My husband and I recently had the pleasure to stay at this hotel and were extremely pleased. The hotel was overall lovely with all its decor and the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, everything was within walking distance and close to the metro. Our concierge Marc was wonderful....he truly went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Thank you Marc!!
I chose this property because its positioning to the sights which we wanted to see. Being our fourth trip to Paris and with only two days and one night to utilize, I am totally pleased with my choice. The rooms are spacious enough with ease of movement, clean and very well equipped. My only reservation is the size of the breakfast room which is specially challenged. I must mention here the absolute pleasure that the concierge was to deal with. He was extremely helpful and courteous in all respects and an asset to the hotel.
I have been to the Waldorf Madeleine on 2 separate occasions and both experiences have been wonderful. The staff routinely goes above and beyond to help make my stay an enjoyable one. I will most certainly use this location again. Thank you.
Hotel was very comfortable and close to tourist attractions. Staff were very helpful. Felt safe staying on my own. Staff went over and above to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Paris.
Stayed 5 nights at €157 a night. Comfortable "not small but not huge" room with comfortable double bed. Work desk and chair. Wardrobe to hang clothes and dry cleaning service offered. Air conditioning. Modern decor. Bathroom functional. Room service the first night took over an hour to arrive - comes from offsite. Breakfast filling (bacon, eggs, croissants, juice coffee etc). Lift. Staff all very efficient and my lack of French wasn't an issue. €45 to Orly airport. A number of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Good option depending on what location you require.
Great location in the 8th district. Fairly central and easy access to the bus and metro area. Hotel is clean and has a good service team. Front desk always manned and communication is fairy easy although I do not speak French. Staff have varying degrees of English. Plenty of diversity in choices for meals at the many local restaurants. French, Japanese,Chinese, italian etc. Close to all the big names in fashion as well as the local retailers shops. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
The hotel was located in a good location with accessibility of 2 train lines. There are good cafes, restaurants , shopping , museums just within walking distance. The concierge and staff is worth a special mention. They were very helpful, friendly and runs the property very well.
I've stayed in multiple hotels in Paris. This one is average, and on the higher side of the pricing scale. Tiny rooms -- a standard full-sized luggage (e.g., Rimowa) will bump into corners of the wall/bed if you try to open it up. A group of us went on a business trip and our travel agent had to pay different prices for each of us, and oddly, the person with the highest room rate got the smallest room while the person with the lowest rate got the largest suite. Odd system of room assignment and no help from the front desk. On that note, the staff were initially very nice, but when the aircon system broke on the first night of our stay (stuffy, high-30s Celsius temperature), the front desk staff were completely overwhelmed and unhelpful. Shrugged their shoulders and said nothing we can do. I almost slept in the lobby because there, the aircon was working. On a positive note, they agreed to comp us the entire mini-bar in the rooms, otherwise it would have been completely unbearable. Breakfast was free, which is very much appreciated, but of average quality. Disappointing coffee and croissants, considering this is Paris.
I had earlier had made a reservation at the Ibis out of town but that turned out to be such a sore disappointment that we made a fresh one online at this Waldorf and thank God for that. Didn't realize that there was more than one Waldorf in Paris city, I first landed up at the Waldorf Montparnasse. Thankfully they were extremely helpful and we were soon at the Waldorf Madeline. It was a superb location (a very important factor for all my selections during my extensive travels. Although my partner preferred to use the car but left to myself I walked to all the places I wanted to visit - Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Jewish Quarter, the Champs-Élysées, Pont Neuf and the Notre Dame Cathedral. I am 67 and if I can walk it everyone else can. Being a photographer for me you can't beat walking if it is possible. The hotel besides being so centrally located served a decent breakfast, and the room though not very large was good, comfortable and the bathroom was superb. No complaints whatsoever. The hotel has an old world charm which I love however it does look slightly run down. I think just a bit of more effort towards maintenance can fix that. This is not so much a complaint than a suggestion. HIGHLY RECOMENDED for location and friendly professional staff
This boutique hotel is right in the heart of Paris. Marc (the Concierge) was extremely helpful, showing us where to go on a map of Paris. The room was small, in fact, everything was small, including the breakfast room, however it was clean and very comfortable. We loved our stay here and would go back in a heartbeat.
