Wow! That was my initial reaction as I first entered this hotel. The staff were so attentive, extremely polite and incredibly helpful. My room is wonderfully oppulent and tastefully decorated with heavy drapes and beautiful paintings on the walls. The view from each window is perfect allowing the sounds of Paris to waft in. Minor point is that the hotel is on the brink of shabby but still chic (just)! 9/10 😎
The hotel is well situated so you can walk easily to the Ile de la Cite and also to the Sacre-Coeur. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable.Very clean and there are many restaurants and cafes close by as well as supermarkets.
Picked this hotel as it looked lovely and traditionally French. Very easy to find from Gare du Nord station and did not initially disappoint. Loved the decor and feel of the place. Unfortunately, our safe didn't work in our room and as it was the start of the holiday and we had lots of hard saved euros (and our passports to look after) we asked to change room. After some discussions (lots of sighing and moaning on their part) they were happy to move us to a room with a working safe. The room was fine, bedsheets and bathroom clean and smelt nice! The walls looked a bit damp but this did not bother us at all. Location of the hotel was fantastic for walking to Monmartre, Eiffel Tower, locals bars, restaurants and boulangeries, couldn't have asked for more. On the whole, the staff were very friendly, made us feel welcome and helped us out with directions. Only negative was on the Saturday night there was a party (which if we weren't so tired we would have gone to!) it sounded awesome, but not ideal when trying to get a good nights sleep. I would recommend this hotel, don't expect total luxury, but certainly it contributed in making our holiday amazing. I would go back here.
The hotel put us in a room for the first two nights that was extremely small. It had a narrow wooden stairway to a loft with a little bed in it. I could barely stand up up there and the stairs were easy to climb down to use the restroom. They moved us latter to a more conventional room that was good size and much more comfortable. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful. The decor was nice. The location was nice because there were several cafes near by and and really yummy bakery. The downside of the neighborhood was it was noisy at night lots of parties.
The room was pretty good, a little on the small side, but a km and a half from the Louve. Lots of different types of restaurants in the area. Check-in person was really helpful with map and ideas on where to go.
Very good personnel efficient, I had a nice big rol in the " aficionados " level, with a balcony. good bed and nice ambiance. Breakfast needs to be impoved Very well placed near bar, restaurants and tube Quick Check in and Check out
Joel is friendly and convenient the period furnishings in the rooms need a GENTLE updating staff very helpful and friendly. Plenty of convenient and varied food available locally. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.
Starting from 5 minutes to metro station, and main sights, till nicely decorated room, helpfull staff, I enjoyed very much being there. Hotel is a bit hiden from main road, so it's pretty quiet inside. Parisien sharm is all over!
Really lovely hotel. We had room 101 which was a really great size. People complain about it being noisy but we didn't find that at all and we were only one floor up. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. There's a really nice patisserie just around the corner which is nice for breakfast and also a little supermarket the other way. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we thought we'd be easily be able to get breakfast elsewhere for less than 15euro each, which is true if you want just pastries but, I underestimated how much food would cost so if you want a decent breakfast it's probably worth the money. The only thing I would say that could be improved would be to provide more tea, coffee and also milk in the room. We brought our own tea from the UK anyway but we did go out and buy coffee and milk for the room. Room was cleaned and made up everyday. This is a really lovely hotel Ina fantastic location and I would definitely recommend booking.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. A great spot that is walking distance to most attractions. Great value for money. and I would definitely stay there again. My only issue (and this is probably my fault) was that I was unaware that breakfast does not come included in the price of the room and it's an extra 15 euros per day.
