So this hotel, was mediocre and then I broke my ankle coming down their tiny handicap ramp, which is about 1 foot wide, while leaving the hotel. Let me explain that this ramp had a free edge and no rail. Anyone, and I am in good shape, can easily lose their footing on this ramp and fall off. I was coming down with my suitcase to check out when this happened. The girl at the front desk came to see if I was ok but did not bother to write a report of any kind. I couldn’t go to the hospital in France because my flight was leaving in two hours and our taxi was outside. I had no choice but to fly back to Miami with a broken ankle. Needless to say this has been painful, stressful, and very inconvienent. The hotel didn’t even bother to reply to my two emails. When we checked in, our beds weren’t set up at 2 twin beds and were instead one “double bed”. When we told the guy at the front desk about the beds, he was annoyed and angry and told me, “why are you telling me so late”,as is I had control over their mistake. No one told us we had free breakfast until we checked out which would’ve been great to know bc we stayed there for 9 days! I’m including the picture of the the taxes that I paid when I checkled out showing the dates we were there. I am also including a photo from trip advisor that I assume they posted because these photos seem to all be taken by the same person. This is a picture of the elevator before they put in the ramp because as surprising as it sounds this hotel was even less handicap accessible than it is now. I put an arrow where the ramp is now. And finally I’m uploading my urgent care paperwork that says I have a fracture, and later found out that I have a ruptured ligament as well. So thanks for nothing 55 Montparnasse. You should look up the meaning of hospitality. Don’t give these people you’re hard earned money.
What a great find! It's literally across the road from Pertenety station, so great links to the metro lines. The pastry shop next door is truly amazing and the grocery shop opposite is great too. Sorry I digress, back to the hotel. The staff were helpful and patient they knew English and even were paying to reach us a little bit of French too. The room itself had the basics strong Wi-Fi, double bed which was very comfortable and the amenities were there too. The room temp was ok too but we also had access to an AC unit so we knew we could always use that. The room size itself wasn't large but as a base to drop off your bags and sleep it met our requirements. Would recommend this hotel for anybody who wants to travel into Paris on the cheap.
Stayed here for a getaway week with my boyfriend. We stayed here for 4 nights and yes, the rooms are a little on the small side but for the two of us, it was perfect. It was always clean and tidy - our beds were made for us coming back as we spent all day out exploring Paris. Lovely little bakery just on the corner too. Very friendly staff as well and had a lift which was great. Will definitely be back. Also loved that it was in the back streets of Paris - a great way to get the full culture. Just get off at Pernety metro station and you’re just 76 steps away (yes, I counted). Fabulous hotel at a great price.
We booked a superior room in this hotel for only one night as we went to Paris for a concert. The room was very spacious, as well as the bathroom, which is not always the case. We also had a very big bed, probably a queen size. Also, the room was quite clean. Last but not least, the room was very quiet, which is usually pretty hard to get in Paris. The staff was very friendly. Basically, this is a nice hotel but maybe refresh can be done.
Nice hotel, room and bathroom were very clean, all amenities you could ask for. Parking is very secure and cheap at €15 for 24 hours however it’s a 5 min walk on an adjacent street. Lobby is standard and left luggage is literally just leave your bag in reception where everyone sits.
At first glance, I was not pleased as I could smell cigarettes smoke in my room when I arrived. It turned out it was coming from the street level or through the HVAC vents. Management evicts people when they smoke in the hotel and so that made me happy. The room was small but great beds and lights and window to the street. Breakfast was included and was terrific with a lot of different foods to choose from. Breakfast room was very pretty and modern and cozy. Perfect for the metro Penerty. In fact, you can take the metro right to the airport with a one major change. Save yourself money as the cab cost 60-85E depending upon which cabbie you get. A few restaurants on the main street near the hotel, but nothing great.
Nice and relatively clean hotel, near by a metro station and at a walking distance from Gare de Montparnasse. Room are clean and cosy. Friendly front desk staff. On my stay, the only negative thing worth to mention is that, accidently, the clean staff disposed a plastic cup that contained a dental corrective prosthesis and although the front desk staff said they'd email me to clarify the situation, I never heard from them.
Whilst not an intimate & romantic hotel it is 50m away from the nearest metro station & a 10-15 min walk from Gare de Montparnasse with plenty of cafés & bars etc within spitting distance. Most importantly perhaps for a city, it was pretty quiet & we had a good nights' sleep (unusual for us in a major city). The receptionist was great also making a room available within 10 mins of our very early arrival.
A basic hotel which is located just beside pernety metro station & bus stop. Most of the attractions can be easily accessed by metro. Rooms are smaller but clean and well maintained. Check in time is at 1400hrs but they allowed us to check in at 1300hrs. Good Ac,hot water system,l worked nicely. We had a problem with the reservation, hotel authority adjusted that after mails and did not over charge. There are bakeries, fruit shops, groceries, take away restaurant around the hotel. Neighbourhood around the hotel is very nice. The young lady receptionist was very helpful & cooperative. She gave us some useful tips and direction to various places. We did not have bathtub stopper, after informing they fix it. Advice : A mini bar can be added in the room. Room service personnels need some training. When we were at the room a lady suddenly unlock the door and get inside which was irritating. One time use slippers and dental kit may be added too. They can readjust their check in time at 1200hrs.
Le 55 Montparnasse Hotel Paris: This Hotel is a out the way not in the Centre of Paris. But it is a very nice clean and safe hotel. It is just across the street from the metro station which is easy access to any place in Paris. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in the bathroom is very modern. During your stay in Paris the weather was very hot, but the air conditioning kelp our room nice and cool. The hotel staff is very friendly and very helpful. There are plenty of restaurants around including cafe’s and bakery and fresh fruit and vegetable markets. They have a good Continental breakfast buffet for 13 € which our friend had the breakfast and enjoyed . Instead paying 13€ for a family of three Went next door and bought fresh croissants and fruit across the street. For those who need laundry service. There is a nice self-service laundry mat down the street. We enjoyed staying here and probably will stay here again as it was well worth the stay .
