Had a very short stay at this hotel. Was greeted cordially at the front desk and check in was a non event. Upon exiting the elevator on our floor, we noticed a not so pleasant smell about the place. Upon entering the room, the smell was even stronger. It was like air freshener over old carpeting. The room was fairly large with one king bed. The carpet was old, really old. The bathroom was ok in size. The shower head needed replacement as it just trickled water. Basically, the room needed renovation. The property is located just off a busy freeway and it was loud. Rooms that end in 21-29 are right on the freeway, avoid them. There is good potential for this property after a good renovation.

1st room smelled strongly of smoke. 2nd room smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. 3rd room smelled mildly of cleaning supplies. Bed was lumpy. Couch was broken. Bathroom was small and smelled moldy. It was very early in the morning. Switched hotel the next day.

Our stay was ok, friendly staffand the room was ok.

The hotel was fine but the noise from the highway was incredible.

Budget hotel. Staff was nice but rooms are in need of renovation.

LOVED room #106! It was clean and the beds were so comfortable! Perfect room for four!!

Hotel was clean and comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone that is staying near ASU

We like the kitchen with 2 electric burner stove, little fridge, little living room with a sofa with 2nd TV, with USB charger and complete continental breakfast.

Daytime staff didn't even give eye contact, let alone a welcome. There were 3 at the desk and no one was helping another person and chose to ignore us. Towels and linens were worn. I woke up with back ache. :(

My stay was wonderful....ammenities were great except that the breakfast bacon was swimming in bacon grease. I will definitely stay there again.

Could have been better, but met my needs. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Close to the freeway and many of the MLB parks in the area! Staff was very helpful with local recommendations.

Slept like a rock. In Phoenix in July, ac worked great.

It was decent. We were not a fan of the small pool located at the entrance of the hotel.

This hotel is a great location. Even though it is right next to the freeway, you can't hear it.

This hotel is well kept. I really enjoyed my stay, my room was super comfortable.

We ended up not so near our kids as we expected, but it was an easy freeway ride to their house. And, bonus, the freeway entrance was just across the street from us. Loved that convenience. Our son had invited us to see a band we took him to when he was 8 years old, New Year's 1980. We had so much fun together. The hotel was so comfortable, loved the bed, wanted to take it home. The room was good-sized and having a little fridge in the room is always great news. We enjoyed our stay and the great hot breakfasts. Thank you.

The hotel was nice, clean and had a hot breakfast. Good hotel for the price.

Very thin walls. From bed, with a sitting room between, I could hear footsteps and passing conversations in the hallways. TV clearly audible in the next room. I swear I heard someone tuning a guitar in the next room. And I'm on the deaf side. The AC was also a fairly loud roar, although it was white noise. The air near the elevators was inexplicably hot (leaking from above?). Otherwise clean, comfortable, adequate. The staff was friendly and obliging. The small outdoor pool would be nice for small children. At $60 a night in the summer, a very good value.

I typically like staying at Hawthorn Suites hotels while traveling, however this one did not impress me. The building is nice and the hotel was clean. Management could make the place better, but they seem to do things on the cheap... Location isn't the best (tucked away from other hotels and/or restaurants). Overall it is not a bad hotel if you simply need a place to stay for a night and that is it.
