Just back from 4 nights at hotel - can’t fault it what so ever the staff were lovely and great with English and always there to help The hotel is going green which I feel good The rooms were lovely and clean, bed was comfy and nice bit of room to put clothes and hang them up and had both bath and shower with good pressure and nice heat as sometimes you find it very hard with hotel showers to actually work okay first time - the only thing I would say is there is a kettle but no cups for tea or coffee but I had read this in advance so brung my own I never used restaurant at all but the food in the bar looked lovely with toasties and cakes and snacks and stuff The transport to and from Disney is great every 10-15 minutes and so easy to pop out hotel and go up there you get up in 5 minutes and buses run late as we were always going to Disney village for a shop and something to eat and getting bus after 11ish
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Upon reading other reviews (sadly once I got back after the terrible stay) our air con was also not working. We had 2 small children, 1 in a travel cot and it was far too warm and barely any space to move. The room was not big enough but we put that aside given we were at the parks all day. Food was okay, just okay. Hash browns were amazing. Omelette was very bland. Hardly anything for kids or if trying to be healthy (they offered tinned fruit which wasn’t nice.) but the restaurant staff were lovely. On our last day we checked out as you do. We weren’t getting picked up till 6pm for our flight home. So after being at the parks all day we came back to the bar to feed our 4 month old daughter. We asked for hot water and told we would be charged for this. We didn’t agree, explained it was for a child but paid anyway due to the lack of compassion. Then my husband approached the reception to check. It was only €2 but it was the principal of A) staying there as a paid guest for 4 nights and B) water costs nothing and is a basic human right especially for babies! Reception approached the staff member who was very vocal, very rude and shouting at my husband. This happened in front of everyone in the reception, bar and our 2 children. Nothing of course happened to the rude staff member. We ended up changing our taxi and just spent the extra hours at the airport. I have never in my life written a review but I’ve not stopped thinking about our stay since we arrived home and sadly not in a positive way. If my review can prevent any other family, couple etc from having to go through a horrible stay then at least it’s not been for nothing. PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOU’RE TREATED WITH RESPECT AS A PAYIMG CUSTOMER.
Great location, friendly staff. Rooms and reception have all been recently refurbished. We had bunk beds and a double for the four of us. Could have done with some seats outside room but not a huge deal. This is our second visit and we would return. 10 mins walk to supermarket and various restaurants which makes a nice change. Restaurant in site overpriced and drinks only good price during happy hour!
This hotel is not cheap and yet you do not even get the basic things such as tea bags or coffee for free :( everything has a price literally! Also its dirty (as shown in the picture below) I REALLY hope that its not blood and also the bathtub is old and quite literally "chipping away!" Honestly, you are better off booking the b&b if you want to just go to Disneyland Paris like I am! Atleast you get breakfast for free!
We stayed at this hotel and found the staff very accomodating, helpful and spoke very good english. The food in the restaurant was OK but could have been a little hotter. The choice was outstanding as was the breakfast in the morning. We did not realise that the Breakfast is FREE! Getting to the hotel from the train station we arraived via Eurostar is really simple. The bus station is just opposite and you wait for a shuttle bus to the hotel Bus stop D. We of course didnt realise this and got a taxi which cost 15euros, but the shuttle runs all day to Disneyland. Another tip if you are only going for a couple of days, go online to get a MINI ticket into Disneyland it is half the price of the normal ticket and we found that we did both parks in 1 day!! The prices for food in the park is quite expensive but a good choice. Disneyland is no comparison to Disneyworld in Florida. The cleanliness of the Park was not very good, very tatty in places and most of the shrubs and trees had not been trimmed for quite a while. The Eurostar team were not as organised in France as they were in London. The trains I thought looked very dirty looking and hardly able to see out of the windows!!!
Room ok bathroom not ok. The bath is no word of a lie only big enough for a child, I'm not even tall and legs were hanging out the bath, unreal. This hotel is overpriced by a lot, the food is of poor quality and charged at prices like its more premium fare. There are no free perks like a regular hotel such as free coffee making stuff in your room even though there is a kettle in your room??? The vending machines don't work properly and again are way overpriced. The only saving grace for this hotel is the shuttle to the train station and Disneyland which of course is a great perk but not even that is worth another stay here.
My wife decided that it would be a great idea to go to Disneyland Paris - and do the half marathon. We have been to Disneyland Paris in the past, and I had a mixed view of the Disney hotels. I have always felt that they are poor value for money, and looking at the prices this year, that has not changed. We eventually booked the Campanile as part of an airline tickets and taxi package. Including the cost of the Disney tickets we had 3 full days in the park for slightly less than if we had had 2 full days with one of the budget Disney hotels. About the hotel itself, some of the reviews have been mixed. Our experience was fine. The room itself was OK - not the plushest, it matched the price paid. The breakfast buffet was included in our room rate, and it was perfectly acceptable (better than the one in Santa Fe - but that was many years ago). Something we really appreciated was that the buffet started early on the half marathon day. I can't comment on the evening buffet, as we only had breakfast at the hotel. The shuttle bus was, again, perfectly OK. It could be very busy, and it did go to the other hotels - but the journey to the station wasn't that long. One criticism is that it would be good to have some signage at the train station as to which stop the return bus goes from. Overall, unless I'm suddenly feeling a lot richer, if we return to Disneyland Paris - I would be happy to stay at the Campanile. It's a bit basic in places, but that's not a problem, as I imagine the typical stay is 2-3 days - and it is a base for Disneyland.
Check in was straight forward, really pleasant staff. Our room had plenty of space with bunk beds and very clean. only downside is they should provide tea and coffee and mugs at no extra charge, as I've never been anywhere that charges you for this. The breakfast here had a good choice and we enjoyed it. The farm animals and petting zoo is a great addition our little boy loved it. He also loved the bouncy castles great idea. The Disney shuttle was very efficient and regularly ran. A short 10 minute walk to a local supermarket was very handy. A great location and nice hotel would definitely stay again
Stayed here with a friend for a short getaway to Paris as it was a good deal, however food and drinks inside the hotel is a rip off! You pay €23 for a buffet that has a very limited selection. Most of the reception staff are not friendly at all and make you feel like you’re being a problem by asking simple questions and enquiries. Vending machines are a scam - I used card on the vending machines in reception as we had run out of change and wanted a drink, it said it didn’t authorise the transaction so we left with nothing from the machine and discovered when I got home it had taken out multiple transactions on my card! I also lost my jacket during a room change as we weren’t given what we asked for and therefore were allowed to change rooms, I enquired about it the next day to get it back saying I’d left my jacket in there and I was given a dodgy email to ask lost property which didn’t even work- when I asked again and said the email didn’t work I was turned away because it ‘wasn’t their problem’ and they didn’t really care. The only good thing to this was that the restaurant staff were really nice. Overall an unpleasant stay and wouldn’t recommend!
We stayed in a twin room on the ground floor of the hotel. When I booked the room it was still known as the Kyriad. The reception staff were great and very welcoming, they asked us if we would like to opt in to their eco cleaning service as we were staying for more than 2 nights, which we were happy to do and we got a free gift each for opting in. The room was lovely and clean, quite small but it had everything we needed for our stay. I had booked room and breakfast and I am glad I did, the selection at the buffet breakfast was great! There was so much choice, you could have pancakes, pastries, cereal, yoghurts, fruit and hot breakfast. We paid for dinner the first night as we did not know the area and preferred to stay in to get an early night too. The dinner was a little bit pricey at over 20 euros each but we weren't surprised with the price really with it being near Disney. The choice at the buffet dinner though made up for the price, we were spoilt with choice. Although to point out drinks are not included in the price. After dinner I went down to see the animals at the small farm they had, it was lovely, all the animals were in the small paddock for the evening so getting to see the llamas, ponies, goats and the donkey was lovely. Even though the hotel was undergoing refurbishment and there were painters in the corridor where our room was we never heard them and they were always very polite. I would say the only cons we had for this hotel was when we arrived at the train station from Paris to Disney and walked round to where the busses were, we looked for the free shuttle bus it was under the new name of Campanile which we were unaware of, but a quick call to the hotel to ask where the shuttle bus was and we were sorted. The reception did also apologise to us over the phone that we had not been contacted to inform us of the hotel name change. The other con was that as we were on the ground floor at the front of the hotel, on the first night we went to bed earlier than normal and we were woken by guests coming back from Disney at gone midnight being very loud as they walked past our room, but it was only that night as the nights from then we were getting in late ourselves from Disney. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back myself if I was returning to Disney.
