We booked a standard two twin room with a view of the Arc de Triomphe. For a little over a hundred dollars a night it was a good value but breakfast was not included for that rate. The room was very small (we barely fit our two pieces of luggage) but had a charming old word touch. The bathroom was small but modern and had a hair dryer; water pressure and temperature controls worked well. We had a small balcony with no chairs that had a side view of the Arc de Triomphe. There was a small desk, tv, and beds were comfortable. The internet was free, not secured, but worked pretty well most of the time although not lightening fast. The best part is that the metro stop is in front of the hotel, which goes a long way with sore feet. The Le Bus Direct which goes to and from the airport is steps away from the hotel, which makes for a convenient and affordable airport transfer. The hotel is close to Champs Elysee. There is a Bagelstein next to the hotel, which is great for breakfast and lunch.
Hotel Belfast is among these old fashioned small property owned Hotels in Paris. The rooms and the facilities have been kept in the 1960's style. Only the price has moved up over the past 40-50 years. The hotel would be granted a max of two stars everywhere else. The only good thing about the hotel is the location, very close to Arc de triumph. if you choose this hotel, please pray that your neighbor will be silent as the walls between rooms are made of cigaret paper. A safer option is to bring earplugs with you for a good night sleep. The breakfast is minimalist and not worth a try. For 200 euros a night including breakfast, there are surely plenty of better deals in town
Hotel Belfast is probably my most favorite in Paris! Let's talk: Location - The hotel is centrally located directly steps away from a train stop and steps away from the Arc de Triomphe and the famous Avenue de Champs-Élysées. You will be able to quickly get to wherever you need to go from this hotel. It is very accessible and not on a crazy street. Transportation - Hotel Belfast is steps from the train or 1 Euro 70 cents away from the Eiffel tower. You may also use Uber or a taxi, there are also bike rentals right outside the front door. Accommodations - The standard room is adequate for 2 people. If you have more than 2, I suggest using their website to see their guest number suggestions per each room. The bathroom was newly renovated . They looked like they were painting the stairs when we were there last. Free Wi-Fi is included! Food - Breakfast is included and consists of French bread, various meats (cold cuts), boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, juice, milk, yogurt, coffee, tea, and water. The hours were 0630-1030 or so. Seating is limited so you may have to share a table or wait for a table to free up. Service - Cleaning service is quick and they are polite. The front desk staff is always so polite and they speak English. It was raining out, they gave me an umbrella to use for the day. This will always be my go to place to stay in Paris. I park at Paris Disney for 20 Euro, pay about 7 Euro 30 cents to take the train to the Charles de Gaulle stop (about a 45 min ride). Walk through exit 5 at Avenue Carnot, up the stairs and the Hotel is straight ahead on the right.
I just love the view of Arc de Triomphe from the room, perfect location, and clean rooms. Some rooms are quiet, some are really noisy. The metro is a 2 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Safe choice for business even though, again, the rooms are tiny.
Aside from location, practically everything else is wrong with this place. Pricey, minuscule rooms, dated, wifi out of order for 2 days, elevator broken, unfriendly, no privacy, noisy. These hotel owners live in the past and project the worst image of Paris. Stay away from it. You have been warned.
Tight room with a comfortable bed, small but big enough bath room, this was a very nice Paris hotel. The front desk was helpful, organizing an early taxi for us, and answering questions easily. They also found and held my fathers journal after we checked out and held it until we were able to come back and collect. We stayed here two nights around the final day of the Tour de France and the location is superb. One block from the metro, two from the Arc de Triomphe, there are restaurants and bars nearby, and a lovely breakfast available in the dining room. The room has a small fridge, mostly full of mini bar goods, but with enough room to hold a couple small bottles. The only complaint I would have about our stay was that the position of the wardrobe and the bathroom door made it difficult to get our bags in and out of the wardrobe.
This hotel is only one thing in it's favour,it's location. It's badly in need of a complete renovation and the staff need to "renovate" their attitude toward non French visitors! My room was very dusty and full of old and unnecessary furniture. The single rooms would be more spacious without the clunky, wooden wardrobes. The walls are very thin and I could hear noise for most of the night in adjoining bedrooms...they seem to allow French locals to check in very late in the evening thus, disturbing those already sleeping guests. The wallpaper was peeling off in one section and the fridge and telephone didn't appear to be operating. I paid far too much for this dump and to make maters worse the staff were unpolished and unprofessional.
Having been to Belfast (NI) in the 1970s I think I had a better time there than the Belfast Hotel in 2017. The Room was small as was the bed and bathroom. This is not what the reviews and photos indicated so part of my remit here is to address that. Didn’t eat at the hotel so I don’t know what breakfast is like. I do know the walls are thin and the fittings and decorations are dated. The location is very good which is why we went there and I find it puzzling that they throw away that advantage, it’s not as if it was a bargain price.
A good location, very near to the arc d' triumph. Very dated decor but very clean, spacious and friendly. In its day I can imagine it would have been quite grand. However the bathroom was immaculately clean and well equipped. The stairway was architecturally a masterpiece, spoilt only by the fussy carpet. That aside a good value for money Hotel
We had a nice stay here. It was in a great location, right near the arc de triomphe. It is out of the real hustle and bustle of Paris if you prefer to be slightly quieter. Lots of nice places to eat close by. The room was small but nice, comfy bed but the bathroom was tiny because we were right next to the lift which was also making a humming sound throughout the night (minor problems).
