We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was at the end of our Euro trip. Not sure when this hotel was built but we felt like it was brand new. Lobby, room all looked modern and very very clean. We loved the interior of the room, good size bathroom. This hotel is located pretty close the main street where one can easily get UberX, Taxi or Bus. Though it's little bit far from the Eiffel tower area but we didn't face any issue for finding ride. We were welcomed here with chocolates which tasted really good, a very warm way to welcome new guest. Loved it! Will definitely stay here again.
Fabulous hotel with decent sized rooms and very helpful staff! Also an amazing breakfast with so many fresh options and also cooked! If I was to return to Paris id def stay here and in a nice quiet area also!
Stayed for 2 nights during a week-end in Paris. The hotel is in a great location, not far from Gare de Lyon and Bastille metro station, so it's perfect to be in a not too touristy area but still be able to get around. The staff was very nice and the hotel looks nice overall, but I was a little disappointed by the room considering the price we paid. It was really tiny (even by Paris standard) and the space on one side of the bed between the bed and the wall was minuscule. It also seemed to have quite a lot of small insects flying around (not sure where they were coming from, the room was clean otherwise). We did not have the breakfast
Was booked into this hotel by my work for four nights - first impressions were good friendly check in and hotel looked presentable with a comfy bed. However, wifi didnt work for me entire stay (several excuses given - on arrival it was works on cables in the street which then turned into we are changing supplier - so basically BS) no wifi in a 4 star business hotel is just unacceptable and made my life more than difficult during my stay - no compensation given. Secondly there were about 10 mosquito splatters on the walls and ceiling of the room which is bizarre in Paris. I had to add to these as every night without opening windows i was inundated with these flying nightmares. Possibly something to do with the canal at the end of the street but very strange for paris in november. Breakfast buffet was passable but nothing special scrambled eggs were gross. All in all just not worth the money.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon in June. We thought the location of the hotel is good, close enough to the Metro station and close to bars and restaurants in Bastille. The bed was nice and big and very comfortable. Rooms are quite small but this seems to be the norm in most hotels we looked at. We were room only but you get a fridge so we were able to buy some water and some things to make for lunch and keep it cool in the room. Air con was great especially as when we visited there was a heat wave! There is a really good pizzeria nearby called 'Pizza Julia' - it looks like a takeaway but there are a couple of seats, we visited here twice! There is also a small supermarket about a 3 minute walk from the hotel and a little bakery at the bottom of the road, very handy if you are room only. Would stay here again.
We selected Le Marceau Bastille Hotel when we planned our trip to France, because it was perfectly located in Paris, near the Gare de Lyon and within easy reach of our destinations. It was perfect for us. The front desk staff, day or night, was delightful. Our room was small, but with every possible amenity, and spotless. The complete breakfast was a lovely surprise; eggs, meats, fruit, great croissants and superb coffee. The hotel is contemporary, with colorful chairs and a display of art work on the walls in the lobby and dining area. There is coffee 24/7 and an honor bar, too.
I booked this hotel last minute following a business trip that was cut short near Lyon. Came back to Paris with the train. 5 minutes away from Lyon train station, this hotel boutique was a surprising discovery for me. In a quiet neighbourhood, I was amazed by the decor upon entering the hotel. Very pleasant and helpful front desk staff, rooms are spacious and so comfortable! I would definitely return as I had beautiful memories of this single night spent at the Marceau Bast
Modern interiors, friendly service, and comfortable beds in quiet room.....you really can't ask for more. We were pleasantly surprised that our room, albeit small, had a wonderful bathroom and all the needed amenities. We had enough space to store our luggage, and unlike other reviewers we had no issues with the wifi -- it worked fine for us! We loved the buffet breakfast-- fresh fruit salads, cooked eggs, and all the beautiful pastries and breads you desire. Coffee machine produced excellent coffee. All good!
I really loved this place!its very nice and cozy!close to the Bastille square and to the metro station! Clean and beautiful rooms!moreover the breakfast is served in a nice table room.staff was very helpful and they made us feel very comfortable
We spent in all 4 nights with my wife there. All is pretty correct : breakfast, cleanliness, nice employees and very very convenient place with 4 close metro stations, including "Gare de Lyon" and "Bastille". The only bad point is about Wifi. When it is working, it is kind of slow (a little better in the lobby which uses a different Wifi), there are a lot of connection loss and the special screen that is used to identify login+password at every connection (including after each connection loss) has some difficulty to be displayed (especially in the "upper" floors).
