The hotel is old, you can get a better hotel for the same price. The air conditioner/heater was not working, and the towels are old. It seems that the cost optimization of the hotel is deteriorating the service.
We loved this hotel. The location was perfect, convenient, easy to find and right in the middle of where we wanted to be. Across from the train station was perfect for our day trip to Giverny. Easy to walk to shopping! We arrived early before check-in but the kind staff allowed us to check our bags so we could venture out and see the sites! The breakfast was very good. Our room was small, but just right for us - my daughter loved the twin beds! Definitely recommend this hotel!
We had a family vacation towards the end of May this year, the hotel looked fine on the pictures and I even checked reviews before booking. I made several mistakes on this one..... firstly they do not give refunds, everyone out there, make sure the terms and conditions include refunds. We checked into the hotel on the 28 May 17, the check-in process was fairly straight forward and it did not take a lot of time at all. They do not have porters, so you need to carry your own luggage... no problem! When we saw the room it was bordering on ok, however, the next morning we wanted to have a shower before heading out for the day and there was no hot water. We complained to reception, who was quiet snotty about fixing it. The other thing is that their internet does not work all the time, downtime was being experienced almost every day. The hot water situation carried on until the third day, by which time we were ready to check out.... however NO REFUNDS!!! They did eventually fix the issue but we still checked out early. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star by any stretch of the imagination. I would caution travelers to take note of the negative comments... The hotel is also very noisy as the station has passing traffic at all hours of the day and night... Breakfast is also below average and the service in the hotel is bad.
I have never been so humiliated by hotel staff in my life. If I could give them a zero I absolutely would. They ruined the start of what was supposed to be a vacation for my family to rest and relax. As soon as we walk through the doors, an employee working the front desk begins to yell at us "NO SPACE!" continuously. We then proceed to show him the voucher that is our proof that we had a reservation for 2 rooms that were booked at least 2 months prior to our arrival. He then proceeds to yell at us that it is impossible because they are "completely booked". We then ask how can they be fully booked if we have had a reservation for multiple months which he then proceeds to blame our travel agency. My mother asked for the wifi so we could book another hotel and call our travel agency since we "didn't have a reservation". He tells us to go outside on the street to get Internet. Thankfully we are able to use our phones for a quick phone call. So we proceed to call our travel agent and he quickly books us at another hotel. The travel agent however does confirm that our reservation is correct and that the employee is the one at fault. We have still not received a refund or any compensation for their terrible service and I warn anyone who visits Paris to never stay there unless they want to be abandoned because of unregulated employees.
The location of the hotel its nice, its clean but could be better.rooms are medium size.internet its good.its worth it for the value.price-location very good deal if u dont want to spend a lot.anyways u go for visit not to stay in the hotel
The hotel is old but clean. The towels are also old. The location is convenient - near the train station and bus stop. There are also several restaurants nearby. There's free WiFi but it gets slow after some time.
We stayed here between 26th May to 29th May. The hotel entrance is very small and it can easily be missed but it is right outside La Gare Saint Lazare with easy transport links to almost everywhere. The location of the hotel is spot on. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby too. The room was very spacious, there were three of us girls so it was the perfect sized room. The only downer would be that the toilet and the shower are on separate ends of the room with no sink to wash your hands where the toilet is. Overall it was a good hotel, with very great and helpful staff. We did have our electricity go out once but the maintenance staff were quick to sort this out. The Wifi is not great in the rooms and very weak. It was probably most strong nearest to the door. The only thing I would like to mention is on the day we were due to check out and catch our flight, the hot water stopped working which meant we were unable to have a hot shower. The staff were already on to resolving this and were very apologetic. As a gesture of kind will, we were exempt from paying the city tax at check out.
Quiet hotel with easy access to public transport, shopping and restaurants this was more than sufficient for our 4 night stay in Paris. Breakfast is self service and has a number of options (not really a cooked breakfast for those wondering) eggs/breads/croissants/cereal and yoghurt just to name most of what is available As repeated in some of the below reviews Wifi is not good, it works some times but drops in and out regularly, found myself just using my international data out of frustration A few english channels on the TV CNBC/BBC Europe 4/5 seems sufficient, its clean, quiet and well located and the deal available for us was definitely value for money
I stayed for 3 days and yes the location is very good. Next to st lazare station and so close with many restaurants. Its also very easy to go to Louvre, Eiffel, and other tourist spot because the bus stop just in front of the hotel. If you wanna go for shopping then just 5 minutes walk you will arrive in Gallery Lafayatte
I wanted a hotel right next to St Lazare station and Expedia had a really good deal on the hotel so i went for it. I cant really think of anything good about the hotel other than it is quite and they have an elevator. My major complaints are that wifi would go out every 10 minutes and you have log back in. The bed was small and not very comfortable. The shower would leak every time I used it and the water would go all over the place and I would have to clean up. The hotel staff said this was normal abput the shower. I used there computer and its internet would go out alot too. They also charge a lot for breakfast and It didnt look like much so I got my breakfast across the street at Starbucks instead every morning. I dont recommend.
