We stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights in June 2017. Took the Eurostar from London then a taxi to the hotel. Taxi cost 20 euros to hotel. Location is very convenient to the Eiffel Tower and there are quite a few cafes nearby. We had a room on the 3rd floor. The room was old, small with a small bed. The bathroom was surprisingly large and renovated. Overall it was clean and had a/c. You could see the Eiffel Tower at night from the room. We chose this hotel for the proximity to the Eiffel Tower and enjoyed going up to the top and seeing the magnificent views. We also walked the next day from the hotel to the Arc de Triumph and then down the Champs Elysees to the Louvre. We ate at the cafes near the hotel and enjoyed good food and service. The staff spoke English and overall the hotel met our needs for our short visit.
I stayed in the Best Western au trocadero middle of May 2017... Great Location..I also want to state that the hotel staff was very good. Very knowledgeable.. English was spoken... The rooms, although quite small (but for Paris its expected) were quite efficient.. NIcely decorated... It has everything you need except for 2 things..... Updated security features and AC... Fist off, I was surprised there is no lobby... The reception desk is 10 steps from the front door.. So is the elevator to the guest rooms.. I was surprised to see that you dont need a room card to access floors.. Since its so close to the front door, I thought it strange.. There is also no deadbolt on the room door, nor any type of second lock.. So for a solo traveller, it made me a little uneasy... The other issue for me was no AC.. We had 3 really hot days in paris.. I was told they dont turn it on till june, but i find that hard to believe, considering its HVAC,,, all one unit.. So if you have a room in the interior it must have been sweltering.. My room was... After a long day of sightseeing and shopping you want a nice cool room to relax and sleep in... I was told by the desk, :just open the windows."... Really ?? You expect a woman to sleep with the windows open all night ?? wrong !! not a safe idea... So if it was freezing ?? No heat either ??... It was a short stay so thankfully didnt ruin too much, But if it was a longer stay I would have been quite annoyed.. The Wi fi was also down for whole day. Not a deal breaker but annoying..So overall it was a good stay..Could have been great.. Dont know if i would stay there again due to the lack of updated security features...
Dreadful room, tiny with poor amenities. Bathroom impossible to move, poor air conditioning, minibar did not work. Tiny hanging space for clothes. Awful breakfast and intermittently working internet. Only on English TV channel, and unable to view the screen as it was at a weird angle on the wall. Minibar only replaced only replaced once in three days. Keys always losing their memory needing to be reprogrammed frequently. Suitable for tourists/groups with low expectations, definitely not for business travellers and would not stay again.
Hey there, If you are looking at enjoying Paris but don't want to be right in the middle of the city this is a great choice. At the end of the street there are 3 lovely restaurants/cafes with the perfunctory sidewalk tables. Ahead of that is the beautiful Museum of Architecture and Monuments. Then you look around the corner of that building and you see the Trocadero Gardens, the Eiffel Towers and down the Champs de Mars. Great position for walking the city. There is a very close Metro station. The hotel is small as most are and the continental breakfast is a good way to start your day. When I checked in the 2 gentlemen working the desk were very helpful and knowledgable.
Great hotel located very close to the Eiffel Tower with awesome views of the tower itself. Hotel is well maintained and very very clean throughout. Room was very nice and spotless and just perfect for a short stay in Paris for a couple of nights. Free wifi offered throughout the hotel which works very well. Staff are very friendly and pleasant. Hotel is located in nice safe street with Metro is located just outside the hotel so easy access to the whole of Paris. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris.
This hotel was a perfect location for visiting Paris. The Eiffel Tower is right there along with shops and cafes. The tricameral bus stop is literally next door. We took the bus from the airport and it was easy because we had big luggage. It was a very convenient place. Staff was friendly, and I forgot my electricity converter, they have them at the front desk for you with a deposit. Fair warning, the rooms are tiny, not a big deal for us but could cause issues for tall or bigger people. Would stay here again for sure.
This hotel has an awesome view from room 32 I believe. The room itself was very clean and I loved it. The location is exceptional! I was able to look out of my window and had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The price for a double bed was nothing for the view. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. The people were lovely and very attentive. I did not eat their breakfast, but it looked lovely. I wanted to go out and eat for breakfast, nothing against hotel at all! I will stay there again; I already have planes to go back.
Last minute booking on the day of the arrival can get you awesome rate sometimes. Location of this hotel is just perfect, i was lucky to get a room on such a short notice. Room was an ok size, clean, with free wifi and complementary coffee and tea. All necessary toiletries were provided. Bathroom clean, with heated towels. There was no view, two windows in my room overlooked a wall but it didn't matter, I stayed only a short time. Lady at the reception was very kind. I didnt take breakfast as it was 16€ or so. One can have a coffee and a croissant outside for few euros.
First for business then for an extended holiday, I stayed here with my husband for five nights and had an amazing time. If the Eiffel is the driving force for your trip to Paris, then the Trocadéro circle will be a good place to stay. And The Best Western Au trocadéro is probably the best bet when it comes to location. The metro station is 10 metres from the hotel, with options of the bus nearby aswell. If u ask for a room with a view (the 4&5th floors) you'l probably get the view of the eiffel. And can clock the hourly twinkling of the tower lights. Eventhough rooms are small (which is the case for most places in europe) the bathrooms are spacious and well equipped including heating rods for wet clothes. Clean white linen on the bed and black and white photographs of the city adorn the walls in a neat fashion. The staff is very friendly and helpful- always giving you a ready grin (which may not be the case in paris)! They also have a good spread for breakfast and busy and famous cafes around the hotel.
Did a 2 night stay at BWAT and am very impressed by the location, cleanliness of the room and the friendly staff! Room is clean and spacious enough for 2 pax to move around. Clean and comfy bedding and there is room service to make our bed and fresh change of towels. Great location - just opp the trocadero metro which can be easily accessible to major attractions. Special mention to the staff - Jean helped us with directions and also arranged a shuttle service for us as we move out of paris city. Plus point that most of them spoke english too. Highly recommended and will def return!
