Disappointed
I booked this property for the amenities, heated pool, hot tub, number of beds and the cellar with theater, and the pickle ball, basketball court. The house was good for what we needed it for. I paid extra 300.00 for a heated pool. When I checked in the host that met me said the pool was heated and it clearly was not. She told me that because the air was cold it was taking all the heat out of the pool. The pool vacuum was laying on the lawn and the pool was not vacuumed. The house smelled moldy. The hot tub top was so rotted it was falling apart and left a lot of debris in the hot tub, to the point I would not get in it. The host said they have been asking the owner for years to replace it. She did not know if the outside lights were on a timer or how to use it. The "mini golf course was so full of leaves the holes were packed full. First impressions I was pretty disappointed. She did not know how to use the theater which later we discovered the batteries were dead in all the remotes and there were no batteries. Then we discovered the main lighting over the kitchen table did not work which was difficult to play cards or eat dinner in a pretty dark area. There was still hair all over the floors. The blanket in the master smelled like urine, and had blood stains! some lamps were missing the knobs. It was just not well kept.
The next day the maintenance man came to look at the light and could not fix it. so they told me to grab a lamp from the bedroom!? He did bring batteries and vacuum out the hot tub and shock it and told us not to go in it for four hours. so four hours on the nicest day we couldn't use it. He looked at the pool and admitted it was not working but the host said it was because her app on her phone said it was warm. The pool heater was flashing low pressure pump and we told him not to bother heating at that point because it's not worth it for us. The next day we started seeing the pool heating up and that was our last day and it was dark and rainy. The pool finally reached its hottest temp the day we left. Now I was told they would heat it before we came and it was not. I asked for my money back and I had a hard time getting a response and finally when I did they just kept referring me to the contract and their app. Not sure about these app's but it definitely was not working and they were not helpful at all and just plain disrespectful. customer service was absolutely horrible. I would never stay at this property again.
