Booked the hotel on booking.com as a short break in the middle of a larger family holiday. Hotel was easy to find, couldn't get in the small car park but there was good on road parking free behind the hotel so no problem. Great first impression, very clean, wonderful friendly welcome and a nice bar area. Our room was nice and clean with a big balcony on the 4th floor. My parents were on the first floor. Unfortunately the mattress was extremely hard and the shower extremely small and kept going hot and cold which was a shame. Otherwise the air con was great and the room good for a short stay although fairly compact. My parents room was much larger (they had a superior room) and they didn't have problems with their shower although they had an older air con system which was a bit noisy. Overall it is very good for a 3 star. Good choice at breakfast although layout could be improved as it was hard at peak times to get to anything! The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly, really enjoyed our stay and Siena is a beautiful place to visit! The hotel is a short walk to the old town although a good 20 mins to the larger sites but it's so beautiful it doesn't really matter and there were very good restaurants. Would stay again.
We booked here for 6 days after checking reviews on trip advisor and we are very happy with our choice. Lovely spotlessly clean and bright hotel and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Special thanks to Francesca, Davide and Guilia and all the front of house staff for advising on restaurants, booking our taxi to the airport and always being very welcoming and courteous also to the friendly and efficient staff at breakfast and throughout the hotel. Clearly this is a very well run hotel and we would definitely book again on our next trip to Siena.
Convenient location to train station and town centre. We were in an annexe room which, although a little dated, was clean and spacious. We used the pool and loungers at The Garden Hotel which was a short walk away. Would recommend Hotel Italia.
Hotel Italia has the most helpful and considerate staff one could wish for. They are extremely receptive to your needs and want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I booked a standard double room for a very good price. The wifi is excellent and the room clean and spacious. The cleaning staff maintain the room to the highest standard. The personalised bathroom toiletries are a lovely addition. Most importantly, the buffet breakfast is DELICIOUS and the location fantastic. The road is not too busy and you are only a 20 minute walk away from Piazza del Campo and the beautiful historic centre where you can find lots of eating and drinking establishments. The nearby swimming pool as Hotel Italia's sister hotel is also a great addition. I had a lovely day chilling by the pool and you can rent a towel if you need one! I would recommend this hotel to any traveller and it was very popular whilst I was here.
We landed in Siena unexpectedly with a broken car. The cab driver booked and took us to this little gem and we could never have been better served. The hotel was clean, pleasant and the staff Jannecke and Francesca more than helpful. Our biggest surprise was a full vegan breakfast served with a smile by the obliging kitchen staff. This place deserves 10 stars not 5! The heat does not deter these people from helping stranded visitors in every way possible. Thank you so much.
We chose Hotel Italia by its location (very convenient to the train/bus station, though a long set of escalators up!) and were thrilled by how charming and helpful the staff were. Our room was quiet and spacious, the bed was firm and our stay was wonderful.
Hotel is only a 10 minute ride by taxi from Siena train station. A 15 minute stroll from the hotel to the city walls and about a further 20 minute leisurely walk to the center of Siena. The hotel staff were pleasant and informative and they imparted some of the best area for dinning and provided us with a local map. The hotel has free wifi and breakfast is included. Our room was well presented and modern with all necessary inclusions including mini bar, personal safe, A/C and a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style which included typical Italian breakfast but you also had bacon and eggs and a selection of cold cuts etc. The reception staff were most helpful and they even made a phone call on my behalf to ensure I was able to rent car. Nothing was to much trouble.
Parking place at the back of the hotel or in the nearby white line area: easy to find and close to hotel. Hotel at 20 minutes' walk from city center. Okay assistance at the desk. Clean, but sober hotel rooms, Clean bath rooms. Rooms at the side of the road may be a bit loud. Breakfast offers great choice - plenty of room at the left and right side of the hotel (may be crowded). Good hotel nearby wonderful Siena.
A lovely little hotel about 10 minute walk outside of the city walls, don't let that put you off because actually it's a nice distance to walk off dinner! We visited in hot July and the sister hotel had a pool to use too for a fee of 5 euros each, which was well worth it. Rooms a little basic but when you're out all day it's not that important. The staff were outstanding, a special thank you to Francesca...who was especially brilliant and Davide too who was super helpful too. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.
We had a very nice stay here. It was relatively close to the train station, which is how we arrived to Siena, and it wasn't right next to the center of town, but it was within walking distance. We found it to be convenient and a pleasant place to stay in Siena.
