I have stayed at Tristan Towers multiple times. The place is centrally located and is very nice. The views of beach and bay are wonderful no matter the unit. This particular unit was nice, but needs a deep cleaning. Everything just seemed a little clean and others things not clean. The sofa is filthy. There are pillows on the sofa to cover the dirt, but pillows are just as dirty. If you are staying any length of time, you unpack your belongings. I didn’t stay long enough for that, but I would have never placed anything in the drawers as they all need a serious cleaning. When I spend this kind of for a nice vacation, and pay a ridiculous cleaning fee, I want my stay to be clean and comfortable and it was not. The A/C is controlled via a schedule. If you are too cold or hot, it cannot be adjusted to your liking. I was cold during the day and had to wear a jacket most of the time. At night I was too warm. I want to be able to adjust the A/C to my liking. First time I encountered a stay where I couldn’t adjust A/C. I did not bring my concerns to managements attention. When I checked in I found my initial management contact rather unfriendly, so I chose not to say anything. In general, Tristan Towers is the place to stay. I just found this stay uncomfortable because of its lack of cleanliness and temp issues. Otherwise the unit has fabulous views.
