Fed-up and tired receptionists not helping very much. Location is good because it is surrounded by tour companies and restaurants and very close to Patong Beach. Room is spacious and cooled properly. Yet, not so comfortable and clean.
Well, there is not elevator so that short of gave us a tiny heart attack.. but the staff is so helpful and helped us up with our bags. The room is really nice, the staff are all so friendly :) The location is amazing!!! Perfect value for money...
This place was zero frills (no elevator even), but it did have everything you need in a room, was clean, and the staff helpful. It was a little difficult to find--I walked by several times without seeing it. The signage seemed obvious enough once I saw it, but it is in an alley, so not instantly obvious, even with gps. Location wise, it's very close to a Patong beach and all the shops, street vendors, and many bars. The price was very reasonable.
The location of this hotel is crucial. If you party on Bangla Road you can easily and safely just walk back to the hotel. Patong Beach and Jungceylon mall are both 5 mins walk. The staff is nice and friendly. They have 24h restaurant and room service but never ordered anything. The cleaners come every day and they do very good job. The only thing I didn't like was lack of warm/hot water in the shower. Apart from that I was happy with my stay.
The hotel was clean. The room size was big and spacious. Had a perfect stay, except for the water heater in the bathroom. The staff was helpful to arrange a massage people to the room and even a taxi to the airport.
This hotel is a jewel. The service is amazing, the rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. We had a perfect stay and best of all, the price is ridiculous low. Breakfast was tasty and plenty full.
A nice small hotel in the center of Patong. Only at 5 min. walk from Bangla road! My friend and I payed 3300 bath for 5 nights in the hotel for 1 room with 2 single beds. The rooms were cleaned every day. Nice big rooms. There was at big flatscreen and a dvd-player. Nice cool AC and clean and large bath room with all the basic toiletries. The WiFi were okay but sometimes it just went off. The receptionist was very nice and friendly and was there to help 24/7!! So overall at very very great place to stay if you visit Patong!
I recently spent 3 weeks, during June, in Patong. After 2 nights in a different guesthouse I decided to walk around and check out various alternate lodgings. THe final location I looked at was the Lamia Inn. I was so glad I found this place. The rooms were far superior to my previous location and the price was 25% less. I relocated to room 1207 and never looked back. Several things about Lamai Inn made this the ultimate holiday location for me. * Value and Comfort: The price was great and the room was spacious with great AC. * Location : The central location had everything I needed. Central to Shops and nightlife. Close to the beach and a wonderful eating location meters from the hotel entrance. * Friendly: I made so many new friends during my time here. And look forward to meeting them again during my next visits to Phuket. In fact I shared Japanese Sake with other guests and even sampled some Ukrainian treats while enjoying the company of the Hotel Manager Alex. Very memorable for me and a welcome change from the usual types you meet on such holidays. *Staff: Such friendly people and very helpful it really made me feel like this was my home. The staff were great and the rooms were cleaned daily. Alex and his partner May even had a few beers with me one night. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the owner, Alex, even drove me to the airport when it was time to leave. I am so glad I discovered the Lamai Inn and I am already planning my trip back. I have visited Phuket several times and previous experiences at large tourist trap hotels left a sour taste in my mouth. I could not be happier and will recommend Lamai Inn to anyone planning a stay in Phuket. Save yourself some money and time and check this place out. You will not be dissapaointed.
This hotel could get 2 more stars thanks to very good service. Housekeeping was perfect, we got towels in room and also for beach every day!! And also bottles of water for free every day. Receptionists were very helpful and customer - oriented. There was selection of eggs and yogurts for breakfast (sometimes fruits). The room was fully equipped, there was air-condition, fridge, kettle, hair dryer, big TV, good bed, etc... The location of hotel is great, it is in quiet small street next to big street that it is full of shops and other services. Everything is close and you don't need to use taxi... We strongly recommmend to visit Lamai inn!!! :-)
Close to Bangla road, Thai Boxing Stadium and Jung Ceylon Mall. Easy walk to almost everything you want to see at Patong. Lots of top notch seafood restaurants, among other restaurants, bars and shops galore are close by on this section of Rat-U-Thit. There is a high concentration of "sexy" massage parlors in this area also, so in my opinion it's not a good place to bring the kids. The Lamai Inn shares a store front with a therapeutic massage and beauty parlor that was truly the most blissful place for me in Patong. After 6 days of diving, I was ready for some relaxation, as well as pain relief. Boy did they hook me up. My masseuse was named Lena, and I came back to her twice to finish the treatment. The first two massages were one hour Thai massages (for 300 Baht, or about $10US) and the last was a Coconut Oil massage, for my skin (500 Baht). Lena truly made me forget my pain, and we even had a chance to chat a bit. The Inn itself is funky (in a good way) with fresh remodels and new carpets in abundance. A broad stairway lead up 5 floors to the rooms (no elevator). Mine was spotless with two big picture windows (sans view), as well as a working PC and well stocked minibar. Didn't spend much time downstairs, or in the restaurant. I was either out and about, or in my room recovering. Warning to smokers. No smoking in room or anywhere downstairs that I could find. This was the cheapest hotel I stayed at in Patong and I was expecting a be a little seedy but it wasn't at all, apart from some older furniture which I liked anyway. The staff was funny, friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
