Stayed here recently for 2 nights on a business trip. The location is excellent and great location not far out of the CBD. Very clean room and Bathroom although the rooms are quite small . .Good little convenient restaurant downstairs and off street parking. Will certainly stay here again on my next visit and pretty good value for money.
Stayed here for two nights my husband was in hospital so I stayed here because of the fact it wasnt far from the hospital he was staying at. It was old but clean, staff were lovely the food was average. I didnt like the bathroom floor as it became extremely slippery when wet the night before my husband went into hospital my husband slipped over and went for a 6. There is no screens on windows so bugs or anything can get in when you have a window open.
Rooms are very small, bathrooms are tiny. Room was clean. Feels more like a back packer hotel. Very budget and over priced for what it is. We checked out on Sunday morning and went home, we left an item in the shower on the soap holder, and contacted the hotel by both phone and email and they said there was nothing left behind. I know for a fact I left it there. It was an item that was worth more than the nightly room rate. Its not in any of our bags. The bad thing is that I stayed at the Sullivans in Sydney many years ago, and the same thing happened their as well. Be careful not to leave anything behind at this hotel, you will never see it again.
My partner and i stayed in this hotel for one night at the start of our 2 week trip to WA from the UK. Via booking.com this hotel was easy to check in at the desk (requiring I.d. and a credit/debit card for verification). Greeted by a lovely receptionist we were given the keys and directions to our room. Located on the 3rd floor we had a standard double room - with a complimentary chocolate, tea making facilities and beautiful cold air con !! This room was more than adequate for what we paid for. Only think I would say is that it could be a little more updated :) . Other than that, the location is great in getting into Perth via the bus stop outside the hotel.
Stayed here for one night as a couple in which it was an OK stay. Friendly staff and quick check in however, in some desperate need of modernisation. Location was good with a bus stop outside or a short walk into town. Probably would look elsewhere if to stay in the same location. Good points: > Location, as it close to the city centre, bus stop and park. > Friendly staff with quick check in > Good sized rooms with powerful AC Points to improve: > Hotel in need of desperate modernisation with most areas looking worn down (i.e. lift doors squealed like mad when doors opened and closed!) Bedroom and en-suite felt outdated. > Bathroom seemed to have raised area when walking into. I nearly fell over and face planted the bathroom floor! > Breakfast was a little too pricey and cheaper to get bus and eat in town.
Stayed here for 5 nights and found the location great. Our room had a balcony and was spacious and clean, breakfast was good and had a meal in the restaurant . Friendly staff at reception and restaurant. Free wifi and having the option to use the bus at no cost outside the hotel to city centre was good, equally the walk through the park opposite was pleasant.
Sullivan's is a reasonably priced hotel near Kings Park in Perth. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed the proximity to the city and the quality of the hotel and it's services! Had a fantastic afternoon sitting by the pool on a particularly hot day! Why spend more on 4-5 star hotels when Sullivan's is equal or better!
We stayed in the Sullivans Hotel during the Ashes and thought the hotel was really reasonably priced considering the time of year that we stayed and it's great location to the Swan River, CBD and Kings Park. However not being able to receive wifi in the rooms is not great at all and makes it tricky to plan off the cuff days and meals out as you have to do this from the quite drape hotel reception rather than your own room. When booking it does say that you won't be able to receive in your room so it wasn't a shock when we couldn't receive the Internet, however it is a drawback of the hotel. The hotel itself is pleasant enough and the rooms are an ok size for a couple, however aI would say the property is in need of modernisation. Reception staff were largely very friendly and the gentleman that worked the night shift was super, being friendly and very helpful.
For the prize a good Hotel. Simple and spartanic fullfills it's purpose. A little to simple for my taste. By feeth you arrive without problems to Perth centre. You can book trips to Rottnest via reception. Really good breakfast and incredible friendly service personal. They made the stay something special. Really nice stay.
This is a nice hotel to stay in if one wants access to the Kings Park, and its Botanic Garden, just up the hill from the hotel. Breakfast is very good, and the staff are charming and helpful. Our room was a small standard one, but quiet as requested. The front of the hotel is on a main road, but we were at the back. The only downsides were the noisy air conditioning (no instructions in the room as to how to use the remote control), and the wifi is only available in public areas, as shown on its website. It is 15 minutes walk to the centre of town, and to the lovely Elizabeth Quay.
