The Lantern Resorts Patong4.0 out of 5.0

This was the second we have stayed at the Lantern. I don't have anything negative to say about the lantern, only that I would ask for an inside room as I found the rooms facing the side street a little noisy on the 3rd floor. The day we left there was flooding and we had to make a transfer to Khao Lak at another hotel. My thanks to the 2 guys that got us out through the flooded street so we could make our transfer.. They were amazing. Made our transfer with 10mins to spare.
....If you are a night owl, this is a perfect place to stay. One pool on the roof, two more side by side on the ground level. Parking downstairs for your car or moto, 24 hour restaurant. A very short walk to the mall or walking street. Plenty to do right outside the hotel as well. Since there are many bars nearby there is noise at night from their music, that is part of Patong. I have stayed at this hotel many many times and never had a problem with the front desk staff, security or the cleaning staff. Yes the road floods when it rains hard but it doesn't impact the hotel and most roads in Patong flood when it rains hard. Does it cost more than a budget hotel in the same area? Yes, but it is a proper hotel with everything you would expect from a much larger hotel at a higher price.
This hotel is in a prime location and has the potential to be one of the best in Patong. However I found the staff a bit unfriendly and the warnings of fines for having a 'joiner' (1000 baht) and marks on sheets/towels etc a little offputting. I have not seen this at any other hotel inThailand. According to staff, they have a clientele that is mostly of Middle East origin, and so TV stations cater for them. I found no CNN/BBC/Fox english speaking news channels on TV. Would I stay there again, No.
big and clean hotel with great location on patong peach on call DR which is really help us when my child get sick ( it was expensive but really helpful ) good breakfast very slow internet on some room
Very near to Jungceylon, Bangla Road & Night Market. Opposite with 7-11. Breakfast is good but if can improve is even better. Room door soundproofing need to improve. Can hear the door alarm from inside the room. Other than that, the hotel is great !
Fab rooms, excellent location, superb hotel staff- very courteous. overall a great place to stay in Phuket... I will definitely stay next time I visit Phuket.... Food was also good... Decent breakfast spread... Great value for money
Good overall, just a bit loud at night. It is quite close to the bars in the area. Lots of good restaurants around. Big shopping centres, Thai boxing stadium are very close. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful
This place is 100% worth paying that little bit extra for. We cannot fault it. Everywhere is so clean and tidy, the rooms and pools are spotless. Our room was facing Bangla Road direction and sleep was never disturbed. The beds are too comfy! The rooftop pool is lovely and all the staff in this hotel are so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is great, so much to choose from. The hotel is in a fantastic central location too making everywhere an easy walk away. Can't recommend it enough!
Great location, brilliant and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and large. Would recommend Lantern resort to anyone who likes to be close to the action but likes to have there own piece of paradise!
From the minute we stepped out of the taxi & greeted by staff insisting they take our bags, show us to a seat & given a cool towel & refreshing drink then within a few minutes checked in & escorted to our room. The staff were so helpful with everything including all arrangements for the Phuket Simon Caberet tickets & transport. Fantastic show I must add. Right to when we were due to depart we were very kindly offered late checkout at no extra charge & their taxi transfer to the airport was on time & hassle free. Well done to all, great service & memorable stay.
