What a fantastic little hotel this is! Just returned from a girlie weekend away with my 8 year old daughter, whose dream has been to visit the Eiffel Tower. We were located about two streets away and the area close to the hotel is lovely. The next street along has a food market and lots of quaint restaurants (Rue de Cler). In order to check in you have to visit the Hotel Cadran (on the corner) and they give you a code for the door. Room was a decent size for the two of us, including sofa and tv. Free nespresso caps in room for machine in reception area downstairs and two complimentary bottles of water upon arrival. Very clean, spotless, modern room with a decent size bathroom. Room was warm enough during the evening and very quiet. Found the beds to be very comfortable. Staff very knowledgeable about local area. Wifi in room was fast without issues. Would highly recommend for location and price.
Pros- Great location. Close to Eiffel Tower and Les invalids. Plus restaurants and shops. Walking distance to pretty much everywhere. Easy to get to from airport. Close to public transport links. Beautiful room with lovely details. Comfy bed. Nice, modern decor. Spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff couldn't do enough for us. Helped with any questions we had. Able to book tickets for the Louvre through the hotel which was easy and fuss free. Great, fast WIFI in the room. Cons- Room was absolutely FREEZING. Beautiful windows but they let in a constant draft. Unable to change the thermostat. There was an extra duvet in the room but even with that on the bed, it was still really cold. Due to the windows letting in a draft, there was a constant smell of smoke (sometimes marijuana) in the room from the residents in the apartments behind us. Really off putting. Could really do with some blinds or nets on the windows. When we were in the room, the residents in the apartments facing our windows could see straight into the room. This meant we had to have the curtains closed in the room which wasn't ideal. Overall we enjoyed our stay but if we stayed again would prefer a different room.
This is a self service hotel as it is a add on building to the main hotel Caladron. The rooms are not centrally heated. At minus 3 degree centigrade of Paris winters one has to do with the split air conditioning. The bathrooms are not heated. So that's one more trouble area to go to from the bed in extreme cold of the night. Location is excellent. Great places to eat around.
We were away from main building in a separate block lift very small room clean but they squashed another bed in the room as we booked a triple and it was not as described in foto when the extra bed was down we couldn't move. No tea/coffee making facilities in room but coffee machine in foyer . Heating didn't work and it was freezing so they gave us a blow heater, staff were very helpful and the location is perfect for metro etc and very near champs Elyse would stay here again but not if triple room was like we had but ok for two of you price very reasonable for the location
Lovely little hotel in a fab location - 10 minute walk to Eiffel Tower. Room was perfect for 3 of us; water in room, coffee pods for machine in reception and plenty of toiletries provided. Breakfast over the road at the other hotel was lovely. Would definitely stay again.
Good location, just a few streets from Eiffel Tower (15 minute walk). Small boutique hotel, an extension to Hotel du Cadran where you check in and go for the breakfast in the morning. Looks very modern and new, clean, good sized rooms. Breakfast area just across the road is beautifully designed, cave looking. Good options at buffet like breakfast. Hotel provides Nespresso coffee pods along with sweeties in the lobby area, which is a nice treat before a long adventure in the city. There was two small bottles of water on the house in our room. Rooms well equipped, with toiletries etc. Warning, store room across at Hotel du Cadran, make sure you don't leave chocolates or anything that does not like heat as it get too hot in there. Some reception staff across the road could be a bit more friendly but all in all good stay, no problems.
This a lovely quaint hotel with charm and charater, good food & accommodation. Ideally placed near the Eiffel Tower and close by are the many other attractions Paris offers. A word of warning when walking around the streets of Paris becareful to watch out for dog mess!!!
This hotel an extension of Hotel du Cadran, just up the street. Check in takes place at Hotel du Cadran. This is small quiet hotel that looks to almost brand new. Our room was beautifully decorated and roomy for hotels in this area. It was equipped with a king bed (firm matress), a small desk and stool and a loveseat that pulls out into a bed. Closet space, safe and shelves as well. The bath was small be well designed and quite functional, reminiscent of those found on cruise ships. Both the room and the bath were very clean. Bathroom amenities were very nice and bottled water and coffee supplies were provided for a nespresso coffee maker in the street level lobby. We would definitely stay at this property again. It would be an ideal spot to sleep off some jet-lag, due to its quiet location, but a short walk to the Rue Cler neighbourhood with its cafes, shops and ambience.
Rue Cler is a wonderful place to stay in Paris. The neighborhood and shops are fantastic. The Valadon Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. It is very close to a metro station and a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.
Literally a 10-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and a 15-minute walk to Napoleon's Tomb at the Army Museum. Very close to metro station. Room was super clean with view of the Eiffel Tower out our window. The hotel check-in and breakfast is across the street. It seemed a little strange at first. The hotel gives you an access code to enter the rooms across the street That was not a problem. Elevator was quite small - made for two people and their luggage only. Bed was firm. Bathroom was quite unique with sink "bowl." Shower and no tub. Like many hotels, wifi service was adequate but not very fast. Plenty of sidewalk cafes within two blocks of the hotel. My son and I spent two weeks traveling seven countries in Europe. Valadon Colors added to our enjoyable and safe trip. I thought the room was a tad pricey - about $200 USD a night - but it was high season in Paris with great location.
