Great value. Good location as I was going to a conference at La Sorbonne (1 subway stop). The internet was very poor. This was an issue for me as I had zoom meetings and other phone meetings that were canceled because of technical issues. The room was clean and well equipped. The employees were very friendly and helpful even if they could not help with the internet. I did not get the breakfast. I would go back because of the price and location but would manage to have my meetings in another location...

Convenient and nice hotel next to Austerlitz train station
This hotel has nice photos online about the rooms, but that is not what was I found. I agreed to pay more for this hotel, and looked like it would be a better quality hotel for a nice stay in Paris. Ok, it is Paris, and it was across the street from a train station and Metro stop, but it is still not worth the cost. The room was remarkably small, barely larger than the double bed. The room seemed unfinished, lacking paint in places on walls, no moldings, rough edges to the carpeting. In the hallway there were bare bulbs hanging from the walls and ceilings. There are many better places to stay for less money in Paris, give this place a skip.
I'm an American girl that stayed at this hotel recently with limited knowledge of French. I greatly appreciated the friendly and patient staff. They made me feel comfortable and at home during my stay. My room was much bigger than I expected for a small hotel in the city. It had a large bed with a warm comforter, a decent sized closet, a desk, and a nice bathroom. The shower was a little tight but since it was just me, I didn't mind it. Water pressure was strong, water was always nice and hot, and the room had a heater/air conditioner. The location of the hotel is what really sold me. It's on a street with many restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and a subway station just a short walk away. I always felt safe, even at night walking home by myself. Personally I enjoy walking while exploring a new city, so for me all the big sights were walking distance away. If I didn't feel like walking, I'd just take that short walk to the station and take a train. However, a small negative is that the walls of this hotel were very thin, and you can hear the slightest noise from the rooms down the hall. The only thing that concerned me was that coming to my room one night after housekeeping, my door was left slightly ajar. Luckily nothing was stolen and there was no one waiting for me inside, but I didn't feel comfortable having housekeeping come in after that. Overall, I had a very lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone traveling alone, whether on business or vacation.

Dear Douglas, We are sorry you were disappointed about your stay. We have renovated two floor recently. It takes some time to finish details : for example, the carpet was laid but during your stay the skirting boards remained to be laid. It was done shortly after and was the only thing missing in your new room. Also, the bulbs remained apparent in the staircase two days as the electricians had to take the previous ones, then prepare the electric set up for the new devices. It is standard maintenance and upgrading.
