Nearest Marriott system hotel to PHL airport. No airport shuttle - 7 minute drive. Hotel in room comfort was good, but overall impression was dubious. First, the lobby rest rooms were locked and required a key, not a room key but a giant physical key on a stick! Parked my car, and discovered EVERY ENTRANCE was hard locked. Forcing a walk around to only the front entrance. The layout was more about a funneled entrance seen in high security building and not an open hotel. Begs the question: it’s South Philly, but is the area that bad? We hoped not, and all was fine no car damage, but still left a funny impression.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Good selection of food at the free breakfast. Suggestions for improvement: Four pillows for both queen beds (1 bed had 4 pillows but the other only 2). The placement of the bathroom door in the accessible room was difficult to get the wheelchair around. That being said, would recommend and would stay again.
