It is excellent location. Easy access to any locations, metro, and bus. Tons of great restaurants around this area. Hotel staffs are super nice and help. Cannot wait to go back and stay at the same place.
I had a great experience in this hotel. Very clean . Also u get this handy cellphone for free u can use very useful when u are walking around Paris. The people that work here are wonderful Especially the manager Eric
Excellent location in 9th arrondissement (bordering the 2nd). Fun neighborhood with many good restaurants, and lots of great, foodie specialty stores, patisseries, etc. Walking distance to the Louvre, and higher end shopping area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Large room, especially by Parisian standards; comfortable beds, in-room coffee & tea. Our room was furnished in a sumptuous, Parisian style: deep red carpet, wallpaper and upholstery, with gilded furniture, heavy drapes, etc. We liked it a lot; it gave the room a lot of character, but it might not be to everyone’s taste. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again.
The hotel had very comfortable beds and rooms which for me was the most important - getting a good sleep. The breakfast was alright, bathrooms and showers were clean and accommodating, and wifi was quite reliable. since it's an old hotel, entering and exiting with a real key was a bit challenging - the door was stiff and difficult to close/lock. In addition, smoking smells lingered in the hallways which was unpleasant. Aside from that I had a good stay.
Decided to bring my husband to Paris for his birthday and chose this hotel. With mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, on arrival the hotel was a lovely surprise, we were taken back by it's beautiful decor, the spacious room and the staff were super friendly and helpful. For a eurostar visit, it's not a long walk from the Gare du Nord and also close to the opera district, metro and tourist buses. The streets are full of restaurants, bakeries, bars etc. so feels like a good spot all round. Only down side is we were only staying one night!
Just completed 2-week stay at Villa Opera Drouot and can't wait to go back. Second stay at this great hotel and already planning on a third. Its central location and elegant amenities are an attraction for a new visitor: the staff and service are the reason you will want to return again and again. The rooms are elegant and large by Paris standards. They also include all the amenities that you would need, along with complimentary smartphone use during your stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom stocked with soaps and such, the cable tv had English news channels. Best of all, rooms are decorated in dramatic Parisian style that fits perfectly with the building and city you are visiting. Hotel is located just off busy Rue Montmartre du Fauborg, but just far enough off of the busy street that arriving and departing for the day is not hectic or overwhelming. The streets surrounding have a wide range of restaurant choices, and the Follies Bergere is just up the street. There are supermarkets too, across the street and around the corner. With all this, the rooms were quiet at night, even with the windows open. I did hear some singing, but this is Paris! The best aspect of this hotel is its staff. From the manager Eric, the incomparable and incredibly helpful Inés, to the rest of the professional and friendly staff, they made my stay a delight. They assisted me in adding a couple days because of weather in NYC with no fuss, and were also eager to answer all my questions. They were even patient with my elementary French. I can't recommend them highly enough! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Villa Opera Drouot and am eager to return. It is an elegant and friendly oasis in the middle of a wonderful district in Paris. If you like to be in the middle of things but feel right at home, this is a great place for you!
The good people at Villa Opera Drouot were extremely accommodating with my ever changing travel plans. They were very warm and welcoming upon my arrival and let me check in early. The room was picturesque and just like what's shown on the website. The bed was very comfy and the room was always cozy and warm to come back to. The location itself is major key. You're in the middle of everything, and the front desk is happy to outline any route for you on a map. I was actually quite sad to leave! Thank you for a wonderful stay, Villa Opera Drouot!
The lobby of this hotel is beautiful and the staff were more than accommodating during our time there. The hotel is located in a wonderful area. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel!
Good location ten minutes walking distance from the Opera. Old but clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly service. Good choice of multi language television channels. Compared to other hotels in Paris the Villa Opera Drouot is reasonably priced. After it snowed during the night the hotel was able to find me a taxi when it was very difficult. I will use again.
This small hotel is well located, within walking distance of most of the sights of Paris. The beds were comfortable, the room spacious and the red gold and black colour scheme gave it a sense of faded glory, like a quality shabby chic. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful (speaking much more fluent English than my limited French). The room was cosy despite the sub zero temperatures outside, and overall we had a very comfortable stay.
