing lounge where free coffee is available and alcohol beverages are on sale. Although the hotel is near the train station, it is not close enough to walk, especially with luggage. You can easily get a taxi to Hotel Italia from the station for about 10 Euros. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Italia and highly recommend it!
We visited for one night in this beautiful hotel. We came from Rome, going to Siena. Hotel was so beautiful, and very warm wellcoming. The swedish lady was so helpful. Especially great thanks to Fabrizio, we hope to came back again.
We were in one of the out buildings which was great and private but it did have a drawback, the bathroom was very small & the door would hit the sink , car parking is limited but safe. The hotel is about a 15min walk from the old town centre (out the door, turn right and carry on). The bar and breakfast room is very small, the breakfast room is far too small for this hotel but the food was good & the service was good.
Hotel has a nice location, just a short walk from city walls. Excellent 5 star breakfast, nice ladies at reception, clean room, what else you need ? Do not hesitate , stay there. Many restaurants close , pizza ,homemade , very nice . We enjoyed our stay , thank you Hotel Italia.
We stopped here overnight on the way to our Air bnb. What a lovely little hotel. The staff were so helpful and the hotel was spotless. Great room and the whole experience was excellent. We walked up the wrong way from the train station and found out later about the escalator opposite the train station. 😂great place to stay and awesome O’steria just 50 metres away. Ngā kai pai tērā. Ngā mihi Rhys
I stayed in Hotel Italia for two nights in September with my wife and 5 year old. Spacious room, a short walk from the train and bus stations, and a short walk from the old city. Staff were helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was ok but nothing special. Would stay again next time I’m in Siena.
Very nice hotel and very friendly staff (they upgraded our room for free). Only 10-min walk from the central railway station and most of the way is via escalators. 20-min walk from the central plaza which is very nice because it's away from the crowds. Very nice breakfast buffet included ... and to our pleasant surprise the buffet had VEGAN options (with signs pointing out what was vegan, what was gluten-free, etc.). And they made extra decaf coffee for me when I asked. All very nice :) ! Greatly enjoyed our stay.
Good location. Easy to get to from the train station. Walkable to the historic center. Staff are friendly and very helpful. There is a self service laundromat right across. Restaurants within walking distance To get to the hotel from the train station, you just go to the shopping center across from the train station and take the escalators all the way to the top. Once you’re at the the street level turn left and walk a block.
This hotel is rated as a 3-star hotel but the rooms and service are 5-star. The hotel lobby and rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. The included breakfast buffet is far more than a Continental freebie and the food quality is excellent. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is perfect - a short walk to the train station and the entrance to the old Medieval town. The price is exceptionally reasonable for what you get. Next time in Siena, we're stating here again.
Very nice hotel with lovely front desk staff. They helped us with useful informations about city. Room was decent and easy decorated, but in my opinion very high value for money percent. Whole hotel is very clean and decent decorated.
