The value was good and the room I was in had new carpet and had been partially remodeled/upgraded. It still has old furniture and beds but it was very clean and they did install flat-screen tv's. The location is good, the parking is limited. The value is good but don't expect too much. The breakfast room is very small and the selection is very limited but it works fine if you just need something to get on the road. The do have a waffle machine.
My husband and I chose this hotel because it was the most affordable for the nights needed. We traveled 10 hours, over night and got into town at 6am. Knowing check-in wasn't until 3pm, we went to breakfast followed by taking care of the business that brought us to town I the first place, then took a long drive thru the back country and farm lands. By noon we were both pretty wiped out so we headed to the hotel. We were greeted as if we were long lost family and allowed to check in early. I cannot express how relieved we were that we didn't have to wait for 3pm check in. We also were met, at our vehicle, by the front desk person, assuring us that we need only ask for anything we might need... very caring, very refreshing!! Would, very much recommend this hotel and will be staying here anytime we're in town.
I saw the pictures on trip advisor showing that the rooms were dated but it didn't show that the building is old and in need of work. The steps to the second level had carpet hanging on to the tread a little scary in the dark. Also had the original windows which we could see needed some work with caulk or something to hold them in because if you leaned on the window sill you could see below the window. We didn't use the heat or air so I don't know if it worked. I will give them the 3 stars because the room was clean. The bed had a rattlely mattress protector so each time I moved it would make noise which in turn would wake me. The breakfast was good with waffles, cereal, bread for toast and some juice, coffee and bananas. The employees were friendly.
I am reviewing this hotel based on the fact that it is a Rodeway Inn. When I book a hotel room, I don't expect a Rodeway Inn to be a Holiday Inn, and I don't expect a Holiday Inn to be a Marriott. This was a nice Rodeway Inn. We stayed in a 2-Queen bed room, which was clean with a microwave and fridge and was actually pretty large. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the towels were soft, the shower was good, and the breakfast was basic but good, and included fruit (banana). I'm not sure how reasonable the rate was because I used Choice Hotel points, which were more than when we stayed here a few years ago, but still not unreasonable.
This place reminds me of the motels we used to stay in when traveling with my father - back before the days of Interstates! It is probably of similar vintage. First, note, this is not a cookie cutter franchise hotel located out by the highway; it's in the center of town. Dated but well maintained and cleaned. Rooms are small, nothing fancy here, but include a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There is some sort of breakfast here but we did not try it due to schedule. If you are on the ground floor, you hear every step above you. We paid a lot because it was the day before the eclipse and even booking months ahead it was still over priced. For $50 or $60 this would be a decent deal.
We were please with the response to our call for reservations and assured that there was "a room at the inn" so drove in. Friendly, helful staff. The room had everything I consider important. A comphy bed, good a/c, fridge and roomy (although I would suggest moving the bed a bit further from the window so the person sleeping on that side can actually get out of bed without hitting the wall!) Management was helpful in providing an additional chair as sitting on a bed is NOT an option for some of us. The only thing I found lacking was a light/lamp on the desk enabling writing postcards OR using the Wifi.
The General Manager Angelica(Angel),is very friendly and helpful. Rooms cleans and very large. Everything works. Micro and fridge. Wifi fast and works Breakfast great. Quiet place and walking distance Main Street. Safe place. Im stay again
It was cheap and clean-ish but I probably wouldn't stay here again. There was a really harsh cleaning smell in the room that never went away. I didn't sleep all that well and the bathroom was a little ick. Didn't stay for breakfast because we woke up early and hit the road right away.
Not good not bad. Room had a weird maybe cleaner smell but at least we didn't get a headache from it and we didn't seem to notice it after a while. Clean room, fairly quite, not much of anything to see in Pendleton. Didn't stay for the breakfast since it opened later and it looked like it was only going to be extremely minimal.
Attended a conference at the convention center and stayed here for two nights. Friendly and helpful staff and room was very clean and quiet. Continental breakfast was in a little breakfast room and waffles were good, fruit ok and milk cold.
