This was a perfect size for our family of 6. The loft for our boys, the couch for our girls, and the bedroom for us. Two bathrooms was a must and everything was clean enough. Definitely could use some fresh caulking around the shower. Loved the industrial vibes. The AC made a crazy noise when not running, but we were thrilled with how cool it was while 100 degrees outside. They put tons of earplugs around the room indicating they know how noisy it is. Unfortunately, the view was an alleyway, and the mural was dull and boring (unlike the bright colored one online). However, the space and location were ideal. If you're looking for something unique, I would absolutely recommend this place. Overall good experience.

4th of July stay

Accommodations were great and access to watch fireworks was amazing. But the delay in check in really through my family for a loop and had to delay at the train station and cancel a tour due to inability to check-in, change and have a place to clean-up as planned. We were delayed about an hour and a half.

Sonder changed the location of my room on the day I was arriving. I booked to be near a convention center and ended up having to take Lyfts back and forth. It took me multiple phone calls and several minutes on hold ot speak with a human being, who was helpful. The room itself was nice.

Sonder Smells

It was our family's first visit in Philadelphia so overall, the city is a little questionable in some parts. The location of the Sonder Heid was in a convenient spot to our concert at the Met. The hotel was renovated but it has a heavy industrial feel to it with clean white linens, countertops and modern furniture. The musty smell was ok to handle until all we could smell was sewage. We called the front desk and they couldn't get us into a new room and instead offered us canned air freshener. In telling the front desk at checkout, she simple said she make a note of it.

Stayed here with my family while in town for new balance track meet at Franklin Field. Spacious and clean. Kitchenette area is a bonus with freezer & refrigerator and very well stocked with plateware and utensils, including paper, towels, soap, etc.. my daughters and myself loved the rooftop area. Amazing view of the phily skyline. Very comfortable lounging! Would absolutely stay here again next time in Philly!

Piece of heaven in Philly

Our stay was amazing! It was wonderful walking into a beautifully appointed space. The Heid building is an old hat making factory or millinery. It has so much charm. They took a cold, and practical aesthetic and transformed it into a warm and inviting space. As time share owners we look for comfort and convenience when stating in hotels, and the Heid did not disappoint! The check in was contactless, everything went through my phone, their were luggage carts for us to take our luggage, and the entrance had a human security guard after 8 as you entered with your building code. The space was large and provided a more the adequate storage space, a dishwasher, farm sink, full range, oven large fridge and freezer, as well as an in unit washer and dryer. It was clean, smelled fresh and made our three day stay even more enjoyable. We did not have opportunity to enjoy the roof top deck (next time) due to the weather, but we took a trip up to it to view it and it too was lovely. The only down fall ( it is Philly) is that parking is not available at the property, the loading and unloading zone should be designated to allow for guests to be able to load and unload without fear of having to park down the street, however, we were able to obtain parking at a garage on Broad street for a great rate, allowing for in/out service. We cannot say enough about our stay and will gladly return to the Heid. Infact, we are searching for a Sonder to stay while in Phoenix later this summer.

The room is honestly even nicer than we expected. The kitchen is stocked with basic supplies and the fridge and counter are absolutely HUGE. Having the washer/dryer in unit is such a rare treat. There’s also a decent gym, lounge and outdoors space on the top floor. Our ONLY complain and the reason this is 4 and not 5 star is that the sofa bed is rather springy and uncomfortable. Having a mattress topper would have really helped.
