The hotel itself was very nice, the bird up near the roof needs shooting as that's all you could hear on the terrace and the corridor when the window was open. The room itself was very nice but the air conditioning was terrible, apparently it had broken down on the hottest day of the year ansn't working properly, they gave us free breakfast which was a nice gesture. It was a real shame as the room was very hot, I had to resort to a wet towel in the middle of the night. You really don't expect to have to do this when your paying over a £150 for 1 night with no breakfast.
Not a 4star hotel, but a decent one. Rooms were pretty small, maybe smaller furniture or re-organizing might help. From the shower you first got warm water, then suddenly a bucket of very hot water and after that a bucket of ice cold water, then back to normal. Didn't like that there wasn't a sink to wash your hands in the same space as the toilet was. Breakfast was ok, basic. Location was good, metro close by, nice restaurants. In room dining was a bit confusing. In the menu, there were a few items you should be able to order before the restaurant downstairs opens for dinner, but when my friend called, they said in room dining is only open when the restaurant is.. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly!
Room was tighter than I thought, surrounding area full of constructions, although close to Gare de Lyon if your goal is like us to stay in a hotel overnight that is close to train station. Breakfast buffet was excellent, reception people was excellent and helpful, just the surrounding environment is not suitable for family.
I chose Novotel because it was convenient for both Lyon and Bercy stations. On that count it was OK. However the impression otherwise was of failed automation in a penitentiary. The room was sparsely furnished and the window was small. In the bathroom the water glasses were thin plastic which easily broke. The hair dryer was stuck to the wall which would no doubt have prevented its being stolen. On the beverage tray the cups were paper. There were no robes (I didn't ask for any). In a room for two there was only one chair. Breakfast is an opportunity for a hotel (rarely taken) to show its mettle. Everything was automated including the coffee service, leading to queues at the two temperamental machines. The food offer was OK if low end ; it was theoretically possible to fry your own eggs but the temperature of the plate was so low hard boiling would have been quicker. Staffing appeared reduced to a single maître d with helpers to clear and replenish. They cleared well but struggled to replenish. Either they failed to replenish the pain au raisin - a fairly standard offer at a French breakfast, as well as being a personal favourite - or they were absent. In response to general complaints but in particular about the coffee the maître d came good and offered some friendly and personalised service, not what the place stands for. Perhaps the hotel is specially designed for rowdy transients going to concerts at the Arena next door. For other travellers (we booked online and paid 161 euros including breakfast) it was a two star experience under a four star label.
Worst stay ever, we are a family of 2 Adult and 2 children. room was very small. staff wasn't willing to help. Breakfast food was below average. I wouldn't recommend this hotel next time I visit Paris.
I stayed in the hotel in may with 22 person of my group. I am tour leader. We were happy about services, kettle and tea service in the room, 2 complimentary water in first day, clean and nice rooms. Breakfast was Okey, fresh fruites, self service fried egg service (i liked), dried nuts... Bar manager (Mr. Mansour) was very helpful and made our stay cool, he is professional and kind. He does nore than his responsibilities and it has big Value. Thanks Mansour. Receptionist Julie was kind and professional. One time they forgot tu make call for wake up but after that she cared about it... Wifi internet works very well. Metro is just 5 minutes from hotel and you can go with NUMBER 6 directly to CHARLES DO GULLE (Etoile) and Champs Elysses. I would stay another time in the hotel. Nice experience. Thanks Iman Roein Deji Room number 114 18 -22 may Ciao!

Great hotel, very clean & modern, we stayed there to watch the ice hockey world championships, it's a stones throw away from the arena, staff are really friendly, great food, breakfast is by far the best spread we have had in a long while, there were characters at breakfast making balloon animals and face painting, great value for money.
We stayed at the Novotel for almost a month. François, the bar manager made our stay very enjoyable and made us feel at home from the first day. I can only recommend the Gourmet Bar @ Novotel. We spent some really nice evenings here!
The room for this hotel is pretty simple and there is nothing special about it, the bed is not super comfortable in the pillows are very hard,On the other hand location is amazing if you were going to an event in the arena it is just a couple steps away, also the breakfast was very good.
