Nice hotel for a central location as just steps away from the subway. Small room, aircon worked but that was all. Nothing amazing. The bar downstairs does nice food. Would look to stay maybe a few streets away next time.
It was my wife's big 60th birthday so I needed something extra special for her. Once I'd decided on Paris it seemed that going to The Moulin Rouge was the perfect night out whilst we were there. So where do we stay? Look no further than Hotel Le Chat Noir, a mere 2 minutes walk away in the same street. Our room was perfect, the bathroom lovely and the staff so helpful and friendly. There was a relaxed feel about the place and although fully booked we hardly saw the other guests who obviously came and went at different times to us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and their attention really made a difference to our enjoyment whilst staying there. Would definitely go back both to Paris and this hotel. The area of Montmartre was alive with bars and restaurants and had a really good vibe. And if you are up for a lot of walking then all the key sites North of the Siene are accessible on foot but also very easy on the metro.
The hotel has nice friendly staff, clean and nice spacy room with good bathroom. Rooms howver are quite noice from noice from main street - each morning from the machines used to clean the sideways - and noice from adjacent rooms
12 minutes from Gare de Nord - handy for the Eurostar. I know the area really well so it was the perfect location for all the places I planned to visit. Clean, quiet, friendly and tea / coffee making faculties in the room. We also had access to hot drinks in their breakfast area 24-7. Can't recommend enough!!
Good staff Good rooms Good design Good food Good cleanliness Good room service Fair location (5min walk to Montmartre and sacré cœur and 20 to 25 min in metro to other locations and 30min to the airport)
I was concerned about staying at this hotel because of its location in "The Red Light District". If you've been to New Orleans then this is so insignificant. There were a few shops selling sex toys and some bars with dancers, but I never felt intimidated or unsafe. The hotel is small, but the rooms were a nice size with a great bathroom. It is the only hotel I stayed in in Europe that had bathcloths. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner worked very well. I can't say enough about the young man that worked at the reception desk. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but he was wonderful! Friendly and helpful! We asked if he could chill a bottle of champagne while we were out, and he not only chilled it, but gave us an ice bucket and champagne glasses when we got back. We spent the first part of our vacation in France in the Latin Quarter, but this location is completely different and worth a try.
The bed was the most comfortable and i was glad that the windows were glazed to block out the noise from the streets during any time of the day plus there was an-ok air conditioning system. I wouldn't recommend staying in 201 if you want a view as the view in that room is to the side of the street. The staff were super friendly throughout the stay. I was surprised there wasn't a shower curtain in the bathroom so the bathroom floor would always be wet. Keep in mind they will ask for the full amount once you check-in. I also requested a laundry bag and they took and delivered it on time with a smile. All in all great cozy little hotel. I'd recommend it if you want to be in that area.
We had the newly decorated room in the 7th floor with the balcony and the view to the Paris's roofs and Eiffel tower, - that was pretty nice. We especially liked the quality of the bed (very big, new, comfortable with the good linen) and cleanliness everywhere.
I booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday. I was a little nervous as I knew it was bang in the middle of the red light district, and also because it was so cheap. The hotel was excellent I can not find anything to complain about. It was central to everything - there is a underground across the road. Except for the odd sex shop, I wouldn't have realised it was the red light district. It certainly isn't seedy and nobody approached us. I felt totally safe. Moulin rouge is literally a couple of doors down from the hotel - 2min walk. As for the hotel it's self; I thought it was modern, decor was stylish. Room was perfect, bed was amazing - more comfy than ours! We didn't have a bath but we had a huge walk in shower. The hotel staff were lovely, anything we needed they helped us with; ordering a taxi, plug adapters, iron....etc - they were friendly and polite. Travelling home to England, we spoke to couples that had paid double what we had for accommodation and weren't even staying in central Paris. If we were to visit Paris again I would definitely book this hotel again. I really don't think you could find better for the price. I would recommend it to everyone!!
lots of traffic but i couldn't hear any of it the petals on the bed was new the view was the spectacular view i had dreamed Paris would be it must be why they call it the land of love the room service ladies where great at keeping everything spic and spam not a speck of dust and they where very pretty i regret not asking one out the food was great one of only two inns ive been to with great coffee yours is better and the beds where like clouds was nice and warm the baths and showers where spectacular and the water heats up faster than my house the shops near by where "interesting" but being here i explored anyway and found some new thing out about paris and its people saw the eiffel tower you guys had sweet caring and very generous counter service keep up the great work
