I have returned to this Resort many times, this being my 4th Staff were great and so helpful. Room was amazing. clean and all stocked up. Now theres also bigger better TVs if anyone likes to relax and watch some movies or shows on their downtime
Positives: Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were clean. 700m from Patong beach which was great to walk around during the day and avoids the noise of Bangla road at night. Gym is adequate for a week in Phuket with one treadmill, one bike, one cross trainer, a shoulder press and some free weights. Buffet breakfast is adequate with good variety but not the best breakfast I've ever had. Negatives: Service was poor and I would consider this hotel a 3 star at best (it is advertised as 4 star). Staff don't understand English, which made it very difficult to communicate issues such as the water tank in the gym being empty, a dead rat being present in the pool, asking for rooms to be cleaned when they hadn't been cleaned at 3pm and trying to get fresh beach towels. The walls between rooms are VERY thin and on our first night after arriving from the airport the room next to me was partying loudly (loud music and screeching singing) until 4am. I called the front desk to ask for ear plugs but they did not understand the request. Hallways stunk of cigarettes every day despite it being a non-smoking hotel. Checkout is messy requiring a 10 minute wait to 'check the rooms' before you leave, and staff were not very accomodating for our early flight pick up - not allowing us to access breakfast 25 mins early and being quite unhelpful indicating we needed to book a chef box in advance despite not having heard of this before (note: after a lot of arguing we were allowed to get a quick bite to eat in the car). Overall, this is a noisy hotel on a busy street. If you are after a wild time out in Patong, this place is great. If you are after a relaxed get away with a bit of the fun of Patong, stay further down towards the Hooters area where you can get some peace and quiet but access all the activities of Patong. I would have been happy if I had booked a 3 star service, but was looking for a 4 star service. Would not stay here again although the rooms were clean and overall we enjoyed our stay.
The Lantern is in a great location - the staff are just so helpful and nothing is a problem. The rooms are quite large and beds are very comfortable - they now have a wonderful Jura coffee machine, so coffee for breakfast is great! We will definitely stay again.
I have just completed an 11 night stay at this great hotel. I found its location to be excellent as other reviewers have mentioned very close to the night life shopping and the beach all in easy walking distance. The pool access room was a very good size well maintained and most importantly clean with easy access to the pool. The staff I encountered from reception to house keeping to the restaurant where all cheerful and did their jobs well. They would go out of their way to assist guest with any requests they may have. The breakfast I couldn’t say was exceptional but it’s on par with other Patong hotels I have stayed at with the same star rating. My only advise is to book early I found the price increased booking 3 weeks in advanced as to compared to 4 weeks in advance I would just like to thank the hotel for an enjoyable experience and hope to be back some time.
The location is great 3 minute walk to bangala rd and about 5mins from beach surrounded by restaurants shops big shopping centre.the staff are brilliant very freindly and speak good English all from reception staff to breakfast staff to security guards. 3 pools to choose from and have your laundry done at street prices 60 baht per kilo and delivered Back to your room next day.massage girls meow and number 1 were great and prices are also good.breakky good choice and dinner with 99baht cocktails great value would not hesitate to stay here again. Good value for money.
Location was excellent - close to Bangla Rd and Jungcyleon. The apartment was clean and modern and although it did not have a balcony or view you where aloud to smoke in the living room. The rooms where abit noisy but not the fault of the Resort but the other travellors. The roof top pool we had to ourselves. The internet could not connect. There where nice umbrellas to sit out the front and a few areas that you could just chill. If you wanted to just hang there, there was eating places all along the street. The staff where great.
The hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly. Only gripe I have is the slow wifi. The internet was pretty much unusable during my stay and I ended up having to use my phone as a hotspot. I don’t think I’ll be visiting again until they fix that.
The location is excellent, near famous Bangla street, Patong Beach. Jungcyleon the biggest mall of Phuket is in next street. Nearby Banzaan Fresh Market- place to enjoy Thai street food & seafood. Though there was some issue in basin drainage and Airconditioner but it was promptly attended next morning. The staff was courteous and helpful. Enough options in breakfast buffet.
service was good. We liked the room big room, big bed, clean. Location is perfect. The foods and all the staff friendly. If i go to Phuket again will stay with this hotel. Price reasonable. Overall all good. Anyone want to go Phuket can book this hotel you wont regret.
Booked this place online after reading mostly postive reviews on Tripadvisor. Wasnt disappointed at all, it is a good value for money apartment style hotel. The furnishings inside the room and the bathroom fitings were up to date and in fine working condition. The location of this place is near to the main shopping mall (Junceylong); the nightlife (Walking Street) is close by as well. Inspite of being on a busy street I was surprised with the privacy this hotel afforded - no disturbances or loud noises what so ever inside the rooms. The staff was friendly, courteous and soft spoken. In fact on the day of our checkout they allowed safe-keeping of our luggage in the lobby till late evening, as during the day we were visiting the Coral/Racha Islands. Overall I would visit The Lantern Resorts again if I travel back to Phuket in the future. Keep up the good work and all the best to TEAM LANTERN!
