Nice hotel staff is so accommodating. However they charged my room twice was a process to fix this.

Very friendly staff Clean amenities way above average

stayed at the homewood suites on city ave for one night before the philadelphia marathon. location was not the easiest for getting downtown, but was otherwise great. big rooms, en suite kitchen, clean, and friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites- City Ave this past weekend, and would definitely return. The rooms are huge and comfortable with a king size bed, living area, small kitchen, and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff that were very accommodating and happily gave us late check out. We ate at the steakhouse in the attached Hilton which was very convenient, the restaurant was nice and the food was good but a little over priced. The only two things I would change is that you do have to pay for parking in a lot a little ways down the street but its only $5.00 and it is very close to the hotel (we could see our cars from the room). And the proximity to Center City is about a 20 minute drive with traffic. But if you plan to go out in the Manayunk/Mainline area and also in the city, as we did, this hotel is in a very convenient spot. Would definitely recommend and return!

We were quit surprised that for what we paid for our room, room service was not offered, there were no vending machines on the floors and the "free" breakfast was not that great. The rooms were nice but they should be for what we paid. Overall, I would not stay there again.

We had just spent two days at a different hotel for approximately the same price and it had no microwave or refrigerator. The beds were not nearly as comfoftable. This place was a wonderful change. We will look for Homewood Suites whenever we travel from now on!! Beautifully appointed rooms!

I would have liked to have found something cheaper but this seems to be a pricey neighborhood and I wasn't quite willing to go for the 2 star option. Everything in the hotel was nice (although a hot tub in addition to the pool would have sweetened the deal a bit more). Outside is not all that pretty and while it's just across the river, its a bit too far to walk to the Manayunk neighborhood where there are lots of nice restaurants.

Quiet good-sized room, great location, friendly staff -- could have used an extra wastebasket

The hotel only had 1 working elevator. There was not a separate elevator for the cleaning staff. The waits were long and the elevators crowded. The only other elevator was broken for a week, we were told. We had bikes which we had planned to store in our room. With 1 elevator, this was quite difficult. We asked if they could find a place to possibly store the bike. They didn't even try or appologize. We ended up going next store to the Hilton, and, they were more than happy to accomodate us. The Homewood staff didn't even suggest that or try. Our rooms were never cleaned the first day that we were there. When we returned to our room at 3:30 to change for the evening, they wanted to "make up the room". We asked if they could wait. Their reply--we leave at 4:00. So--our room did not get cleaned that day. The bathrooms have no ventilation. And, the TV did not work. Overall--I would not recommend the hotel.

Went to our daughters graduation from her resident program and they were really good with us from the time we entered the hotel till we left

Carpet in room was stained and showed much wear as did carpet in hall. Furniture upholstery was also stained and worn. Floor was not vacuumed. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered wide variety of good that was good.

We stayed here to attend the Philadelphia Marathon. Close to the city. Good for cooking your own pasta the night before with the available kitchen! Very clean. The only bummer was that we had to leave too early for the 6:30 breakfast.

Upon arrival I was notified that the room that was requested was unavailable. They did everything that they could to make up for the inconvenience and exceeded all expectations

I was near my daughter University. The breakfast was included, the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.

Very comfortable room.

Friendly staff. Used the valet service at the adjacent Hilton which was worth the $10 fee due to twice going in and out. Bed was comfy. We did not utilize the kitchen area but it was nice to have the fridge and coffee maker. A great place to stay for 2 or more days. Convenient to RT 76 and there is a Chilis restaurant right across the street.

We have never stayed at a Homewood Suites Hotel before, but we were very pleased with the value we got for our money. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the features of the room including the kitchen were very nice and the breakfasts we had were excellent. If I was in the area again I would definitely stay there. If I had friends or family staying in the area I would definitely recommend the hotel to them.
