Hotel is a bit old and needs some refurbishing. Close to everything and convenient to shops food and night life. Elevators don’t hold more than 250kg although rated for 750kg. So walking some stairs maybe in order depending on how many people get in elevator. Breakfast is basic. Can be noisy at night being located in an alleyway, but generally ok for a 2 star hotel

There are two APK hotels in Patong which causes confusion with taxi drivers, (but they are on the same road) APK hotel, and APK resort and spa. We are currently staying at the later, however, it certainly isn't a resort and currently has no spa. The spa and pool on the roof looks like it has been out of action for years, and the one on the ground floor has been blocked off for the duration of our 2 week trip. It's not a relaxing, luxury hotel, but then we did book a hotel in central Patong and didn't pay much, so we can't complain about that. The location, apart from being noisy is great. The rooms are basic and clean. Our toilet flush sticks and the balcony door doesn't lock properly. You get what you pay for, and it's a value hotel.

Checked into this hotel and checked straight back out again. Firstly on arrival the staff where unbelievable rude We had booked a deluxe room and as you can see from my photos the rooms are not as the ones on the website. When I questioned the receptionist she firstly tried to claim it was a deluxe before then deciding she couldn’t understand me. The room was filthy and crawling with ants. When I spoke to another person on the phone it transpired no deluxe rooms left but they had happily taken the booking and payment. Although they kept saying they didn’t understand me a person did arrive st room with an empty can of ant spray No refund was forthcoming and we ended up booking another hotel which was of a much better standard. On arrival the porter scratched and damaged my luggage dragging us through what looked like a back entrance to the hotel. Adding insult to injury after spending 10 mins or so in the room we were made to wait whilst they checked the room for damages before refunding the deposit they had just taken. Really would strongly suggest anyone thinks twice before booking this hotel. There are far nicer hotels in Phuket for same price Stressful start to our Phuket trip

We (family of four) stayed in APK Resort and Spa between 22-25 Nov 2017 (3 Nights). Overall the look of the resort is very average, with 3-star facility. It has an attached external restaurant where breakfast is offered in the morning. We stayed in the Junior Suite on 7th floor of the New Building which is on the back side of the resort. It is quite peaceful over there even though Resort is on the main road. Room was very big as compared to various International hotels where we have stayed so far. All the promised facilities were available in the room. Though A.C. are located on the extreme corners of the room, it is manageable and room remains cool in the nights though it becomes little difficult in the afternoon time. Breakfast is of average quality with few options for Vegetarians like us. Now, comes the hiccup which was that elevator in the building where we stayed stopped working on the second day itself, and even after 48 hours it was not repaired. You can imagine with 2 kids, how difficult it could be to walk up and down the stairs. On the check out day, we had to bring all our luggage down (4 Bags) all the way from 7th Floor to Ground Floor on our own, which consumed over 15 minutes and we missed the break fast due to this. We requested the restaurant staff that, since kids were hungry, allow us to carry some bread with us, but without any hesitation, they simply refused showing us the rule written in the restaurant. Since it was there fault that, elevator in the new building was not operational, we were expecting more practical approach by them. If the customer has to bring the luggage down all the way from 7th Floor and have a vehicle waiting for the air port transfer, What else customer can do but to request to carry the breakfast parcel with us? This incident brought our Review rating down to 2, since we have not seen this in any other International hotels in England, France and India where we have stayed so far. Our advise is to stay away from APK if you have kids with you since there is only one faulty elevator in the New Building which is on the back side.

Booked a superior room at the apk resort and spa and the night we arrived they took us to another hotel further away then the location that we booked, wouldn't understand that we wanted to be moved to what we booked in the first place until the travel agent called them and re sent that a new booking and then we were told they had none of the rooms we booked available for another night, when we finally did move to the original hotel they once again put us in the wrong room and once again the travel agent had to re send a booking and once again we were told they had none of the rooms we booked available so we spent the next 2 nights in an economy room that smells like the aircon is connected too the toilet. The regular staff are lovely but the management is woeful, couldn't not recommend it enough.

We have just returned after an 11 night stay from 1st to 12th November 2017. First of all, please ignore the bad reviews.... nothing wring with this hotel at all !! We had booked an economy room for our stay and the room was more than adequate.... however our balcony view was a massive grey wall and we were kept awake by the aircon motors. The following morning i asked for a better room and was advised "you have booked an economy room" i asked how much to upgrade to another room for the duration of our stay and was quoted 5000 baht (approx £113). I said i woild get back to them. Around 10 minutes later they called me over and upgraded us for free :) slighlty bigger room with a mountain view..we were well chuffed. Breakfast was adequate.... toast, jams,marmalade. Eggs, noodles, rice, salad, fruit, yogurt, juices, tea and coffee. Location was good also, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars. 10 min walk to Bangla Road and around 15 min walk to the beach. 2 beds and an umberella will cost you 200 baht for the day. Roads are manic to cross so you do have to be careful. Street food is good, our favourite reataurant was Two Chefs... excellent food and atmosphere. Yes you get pestered loads when walking om Bangla Road but just say a polite no thankyou and tjey leave you alone. Overall stay at APK was good and would stay there again

This hotel is situated near Patong beach and the rooms are also very good and comfy. It also has a swimming pool on the roof and one can get a nice view of the city and the beach from the terrace. Food served here is excellent and they also have buffet for breakfast. There are many grocery stores and restaurants situated near this hotel. If you want to experience night life of Phuket, Bangla Road is where u wanna be. It just takes 5 min from this hotel to go to Bangla Road

I was in APK Resort for 5 days. Besides the location, there was nothing nice about the hotel. I didn't meet a single person in the hotel who seemed willing to help guest or even talk to them. In many of the complaints that I made to the front desk, once the Front-desk manager said that "You Indians should be treated that way!!!" If they have such great issues with us indians then why would they give us a booking, and should be denied that right in the beginning. My first day, I was given a room with a not working telephone, a not working television, and a single light for the entire room. Upon complaining, their response was that these problems are existent in every room and there is nothing that they would be able to do about this. I had taken a package with Bed and Breakfast, however I had breakfast there only once. On my second day, I was leaving for a tour to Phi Phi island and got late. The tour transfer guy had already reached the concierge desk, hence I didn't feel it to be appropriate to keep him waiting. Hence, I decided that I would pick up some breakfast and eat it on my way. Let me remind you that I had already paid for the breakfast. I picked up two slices of bread and a butter to take along with me, and when I was exiting the restaurant, one of the staff came running at me and snatched the breakfast out of my hand and started misbehaving. He infact made comments about my being Indian too. I left the two slices of bread with that guy and stepped out. Till my last day in Phuket, I didn't eat at the APK Restaurant and didn't even feel like doing so... It was the most horrible experience, I have had with any hotel in my history of travel. So if you are a traveller who wants to feel welcome and entertained by your hotel, then this hotel is not for you! Particularly, if you are an Indian, please don't go to this hotel. The have a biased opinion of Indians and don't entertain any of our request.... I have never left insulted or humiliated by an hotel staff before, and was surprised that they work in the hospitality industry. If I could explain the staff of APK Resort and hotel in one word, then the word would be 'Apathetic'! Please don't go to this hotel!!!!

This is my 3rd visit since Year 2011 & 2015, very disappointed. Pros: -Informative hotel concierge. -Hardworking housekeeping, complete toiletries provided. -Located central at the Patong area. 100 metre to Banzaan Night Market & Jungceylon shopping mall. 10mins walk to Patong beach. Cons: -Corner room are very noisy as it facing the main street, not suitable for light sleeper. -Wi-fi are not accessible in the room, available at the lobby only. -They do not provide slippers in the room. -In two consecutive days, stained bed sheet & duvet cover found after the room been make up. -Swimming pool dirty and it's in poor condition due to lack of maintenance. Breakfast option not necessarily require as there are plenty of restaurant nearby.

3 stars hotel...standard facilities, good food, good bf....budget hotel like others hotel...nothing special except the location near juyclon mall and banzai market...there was alot of mosquito in my room...and it was anoying...
