DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Phoenix

Highlight was the very knowledgeable airport shuttle driver (Pete, I think). The guy knows everything - not just about Phoenix, but Arizona as well. He gave us great advice about our entire trip.

Pros: Close to everything in Phoenix. Free breakfast (although we never got out early enough to eat it). Room service food was delicious. Fresh cookies from the front desk. Two televisions in the room (a must for us because we have kids). Cons: Rooms look is a little dated. Mini refrigerator (we would prefer a full refrigerator ). Small bathroom.

Hotel was nice overall. The construction going on is a bit of an eye sore and obstructs normal flow of hotel. The Hotel staff was accommodating for the most part friendly. The room was clean and service was punctual every day. Needs a bit of update to the decor.

Double Tree is usually very nice and that is why we chose ii but this hotel was under renovation. We should have been notified or given a large discount.

The hotel is old, worn, and dirty. The picture that is used on Orbitz is not the picture of the hotel. We had 3 rooms - all had carpet that was greasy, dirty and smelly.

Very nice hotel, very accommodating, hotel staff very pleasant, room was clean and quiet, bar and restaurant was also very good, excellent complimentary breakfast and hotel shuttle was excellent, also reasonable priced

The pictures they show are not accurate! The hotel is not the one they show pictures of. We had 3 rooms- all 3 smelled of cigarettes and filth, the carpets were so dirty that when our grandchild crawled on the floor, her knees were black and oily. If you took your shoes off, your socks would be black with dirt and other residue that was on/in the carpet, In one of the rooms something was dripping from the ceiling onto the cabinet which the tv sits on and was forming a white crust on the counter. Beds were worn out, when opening curtains, years of dust and dirt would come off into the air..The rooms are accessed by walking outside. It may have been a nice hotel 30 years ago but it is so run down and dirty. I can’t believe Hilton would want their name on this dump. the breakfast was good. Don’t stay here if you can avoid it- the rooms we had are not Fit for human use!

Very comfortable stay, room was clean and very quiet, we have stayed here previously and enjoyed it, That's why we booked it again

Outside of building is beautiful. Parking is very crowded. Dining area is appealing and organized food was standard hotel breakfast. Our suite smelled mildew-y and the tv in the living area did not work.

The warm cookies at registration were just what we needed after a trip from Tucson to Phoenix. The service at the front desk was efficient and friendly. The fact that we can take the shuttle to the airport and leave our car on premises without outrageous long-term parking charges, is a great incentive to stay at the DoubleTree again. Everyone was friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our stay!

Stayed overnight before an early morning flight the next morning. Arrived and found out that they were renovating so there was a detour to a temporary front desk. Check in went fine and found a parking close by. Room was comfortable and clean but we could hear people talking until two in the morning. Ate at the restaurant in the hotel which was fine and the restaurant was newly renovated. Staff were very friendly. Decided to take the 4:30 shuttle and we were downstairs 10 minutes before as instructed. The shuttle was there but we were told it was only for specific airlines which was not our airline. The shuttle was not full but left anyway. This left about at least 8 people there so when the shuttle returned there was no room for us. We were left with two other people to wait for the next shuttle. The hotel did call a cab and paid for it but only called one cab so we waited again. The shuttle finally returned and we were able to get on but we had already waited more than half an hour. Luckily we didn’t miss our flight. There was another shuttle bus sitting in the parking lot but i guess no drivers. Other than the shuttle situation the stay was fine for the price. I did like the suite set up. Plenty of room to stretch out.

Check-in process was quick and staff very pleasing. But not very impressed with the overall condition of the property. The layout was very confusing with poor signs to find the room location, especially since it was late evening. It was poorly lit within the courtyard of the property as well as the outside. It took us 3 drives around the property to locate the specific gate to get to our room. The room was clean and spacious but the furniture looked really old and tired. In the morning the toilet got plugged, so we had to use the public washrooms.... but to be fair we did not have the time to report and have the staff fix it since we were checking out that morning.

Hotel felt like a resort bcuz everything including my friends I were visiting were closer than close!! I felt comfortable and at ease which important to me!

I booked this hotel based on positive reviews and that it included a breakfast buffet which was actually good. The hotel was decent. We did get put in a room right next to the housekeeping storage and laundry. Every morning just before 8am I noticed loud talking and laughing right outside our door. I didn't think that was very professional. The door to our bathroom couldn't close and the draining in the tub and sink was somewhat clogged. Overall, its a good hotel to stay at. I kind of expected a little more. The cookies they give you at check in are great though.

5 min shuttle drive from Airport, call hotel for complimentary shuttle service from PHX. Accommodations adequately met our travel needs. Suite room provided plenty of space for two. Complimentary coffee and buffet style breakfast available. Centralized pool area was comfortable. Warm cookie provided at check-in always appreciated.

The stay was amazing, the pool was great, the room was great as well! And the pool was big and heated!

Great experience Wonderful staff Easy check in/out Good pool area, restaurant a bit small but the bar area is pretty nice

Food, room, staff were excellent! Only complaint was the elevators that outside weren't cool at all. Especially when this is the hottest season of the year. Need to get repaired.

Had a great morning breakfast everyday. Great bar/lounge area.Had everything that I needed.Happy that I chose this hotel!

The free warm cookies at check in are always a plus at the Double Tree. Rooms were spacious and clean but a bit outdated.
