The Lantern Resort had everything we needed for our one-night stay in Patong. The location of this hotel was fantastic and central - a very short walk to Bangla Road and Patong Beach. We were able to leave our luggage downstairs after morning check-out and spend the day exploring Patong and the surrounding beaches, before heading back to The Lantern to collect our bags and continue on to the Boat Lagoon for the next seven nights of our Phuket holiday. If the hustle and bustle of Patong and its nightlife is what you’re after, The Lantern would be perfect for you, but for our family, we were happy to move on to a quieter part of the island. 🌴
Staff at the front desk all friendly but some of a bit there's slacker at the restaurant slow service and hardly to understand English..well there's the one lady at the front desk when i was ask all of information who's outstanding as all the time I saw her in the afternoon till evening I guess and I can't recognized her name is Pommy if I was recalled correct the name I think she's receptionist but seem like her done a job well right up through a manager and she very helpful also she got skill pretty good in spoken an English and understand very well.another colleges I don't seem they're understand what i ask and what I need shall be improving them it's very important were u at the lobby -Hotel location was great -Good for a young couples -Tour desk was excellent services -Spa so annoy us to take a promo... Our room was clean and tidy very day. Thank you to you once again Pommy definitely we will back to stay at The lantern again but don't know when see ya
If you going for the beach and partying its 5 mins walk and the Bazaan night market excellent for dinner. If for shopping Junkceylon its very near and they got everything you need. Bike rentals and tours its just outside the hotel.
The hotel is located on the main street of Patong and 5 min walk to the Patong Beach. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are cosy, comfortable and have all basic amenities required. Enjoyed the stay!
Oh the lantern! This was hotel 5/5 with a 4 night stay. The hotel is located in the heart of Patong! 5 mins from Bangla walking street actually it is almost the same street, 5 mins from Muay Thai stadium, 5 mins from the mall. Prime location! We loved that the most about this place. Check in was a bit of an issue with discrepancies between the website booking (we booked through their direct website) and the hotel itself. Staff were super accommodating and nice right from the start. Our room was pool access on the first floor around the corner from the main lobby. The room was very big and clean. Don’t bother eating at their restaurant, it’s expensive and bland. The servers don’t mix drinks properly (both our drinks were not what we ordered). There’s some great street vendors around that are delicious and cheap. We got massages at the spa that were quite disappointing. The women were pushy and constantly trying sell us massages throughout the many times we had to walk past them to our room. We had Thai massages throughout our trip and this one was the most painful and most unprofessional. There was no soothing music and the ladies talked through the curtain half of the massage. The number one reason I can’t give this hotel 5 stars was because of the noise! We are on a busy street that you sometimes hear, guests also come stumbling in all night loud, jumping into the pool. They have security but no one that enforces quiet time hours. Just be aware that the guests at this hotel are a specific type of guest that enjoy the Bangla road night life. Simple.
Very friendly staff. The room was very big and had comfy beds. A very good location close to the beach and night markets. Breakfast was good although they could use a larger dining area as there was not enough tables to accommodate everyone. I would definitely stay again.
This hotel is situated not far from Bangla Road so was close to everything, the staff were mostly pleasant & the breakfast was excellent. However, the room was always very hot & the airconditioner really battled to cool it down. We couldnt open a window or door as there was no balcony area. The most annoying thing was that the doors to each room were alarmed & if you didnt close the door properly it sounded. I understand this is for security but in the early hours of the morning when you are trying to sleep it is exceptionally annoying. This happened repeatedly as other people who were on the same floor as us came back to their rooms. The floor tiles were quite slippery when wet & you had to be very careful when you stepped out of the shower which i might add had quite a bit of mould on the grout..looked as though it needed a good scrub. As we had nowhere to hang our laundry we took it to the Hotel laundry, paid for it there & thought nothing further about it until it was delivered to us that night . The young lad asked me for 120 baht, I told him I had already paid for it so he left, However when i was checking out i found they had added the 120 baht to my bill..luckily after much hassle i produced the receipt stamped paid & all they said was ok thats settled. No apology or anything like it !! Over all this was a very average hotel ..I have stayed many hotels in Thailand so I have a lot to compare this one to & i find it falls far short of the others !
Perfectly reasonable hotel. Clean, had all the comforts. But not much extra. The swimming pool was a bit boring, not a good bar. But the hotel offers all you need. It’s clean, fairly modern, good service and above all, good value for money. The location is excellent!
My 6days in the hotel was amazing as it was like walking distances to everything you need in Patong !! An hour from the airport tho which i expected ! Check in staff were really nice and helpful! The room it’s itself was nice and huge for a non smokers room . But u could hear the city life going on outside tho but I didnt mind as I’m use to the city life as no one seems to sleep lol housekeeping cleaned my room every day so no issues there !! The staff were incredibly nice and helpful .. breakfast was very nice as I had my included with my room!! The wifi was good as well included with the room and the roof top pool ! That was amazing ! And there was a spa up the top as well !! Hotel food was nice as I did dine in the restaurant and ordered room service twice .. all and all il be staying there once again ! Get to know the hotel staff as they will give u tips on where to be go and beware of .. Nice place to be in the crowed of it all !!
Right now I’m stayimg at the hotel with my wife for honeymoon, the rooms are big and nice, although the service is not even 3 stars, for 3 days they didn’t clean my room once, and their excuse is full capacity and not enough workers .. I mean we left at 9am and returned to the room everyday after 5pm and it was never cleaned!! I asked for towels (because I had only dirty ones) I waited over an hour and called three times. Ive asked every day for an ashtray for the porch, still didn’t get one.
