The building was decent enough, under some renovation, but OK. It truly wasn't the building leading to this poor review. It was and is the people staffed there. They seemed lethargic, uninspired to see a guest. It was as if we were messing up their night. Room was nicely sized, bed was a king that had "body dents" or impression like i was sleeping in a swale. Morning came got up, showered went down to the buffet breakfast. That is where we met the best staff member. The lady greeted us with a warm good morning, a pleasant smile. The oatmeal was good. We left for our day and returned later in the afternoon. What a surprise, our room hadn't been touched. No maid service - bed not made, trash not emptied, nothing refreshed, not even the coffee set up.. We went to dinner came back later around 10:30. A group was in the dining area enjoying some local fast food. I came down later for some tea, and the guests did an okay job cleaning up, but not perfect. I cane down early Sunday morning for coffee, and the table was still not 'bused.' Someone sat at the front desk staring out the door, not a little bit interested in busing the table, which still had trash on it from the night before. The coffee bar hadn't been restocked, either. On Saturday morning, the creamer was practically empty and was just the same on Sunday. I asked for a refill, but after several minutes, gave up. Given that this hotel showed wonderful ratings, we expected so much more from this hotel.

Overall, the stay was nice. The Shower head had options you couldn't use, also the water temp could use some adjusting (Ice cold to lava hot with not much of an in-between). The bed springs were also seeming old and not very comfy or firm, made for a rough night of sleep.

This was our first time staying here and we really enjoyed it. The room and the hotel were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that the breakfast was wonderful, but the eggs, sausages and potatoes could be kept hotter. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

We’ve stayed at this hotel about half a dozen times. It’s such a nice location! We like concerts in Philly and then drive the 40 minutes to this hotel before continuing the journey home the following day. There’s terrific shopping in the area .. so many places we don’t have up in northeastern PA.
