Sad yet clean and affordable

We have stayed at the Sole many times and enjoyed it greatly, but it seems that time has taken its toll. . We could feel the springs in the mattresses, and the comforters/ coverlets were absolutely worn out. The filling had clumped and disentigrated . I intended to get pictures of this, as it was very visible when held up to the light. Housekeeping should be embarrassed to put those on beds.

The property was nice and the staff were really friendly. The hotel does have small showers and the parking is limited so we had to park on the street a couple times. The breakfast was also very limited to prepackaged granola bars, fruit cups, and yogurt. Overall I would stay here again.

Older hotel, really comfy bed. Tiny bathroom with look limited storage space. Cute reception area with happy hour every day. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast is packaged belvitas, fig bars, juice, yogurt, fruit cups. Anytime coffee, tea and water.

Overall it’s a nice place. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Excellent location for hanging out downtown. My only critique is the beds were uncomfortable. I was told some rooms had upgraded beds but ours was hard, definitely a cheap mattress. I’d stay again

Pros-Excellent customer service, very friendly and helpful staff, beds were decently comfy, very convenient to downtown Pensacola (walking distance), quick drive to the beaches (20 mins), complimentary happy hour with beers/wine/snacks each day from 5-7pm in lobby Cons-old facility but has been somewhat updated, small stall shower, low water pressure, ugly/gross black toilets/countertops original to building, key cards had to be replaced several times (deactivated themselves if too close to our phones)
