My family and I stayed at this hotel in our recent vacation to Paris. The place is beatiful and well kept, conveniently located, and the staff is very frendly and willing to serve. Our rooms were nicely decorated and equiped with nice features (safe, coffe maker, minibar, flat tv...), the breakfast restaurant is super cozy, and the food and beverages delicious. Also, all the major attractions and public transportation options of the city are within walking distance (nice bakeries and restaurants too!). This is our second time staying at this hotel, and I definetly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Paris.
A very interesting mix of pretty surroundings, perfectly smiling staff who are so friendly you will not want to leave. Exceptional service and want to book my return trip asap! Merci beaucoup to make my Paris trip one to remember x
Our family spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very charming and nicely decorated. Our rooms were small, but clean and had balconies that overlooked the street. The bathrooms were larger than I had expected, which was a nice surprise. The only complaint I would have is that the rooms get very warm and stuffy. We visited during the end of March, so the weather was cool. Fortunately our windows opened and that helped us air out the rooms when they became very warm. The location was wonderful, with tons of shopping nearby, one block from the Seine River, 2 blocks from Notre Dame, and about 1/2 mile from the Louvre. There is no shortage of restaurants to walk to, and we found a grocery store 2 blocks away for snacks. If I ever get the chance to visit Paris again, I would definitely stay in this hotel.
I recomend this hotel it's in quiet area and near to the metro station you can walk to shopping street and restaurants easily front desk staff was helpfull and friendly ,room is not too big but good enough and very clean there was a perfect fast wi-fi connection
The staff is really nice, the location is perfect, the rooms are small, the walls are paper thin, & the breakfast is over priced. The hotel was very cute and very much a bed and breakfast vibe in the lobby. The breakfast was too expensive for very few options. If you are a tourist and plan on spending long days visiting the city you might want to plan breakfast elsewhere. Take uber's to get around ..if you get a cab in this area they only like to take longer trips & get pretty angry when you are only going a mile or two. Most important pro -this place is very closed to Notre Dame & Sainte Chapelle. Great location. The walls are so so thin, would highly recommend traveling with a sleep sound machine.
Small and very charming hotel. Close to the Notre Dame and Louvre. Friendly staff. A lot of good restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhod. Metrostation and taxistation nearby. Nice and silent room with a fantastic bed.
Some things never change, and that’s a great thing! We just had our 10th stay at the hotel, February 18th - 24th. This time, we traveled with a couple who’d never stayed there before. Their recommendation of the hotel; “Why stay anywhere else?” As we expected, the staff was welcoming, pleasant and very helpful. We haven’t been here since May 2016 and it was nice to see some familiar reception desk faces everyday. We stayed in a room we’ve had before. Just as nice this time as previously. Love the bathroom toiletries they use and are refreshed daily, whether you’ve finished the ones already there or not. Morning breakfast buffet had freshly made fruit salad each morning along with a wonderful selection of cheeses, baguettes and rolls. I’m certain my brother-in-law misses the morning flaky pastries provided daily. I can only say that this small, charming Orel does it for us every time-ambience, cleanliness, value and location make the Britannique are favorite Paris home. A bientot!
We first noticed this hotel during our last visit to Paris two years ago, when we had rented an apartment on the same street. We had stopped in a few times to ask the front desk for advice about local transportation, and we were so impressed with the staff’s helpfulness that we decided to stay here on this most recent trip. We haven’t been disappointed. It’s a small boutique hotel in a great location. The street is normally very quiet, but the grand Théâtre Châtelet across the street is undergoing a major renovation, and although work ceases in the evening and on weekends there can be quite a bit of noise during the day. I was told the renovation started in 2016 and was expected to take two years, but it was still ongoing at the time of our visit. We stayed four nights in a “Classic King” room. It was a bit small, but it was thoughtfully organized and well designed with more than adequate storage space so we were very comfortable. The one weak spot is breakfast. The offerings are minimal and the breakfast room is cheerless. For the 13 Euros you would pay at the hotel a better option is the Paris Baguette Chatelet around the corner on Rue Jean Lantier.
The hotel Britannique is a real jewel in the heart of Paris, 8 minutes walk to the Louvre Museum, 10 to Notre Dame, and in a zone with tens of restaurants and bars. The housekeeping was spotless, the Continental Breakfast was more than adequate, and the staff very helpful and 100% bilingual (English-French). Rooms are small as are the bathrooms, but the bed was comfortable and big. A living room on the groud floor is charming and relaxing.
This Hotel is a great find and I will use it in future. The location is totally convenient to all the attractions that I like to visit. The decorations give it charm and character which was reflected in my comfortable room with a bright outlook over Paris. I was happy to pay a little extra for breakfast and it was most enjoyable. The staff were very helpful with ordering passes for me or helping with arrangements. A very pleasant stay!
