Super bad neighborhood, across the street from the prison, and the lock on my room door wasn’t that sturdy, and the door had clearly been forced in before. But it didn’t matter, or the torn, stained bed clothes, or the tv remote with no batteries, because when I saw the inches of standing water in the bathtub preventing me showering, I got a refund and another motel reservation. Too bad about the $4 in ATM fees I had to pay across the street because they have a surprise $25 cash deposit policy. Anyway, stay the heck away from this place.
Thru Orbitz, I booked and paid via telephone and agreed to a non-refundable booking. On the afternoon that I checked in I found 2 hookers walking on the street in front of the hotel. The room assigned to us was very filthy, moldy smell. The room was very dark because the wall light switch was broken. There was no bedside lamp. The smoke alarm on the ceiling was dangling. Outside the hotel, a couple was fighting, throwing food to each other. Two parked cars had flat tires. I felt I was not safe to sleep overnight in the hotel. I voiced my complaint to the person in the counter. He told me that he could not change the room, that I already paid for it therefore no refund of my money. I checked in at 5PM. I checked out at 6PM and got out of that place fearing my life. I have talked with an Orbitz employee via telephone about the hotel and I asked for a refund. Orbitz did not honor my request. I paid for nothing.
I got in late-about 11:45 pm. Fortunately within ten minutes the receptionist appeared. But there were no towels at all! I asked for sheets instead. Then there was no hot water. I was so tired from the long trip that I didn't get the room heater adjusted. Woke upat 4 am cold. Pretty rugged arrival.

I was denied service by the hotel patrons. Then, when I called the booking agency to get a refund, the hotel staff told them that I had trashed their hotel rooms in the past. A totally false claim as this had been my first ever trip to Phoenix. Just spend a few extra bucks and avoid this place and the Airport Inn, which are both run by the same guy.
The condition of the room was bad. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and there were burn holes in the blanket. The worst problem though is that if you go outside at night you'll be approached by beggars who are high and appear willing to rob you, there are prostitutes everywhere, there appear to be drug dealers hiding by the street, and nobody is around to be a witness or help if something bad happens.

Someone pounded on the door at 4 a.m. Hookers soliciting, drug dealers and pimps and police all over the place. Not a clean place, would not stay here if I was paid to stay
The manager did not honor our request to change our room. Room has a wall light switch that does not work. Manager said that all rooms are like this. We have to walk in the dark to find a bedside table lamp to light up the room. The room smells mushy, moldy. The smoke detector above the only bed was dangling from the ceiling. Hookers were roaming around the street. Two parked cars in the parking lot have blown out tires. Two couples in the parking lot were fighting, throwing food to each other. We checked in and after 30 minutes, we checked. We were afraid that we might get sick staying in a mushy, moldy room and afraid for our lives.
Where to start? The pealing paint and taping in bathroom or the condom wrapping left on the filthy carpet? The ripped and holey sheets? The curtains that weren't hung correctly and ripped? The open bottle of wine left in the fridge with a zip lock bag over the top? There was No soap in the bathroom-only a shampoo. When I requested from the front desk guy-when I could find him-for an extra towel, as there was only one in the room, he had to search 2 other rooms to find one. How about when I asked about ice, the front desk guy said to go get it from the hotel across the street! The many ladies of the night on the street corner were a nice touch as well Parking was scary and I definitely did not feel safe I don't have a clue how anyone could give this place anymore than the absolute minimum. there isn't anything that I can say positively -other than it was not too expensive, but for what it provided it should have been MUCH cheaper!!! I truly think that hotels need to be vetted a little more especially to be safe for women.
Although the people seemed nice who checked me in the reception place itself was super hot, no air! The room had dirty towels the partial rug made my feet blacj , not even a soap to shower was availble (lucky for me I travel with some). The surrounding area ia seedy with hoojers and drug dealers
This hotel was clean and had the basics, but not in the best of locations. The person that checked me in was friendly. I probably would not stay again, but it was OK for this last minute trip.

This seems to be one of the lowest cost lodging options near the airport. For good food you'll need to go for a drive, the nearby stuff is cheap tex/mex fast food. It's a very short drive to the airport car rental return, I think it was only 10-15 min.
had a family emergency and did not have the money to spend so we picked this hotel due to budget and distance to hospital. first the rooms were nothing like the website. dirty and smelled like mold. we just didn't feel right so we left 5 mins from arriving. as we left we noticed that it was across the street from the Arizona Prison Complex. i was there alone with my daughter. no wonder i didn'tfeel safe there. it was so not worth the $85 a night. i left and went in search of another hotel. don't stay there unless you are visiting someone at the prison or don't care for your safety. i gave them 1 star but they reallly don't deserve that
