Everything felt relatively new. Gym was a nice feature. I felt safe and room noise isolation was good. There were elevators to take you to the other floors. I brought my own mobile WI-FI with me so I didn't need to purchase a Wi-Fi plan. I didn't see an ice maker anywhere.

When we first walked in we were hit with a horrible smell of like fish or something. The window was even opened to air it out but it didn't work. We were just to tired to go down and request another room. And once you were in the room for awhile, you didn't notice it. Only if you left and came back in... BOOM,,,,,,hit with it every stinking time. The floor looked like it wasn't mopped. There were what looked like coffee spills on the floor. A round sticker that the cleaners didn't bother to get up. We had to take the bag out of the trash can and it was SO nasty at the bottom of the can. Gross!! There was something red that was spilled on the floor under the desk area. The bed was SO noisy. The frame it sat on was the issue, so every time you moved it, it just made all kinds of noise. There were no room-darkening shades on our window. Just regular blinds, which I've never seen before in a hotel. And this hotel wasn't cheap. I would not stay here again......

We requested an accessible room. I never received notice that the request would not be possible so I could make other arrangements. My father-in-law is unable to get into a bathtub. He must have a walk-in shower with a seat. In addition we pulled the covers down in our double queen room to find blood and either chocolate or feces on the sheets. I went to the front desk to see if we could get the sheets changed. The girl managing the front desk was shocked by the fact that housekeeping would let this happen. She was the only person on shift that night. I asked if she could give me the sheets so I could change them and bring her the dirty linens. She was very accommodating and saddened by the situation. The next afternoon the manager called while I was in the shower. He indicated that he wanted to refund one of the rooms and asked if I could come down to see him. When I got down there, his intention was not to refund one of the rooms. He was going to refund the room and apply it to another one of their hotels so we could have an accessible bathroom for the second night. I told him no that we already drove 26 miles to my son’s house so my father-in-law could shower before my son‘s wedding. When I told him about the incident the night before… he blew it off and said he would refund me half for the second room. He was very arrogant. We will never stay at another choice brand hotel again. I doubt I will see the refund!

The key kept malfunctioning for the room so extra trips to the front office. When I requested a late check out they said “sure we can do noon”, Then I asked “do you need my room number?”, they said “yes”. Tried to get into my room at 11:10 and the key did not work. Again. I needed to push back plans which required a late check out in the first place.

The room was not clean, just staying 1 night for a concert. Floors were nasty on our room and common areas even the elevator smelled like tires. Front staff was nice but housekeeping needs some training. Table and counter has rings on them from glasses.

Had to go to conv store next door to buy ice as there were no ice machines available. Also room did not have a coffee maker, although, coffee was avail in the lobby. Bed was comfy and the hotel itself was clean. Practical safety measures in place. Ample parking. Staff helpful and friendly.
