Hotel room a bit small with no drawers but, apart from that, it was clean with all comforts. Very nice breakfast; soft drinks and snacks available from 5 p.m. till late at night. the lady at the reception was very nice and the location is very convenient to go everywhere, using the underground and buses as well as from and to Charles de Gaulle Airport. When I go back to Paris I'll definately stay at Caumartin Opera Hotel again.
My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in March. Our room and bathroom were larger than expected and it was a pleasant surprise to be told we had been upgraded from the standard room we had booked. The beds were very comfortable and we had 3 good nights sleep. It was spotlessly clean apart from just outside the lift on the 1st floor where the carpet was a little stained. All staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but the icing on the cake (literally) was the buffet that was available all afternoon and evening. A wonderful selection of pastries, muffins etc and hot and cold drinks. This was so welcome after a day out sightseeing! You could also have this at any other of the Astotel hotels. The mini fridge in the room was stocked with water and juice daily. The location was perfect for us being close to metro and RER stations and within walking distance of many sights. There were some lovely shops and restaurants close by but particularly the Brasserie Paris Madeira. I would return without hesitation and some friends have already booked for April on our recommendation!
Nice and clean hotel in a good location. 5min walk from the famous Lafayette shop. We went on foot to the Louvre, Seine etc. All within 15mins. It isn’t smart by any means and a bit tired looking. Staff on reception desk were very helpful ! Had a small safe in our room, however this was not fixed to the wall!!!! Breakfast good for €10
It is a budget hotel placed in a noble area of Paris. Thus, like anywhere else under those conditions, you will find very small rooms, simple decoration and no special services. That being said, it is an excellent choice: perfect localization, nice staff, delicious breakfast, quiet and clean rooms. If you are looking for a balanced benefit/cost ratio, this seems to be the right place to stay.
Stayed at this hotel on 14-18 Nov 2017 whilst in Paris. The location is great, on the street lined with restaurants! Walking distance to G.Lafayette and Printemps etc, and the Opera Subway station. The room is a good size for twin sharing with en-suite bathroom, its clean and well maintained. The hotel provides breakfast with the room rate, and one can hop into any of their sister property to have drinks or snacks if need be. Front of house staff is friendly and helpful. Not a luxury kind of hotel but its really value for money for the location and most importantly it has a elevator! Will definitely chose this hotel for my next visit to Paris!
Charming staff! Charming location! Charming rooms! Charming breakfast! Charming desert! Charming chain of hotels! We could visit any hotel of this chain while booking in one them! Will visit again Caumartin or Astra next time in Paris!
I stayed at Hotel Caumarin Opera for 4 nights last week (December 2017). This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel (1st time was in September 2015). I chose to stay here again because I had very good experience 2 years ago. I'm very glad I made a decision to return. Familiar and friendly staff with good service. Apparently, the hotel has been undergoing some renovation since my last stay in 2015 (good job). I'm very grateful that I got to stay at the same room that I stayed 2 years ago. When I made the booking this time, I specifically requested to stay at the same room if possible. I'm very thankful that they did take my request into consideration. The room looked much nicer now with new wallpaper and carpet! I also like there is a refrigerator with complimentary drinks daily now!! (This is so wonderful and generous!!). I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again when I visit Paris next time. Highly recommend.
This hotel deserves a recommendation. Not a luxury hotel, but room was clean quiet and with an OK bathroom with all amenities. Rooms perhaps a bit boring. However, the location is perfect with walking distance to almost everything. 5 minutes walk from direct bus from airport. A few minutes to the big shopping areas and main streets. Lots of nice restaurants and bars. The breakfast was amazing and worth the price and is highly recommended.
Very good location, good hotel. Clean and well renovated. The staff is very nice. The manager is a very nice and responsive lady. Very comfortable place with the presence of amenities such as water and tea. The fruit salad at breakfast should be without sugar though.
Love this location and usually stay in another hotel but I wanted to try something different. Stayed here for one night in September 2017 with a friend. There was some construction going on in the lobby so it wasn't the best introduction to the hotel. Our room wasn't ready yet so they offered us some snacks - always available in the lounge. For a Paris hotel, the bathroom was HUGE so it was a nice surprise. The room was a good size too. Carpet was functional (ugh). Bed was comfy. All in all, it was a well-located hotel, good price with snacks/croissants,drinks, etc. always available. Would I stay here again? Probably not. There are a lot of other hotel options in the area.
