Recent guest reviews

Bed was old and bumpy. Noise level was horrible (hotel guests arguing, fire trucks, police sirens). Carpet was dirty, bathroom fan was very loud. My sister and I stayed here due to a family medical emergency and the online reviews were great. Never again!!!! At check in the person at the desk didn’t say hello or thank you, just credit card and ID.

Basic, good value, very convenient, close to the venue where we went to see a show.

Clean, bathroom all working. Good wifi. Close to downtown. Nothing fancy. You get what you pay for.

I loved the location...I was attending a concert that was a 5 minute walk away.

I was surprised how there was so little traffic and noise downtown. The motel is located close to the concert hall and more. I liked the screens over the windows, which helped make it cool and darker in the room. I would stay here again.

Pretty much standard for a motel. The quality of the water was a bit different from my normal water at home. Rooms were made up by the staff every day.

Owners and staff were super nice and accommodating! The room was clean and comfortable.

Clean facility; no cabinets in bathroom. No room for your appliances. etc. They provide a small soap. The bed is OK, awfully scary, bad, neighborhood.

Good location and close to convention centre. Breakfast can have more choices. Thanks.

Hotel was well maintained despite being a small and older hotel in the downtown area.

A little pricey for the amenities offered. It's just a room close to downtown.

Clean, friendly staff, beautiful new bathroom.. Excellent location and room for the price.. Front desk was very friendly

Don't expect a mint on your pillow .. but you will get a clean, well maintained little room deep in the heart of town. No in-room coffee machine. Only possible down item is that it is across the street from the "Van Buren" nightclub, which is a pretty jumping joint! My room faced the street and the kick-drum could be felt through the floor! Not obnoxious, just noticeable. Did not distribute sleep.

I stayed in this hotel for six nights and the staff were very kind to me.

We were a little nervous about the downtown location at first. It is a transitional neighborhood, but that's a good thing: Lots of upscale renovation and improvement going on, some great hip little neighborhood restaurants within easy walking and driving distance, and actually pretty quiet (relatively speaking). Yes, there were a few homeless wandering the streets, but very few. The rooms were very clean and cared for, but nothing fancy--it is Rodeway Inn, after all -- and breakfast, while not sumptuous, was surprisingly varied laid out in the tiny lobby. I would consider staying there again, especially once the live theater opens up across the street!

While this hotel is on the outskirts of downtown Phoenix and definitely could use some updating, its clean, had a comfortable bed, and was managed by a very friendly, accommodating couple. I was attending a conference at another hotel and this was a bargain choice where I was able to get a good night's sleep.
