We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Adagio. Overall Fantastic value for money. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready, not a problem as we were a bit early anyway.. the receptionist was lovely and allowed us to store our luggage and gave us lots of information about the local area. Val d Europe itself looks like a new town.. very clean and has a huge shopping centre a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The shopping centre has an array of shops and places to eat and even has the good old British favourite Primark!!. It has a massive supermarket selling just about everything and is very reasonably priced. There is also a designer outlet across from it too. When we got our keys we were issued a ground floor room. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. It wasn’t huge but it was bigger and more comfier than holiday chalets I have stayed in in the U.K.. if I was to be critical the only thing missing was an oven.. but we were fine with that and used the hob and microwave although being British I did miss my toast but the buttery croissants were an excellent replacement. The room has a bathroom and separate toilet which is handy when someone is having a shower and your 6yr old needs to pee!!. It has a TV but has limited English speaking channels but it didn’t bother us we were out most of the time and if I had wanted to watch telly I would have stayed at home. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to the Disney parks and if you were up to it it was about a 20 min walk.. yes it’s that close to Disney!!.. If you stay for the fireworks the shuttle gets very busy and you risk life and limb getting onto it!! Not the hotels faults as it’s shared by 2 other hotels. The day we left we had a late flight and again staff kindly stored our luggage and we had a wander round town. The RER to Paris is a 10min walk. Would we stay again? Absolutely!! And I will be recommending Adagio to family and friends. Brilliant stay and made our Disney holiday that little bit more magical. Last few things the hotel has a pool that our Wee one loved and a small kids play area. They do supply breakfast at a supplement but we ate in our rooms having had a wee fussy madam with us.. there are loads of vending machines and the staff are a credit to the hotel. Book this hotel for Disney trust me you won’t be disappointed.
This is the second time in successive years that we have stayed at this hotel and found it to be just as solid and value-for-money as always. We had room 201 ( next to where you dispose of your trash ) for a room for five. First of all, the location is superb. You have access to the huge shopping mall within a very comfortable five minute walk and, from here, you can use the supermarket ' Auchan ' to purchase your food and grocery supplies. You can also pick up varieties of Halal meat and various spices and seasonings from ' Auchan '. Also, there is a vast range of shopping to be had here and in the mall. The hotel lays on a frequent free shuttle to and from the Disney theme parks - the journey lasts about 5-10 minutes but can be very crowded at peak times. If you're staying for the end of day Illuminations at Disney, the free shuttle will be hugely packed and you may find it very uncomfortable waiting for the bus ( and using it ) amongst hordes of people waiting for the same free shuttle. In view of this, an option may be to book a cab/ minibus to collect you. We used ' Verycab ' ( Mr Aziz and/or Mr Nabil on 0674468211 / 0612717350 ) and were charged 20 Euros for nine people to be dropped off at our hotel. It made the trip back very very comfortable and convenient - especially given the younger kids being tired and cold. Also, the train station is close by, so you can use this to travel to central Paris ( CDG Etoile - for arrival at Arc de Triomphe ) at a very reasonable price ( approx 7 Euros one way, per adult ). The swimming pool was lovely and warm and the kids made use of this - as well as the small play area near Reception. Check in was very easy and smooth, the Reception staff being very professional and efficient. There is a luggage room for early arrivals to drop off bags prior to check-in. If you don't fancy cooking in your apartment, you will be able to pick up food menus for local Takeaways in the hotel lobby, and have food delivered to your room. Again, Halal options are available. We ordered a family-size Halal Chicken Pizza from Palazzo Pizzas for 20 Euros and five of us ( three adults and two kids ) didn't manage to finish it in one sitting. The WI-Fi in the rooms can be slow and unresponsive at times and the beds can make for a somewhat uncomfortable night's sleep - particularly the roll-out beds. Our room had an easy to use safe. To use as a base for exploring on a budget, however, this hotel was absolutely ideal for us. We used it simply for cooking ( using electric hobs and no oven ), eating, washing and sleeping. The rest of the time was spent away - making the most of the holiday. If this is what you are looking for, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
While we spent more time exploring Paris than staying here, a small room had fit 5 of us comfortably every night as we came back dead on our feet, tired. A bit small at times, but great for the money none the less! The service at the front desk was phenomenal whenever we needed something, and there was always a very good English speaker ready to help, being as our French was not the greatest at the time. Overall, the place was located in a very nice setting and everything was clean and well taken care of.
We used the Adagio as a base for 4 nights while visiting the Disneyland parks. At just over £400 for a family of 5 this was a massive saving on the price of the Disney hotels. The apartments are less than a 10 minute free shuttle bus ride to the parks. The shuttle bus was very regular and reliable although very busy. Val d’Europe shopping centre with food court and supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. We used the supermarket for breakfast and packed lunch supplies to save money on eating out at the parks every day. The apartments, themselves are very basic. Decor is quite dated. Toilet was separate from wash basin and shower, with no window, it appeared clean but smelled of stale urine. Kitchen lacked an oven, kettle (there was a coffee maker) and toaster. But overall the apartment was clean, spacious enough and we were able to make breakfast and packed lunches with what we were equipped with. The apartments were very quiet (we were on the bottom floor) and we all slept well after busy days at the parks. Staff were friendly when checking in and out but otherwise we were left to our own devices which suited us. House keeping didn’t visit our apartment in the 4 nights we were there so towels weren’t changed so you may want to take your own or I’m sure if you asked for fresh ones, it wouldn’t be a problem. We also tidied up after ourselves and made our own beds, again not a problem for us. We didn’t use the pool although it did look nice, especially at night and a lot of guests did use it. The hotel would definitely benefit from a bar as would be nice to have the option to have a night cap after a busy day. There were vending machines that provided some essentials, snacks, tea and coffee. In conclusion, we were happy with our stay at Adagio and would use again for the same purpose.
The hotel is ok, location is great close to a huge shopping centre with lots of places to eat, on our arrival we where advise of how to get to disney land and given the location of the bus stop which was really close to the hotel and the number of the free shuttle bus, this was fine until the third day, we got on to the bus and 5 minutes into the journey the bus stopped and 3 very intimidating men got onto the bus askimg to see tickets, we said that we where going to Disney and we where told yhat this was not a free bus and asked to get off with them. Once off the bus the bus pulled away and we where stood with the 3 men who asked to see our passports and took them off us, we tried to explain that this was the information we where given by the hotel and he used google translate to inform us that there are 2 busses with the same number one of which is free and the other you need to pay 2 euros per person (we would have happily paid if we had the correct advice) by this point both of our children where very upset and frightened, he said we would be fined 50 euros per person but he was going to be nice and only charge the adults 35 euros each ! He placed one of our passports in his pocket and filled out some paper work and asked for the money which we had no choice but to give him. And gave us only 3 passports back, we had to ask for him to take the fourth passport out of his pocket and return it to us. We where then left at the bus stop in an unknown place feeling intimidated, angry and upset and told to wait for the next bus. The reception staff need to be clear on this when advising tourists that there are 2 busses which are the same and have the same number to save other families the upset, the lady on reception gave us the time table amd told us the number but did not mention the fact that there are 2 busses, fortunately we had cash to pay the fines but for some families on a tight budget it could ruin their holiday compleetly which in my opinion is the responsibility of the hotel to make people aware of.
We stayed 5 nights and it was a convenient base to stay for Disneyland. The free shuttle buses worked well. We’d planned to make dinners for ourselves to allow the children early nights but in reality this didn’t happen so was probably not the best option. It did allow the children to have a room of their own but the noise was pretty bad with the door to the outside corridor squeaking all night long so the benefits of this were short lived. My real disappointment was the cleanliness of the 2 bathrooms, they absolutely stank of stale urine and were particularly unpleasant, even our 5 yr old noted how much they smelt. A real basic that isn’t difficult to get right. We were also concerned that the door to the apartment could be opened by our 2yr old. The children’s bedroom being on the same floor as the door and our bedroom upstairs so not so difficult for the children to walk out onto a balcony on the 3rd floor, be locked out and for us to be unaware! Breakfast was basic but good and the staff very friendly. The toilets downstairs were very clean, such a shame this standard wasn’t extended to the apartments. Overall, a convenient base for children to calm down from the Disney hype but, to be honest, if I came again I’d choose a Disney hotel if I could afford it!
This was my second trip to this hotel. I was travelling as part of a group 4 adults and 3 children on a trip to disneyland. Superb location with easy access and free shuttle bus to the parks and the disney village. Also just around the corner is the amazing shopping mall val d europe which also has an aquarium and fantastic shopping. The hotel itself is a little dated and the apartments are very basic. However we were purely there to sleep only so it suited us fine. There is an indoor swimming pool which was handy in the evening for the kids. The biggest downside for us was the lack of a bar or any food served at the hotel (except breakfast). It would be nice to be able to go down and have a drink in the evening without leaving the hotel. The staff seemed pleasant, and if we were to visit disneyland again we wouldnt have any problems staying at this hotel again because it is good value for money.
The 1 bed apartments themselves are adequate but proved a little too small for our family of 5. The complex itself is well placed for Disneyland Paris and a free shuttle bus takes you there in 10 mins. However It. got too hot at night and there was no AC, so we had to leave the windows open. On the second night as we were sleeping, my wife awoke at 3am to find a man peaking into our bedroom. As I got up to challenge him, he pulled out his security guard pass and started telling us off for having the window open. However a security guard shouldn’t be opening a curtain and looking through an open window at someone’s bed at 3am in the morning.
When I made the reservation the money was taken from my bank account instantaneously and on their website it said that I had no reservation. I called customer services and they told me that I hadn't make any reservation, that it was impossible that the money was taken from my account and that I should call the hotel directly. The lady from the reception told me to call customer services again on Monday, it was Saturday. I was afraid my money was gone, nobody cared about that or answered the email I sent to the customer services. Luckily I received the email with the reservation a few hours after and didn't lost my money but it was nerve racking. The location is very good, near Eurodisney and Val d'Europe Shopping Center. First they started by giving me an apartment with no double bed but with bunk beds for a couple and by asking if I wanted breakfast when I had already pay for it, they asked me for the receipt to prove that, so take your receipt if you go there so you don't have problems. They exchanged my apartment for one with double bed when I complained. They don't have enough staff for breakfast so you have to wait a long time to enter the breakfast zone because you are not supposed to enter without giving your apartment number at the door and you have to wait for some staff to come to you. Sometimes they ask for your apartment number again inside because they are not organised. The breakfast choices are very poor, the best is the coffee machine and sometimes you have to wait more than 5 minutes to wait on the line to get your coffee. The mattresses, sheets and pillows were comfortable and clean but the apartment was dirty, the floor wasn't well vacuumed, a lot of webs and dust everywhere, mold on the windows and in the bathroom, small cockroaches on the kitchen area and bathroom. The balcony was very dirty. The flusher wasn't properly installed so it was always sending water out, even after they went there to fix it. The good thing was that I only was there to sleep and I was out all day, so I would get there so tired I didn't even thought much about this problems and enjoyed Paris and Eurodisney.
We arrived home last night following a 4 night stay here (family of 2 adults 3 kids). We were on a trip to Disneyland. The location is fantastic with a huge shopping centre including supermarket just round the corner. Facilities in the apartment were great for us to make breakfast and lunch then dinner out. The big let down was the toliet in the apartment, it stank and was not clean! As soon as you entered the front door the smell hit you! It obviously hadnt had a good clean in a long time and the floor was sticky....disgusting! It would make me think twice about staying here again although the location and facilities in the room were just what was needed.
