Short review: Service was good, but the room was tired. Full review: We stayed here in mid May and were warned that there are refurbishments taking place during the day. Not a problem for us, and we are given a voucher for 4 free non-alcoholic cocktails - nice. Redeeming this at the bar though, I am handed a small cup of what appears to be apricot/pineapple juice, which isn't particularly impressive. On to the room (111), and after being in the bathroom for 5 seconds, the light (activated by a sensor) goes out. A call to reception, Victor is sent to help us move, and we are moved to a different room down the hallway, where the light only goes off every 5 minutes or so. I just need to wave a couple of times while showering to keep the light on. The next day we find two bottles of water in our room as an apology. The first room we were assigned had a cracked sink, while the second had quite a lot of black mold around the shower. The ground floor and reception area were lovely, it is just a shame this did not extend to the halls upstairs or rooms. Hopefully once refurbishments are complete, this will be a great hotel, as the location is good and staff were helpful and friendly.
The hotel is very clean and modern yet eclectic and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a short walk away from the RER A station (opposite the hotel) which connects you straight to Disneyland Paris or the heart of Paris. Alternatively the hotel is also served by the free shuttles that go direct to Disneyland Paris. Plenty of conveniences in the immediate vicinity, such as a supermarket, pharmacies, coffee shops and food outlets as well as a nearby shopping mall. Before talking about the room. full disclosure: I was lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the newly renovated rooms on the 4th floor of hotel (the 3rd floor is currently being renovated now, with the 2nd and 1st floors to come by the end of the year) free of charge. The new rooms are very modern with air conditioning, touch and motion controlled lighting, a bathroom equipped with shower, sizeable bath tub, toilet and a touch controlled mirror with make-up/shaving lighting settings. The room also contained a safe, fridge, kettle (with selection of teas) and a Nespresso machine with a selection of capsules. There was also a TV (selection of channels, mostly in French but some other ones such as BBC World News, CNBC, some German and Russian news channels). Bed was very comfortable, with a choice of soft or hard pillows, mattress had a bit of sink to it, but not too much and wasn't too rigid either. Slept well, very little noise to be heard from the room and the outside world. There were also bottles of still and sparkling water in the room as well, not sure if they were complimentary or get billed (been caught out by this in other hotels so I tend to just leave those alone). If you're looking for an good value off-site hotel for a short Disneyland Paris trip I really have no hesitation in recommending the l'Elysee. I'll be definitely be staying again on future short trips!
If you want a chic boutique style hotel that's stress free with no queues for reception, breakfast etc with exceptional customer service then this is the hotel for you. I spent months reading reviews of Disney resort hotels and this hotel and definitely made the right decision. Less than 20 steps away from the RER railway station (which is very easy from CDG airport and cost 52 Euros for 2 adults & 2 children), extremely large shopping mall and bus stop for Disney Park. Location is spot on. I believe only floors 1,2 and 3 are yet to be refurbished however the rooms are still fine. We upgraded to the Executive room for a small fee which hadn't been refurbished however this was not a problem. Lots of extra space in this room, well worth the upgrade. Dressing gowns, slippers, fridge, safe, hairdryer, lots of towels, shower gel and soap. Never saw any builders as work is carried out 10-7pm each day when most people are out and about. Reception toilets are super funky too! Breakfast has far more options than anyone could imagine or need. Shopping mall across the road is well worth a visit with far too many fantastic shops, massive supermarket, large food hall on upper floor at very end. The hotel's own restaurant George's is also worth a visit, lovely food. Don't forget to stop by at the bar for Happy Hour, 4-7pm from memory! Disney park is 10 minutes on the bus. This hotel is the first stop so you always get a seat. If I ever return to Disney then this would be my hotel choice without a doubt. I am rather fussy and have high expectations when it comes to hotels and customer service and these cannot be faulted. Everything is relaxing and stress free. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay, thanks Hotel E'lysee! Have added a few photos in and around the hotel.
You certainly get the 'wow' factor as you enter the hotel lobby, Very eclectic. Warm welcome from the reception team too! Rooms (on first floor) haven't yet been refurbished, but are perfectly adequate, are clean, and have every thing you need. Location is great, RER over the road, and the (free) number 50 bus to Disney opposite the front door. small supermarket round the corner, great coffee shop over the road too Overall much better value than Disney hotels, and probably nearer and easier than some of the onsite 'partner' hotels (Kyriad Etc.) especially if you time the RER correctly. Check out the 'disco lights' in the lobby restrooms !
Had a lovely stay. The room was comfortable and roomy. Staff were welcoming and friendly, helpful in answering all queries. Free shuttle to Disney was perfect for our trip. In addition as doing so works we were offered free non-alcholic cocktails which was a lovely gesture. Only thing that let it down was the breakfast quite pricey at 10 euros and average cooking. But everything else perfect.
The hotel is in a great location that isn't a hustling and bustling city all of the time. It was right across the street from a shopping center, which was nice. Inside the shopping center there was a supermarket, which was nice to buy some things there rather than pack them. All of the staff my friend and I interacted with spoke English and were extremely friendly and helpful. Since we arrived at the hotel at noon, the front desk stored our luggage and it was waiting in our room for us once we were able to check in, which was very nice. We stayed in a double bed room, and it was very clean and pretty spacious. The room was so clean and tidy, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day cleaning the room. The bathroom was very nice as well. However, the lights in the bathroom were motion censored and would turn off pretty quickly, which was inconvenient if you were in the shower, so we turned the switch on the panel above the door so that the lights would always stay on. There was a safe included in the room, and free WiFi as well. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were perfect as well. All of their rooms were non-smoking. The free shuttle to Disneyland Paris ran on a timetable, so make sure you take a look at the times if you are planning on using it. The shuttle was prompt and left at the times it says on the timetable. We were glad we stayed outside of the city of Paris, but it was easy to get into the city because the RER station was just around the corner from the hotel. There were plenty of other places to eat just a short walk from the hotel as well. I highly recommend this place for anyone planning a trip here!
This was the second hotel on our France tour and we chose it due to it location and we were right to. The location is perfect, across the road there is the Val D'Europe shopping centre, which is huge! Then around the corner is the train station, which has a train that can take you right into Paris. Lastly, the hotel provides a free shuttle to Disneyland. What more could we have asked for in regards to location?! The lobby is itself is modern and inviting, as it has been recently renovated I should hope so. The lobby toilets even have disco balls in them. Unfortunately, the room itself was a let down. Please bear in mind that as I am writing this the hotel is currently renovation which may render this part of my review a pointless. In which case, please disregard and miss this part out. The reasons why the room was disappointing - the beds were hard, and this isn't a preference thing, it was like laying on a plank of wood. My partner complained about this and they changed the beds, but they didn't improve in any way. The shower - it was an over the bath shower (not a bad thing) but the bath itself didn't have a flat base. What this meant was that when you stood in the bath to have a shower, your feet were at a constant curved angle - not very comfortable. In fact, my partner (who has size 14 feet) found it that uncomfortable that he couldn't use the shower ever again (don't worry it wasn't a long stay). The second problem with the shower was that it went from very hot to very cold to very hot all throughout without even touching the temperature gauge. Another issue with the room was the lighting, don't expect to find anything in there without your phone torch. I sincerely hope they are putting in better lighting during the renovation. Give up all hopes of wanting to apply any makeup whilst in the room. There is a handy mirror in the bathroom with a hairdryer but there isn't a shelf with this mirror to place your makeup bag. Now, with all of the above taken into consideration we were not once disturbed by noise. Although they were renovating we didn't here a thing. There was no noise from the road, no noise from the bar and no noise from the train station. We had the hotel breakfast for every morning and it was very good. They had hot food, pastries, cereal (with Soya milk), yogurts, fruit etc. We also had our dinner there one evening and the steak was delicious, the Chunky Vegetable and Soy Milk Tagliatelle was not. The bar was stylish and had a selection of beverages (not a very wide selection) and the Champagne was very nice. The only drawback I found was that they played football on a big projection screen. Not very nice if you want a quiet drink after a long day of sightseeing. Totally off putting - we only managed to go to the bar once because of this which was a real shame. Overall, we would definitely return to this hotel - only after the renovation.
An old hotel which hasn't been renovated for a long time. Although has a descent breakfast the rooms have very old furniture and they smell badly. The only advantage it has is the location to the center and the shops
The hotel is located in an excellent area, so close to Euro Disney and provides you free suttle bus from hotel to Euro Disney. Also is very easy to access from Paris Gare Du Nord train station. Our room was spacious and very clean. After a wonderful day spending in Disney land a surpising was waiting me at the room from the hotel manager, a voucher to spend in the nearest outlet shops. Definetely we will come back.
Not impressed by services. No water for three hours. No fridge in the room. Room service never bordered to clean the toilet. Only benefit was bus shuttle service and located very close to shopping centre and train station of Valley De Europe.
