Fantastic clean room. Helpful staff and a fabulous breakfast. Super location also. Can not fault at all. Parking was a little confusing and is housed at a nearby hotel however this caused us no inconvenience at all. We will 100% stay here again when we re-visit Paris!
Was talked into staying here through our flight agent. Said great for families. Being our 1st overseas family holiday we thought great! Found out there were no connecting rooms so requested rooms next to each other. Arrived to hotel, serviced by a slightly rude man at reception who informed us that no such information was passed onto them and our 2 teen daughters were rooming 2 floors above us! Not happy. Girls had to barricade their door as only way they felt safe.Lift is puny, basically fits either 2 exceptionally skinny people and maybe 1 bag or 1 large person and a small bag. Beds were uncomfortable. Tiny storage cupboard so spent most of the time tripping over one of our suitcases. Bar fridge supplied yet we were not allowed food in the room? Poky size room, my husband was too big for the bed.Expected a double and got twins beds instead. Bathroom may have been renovated but the shower design was dreadful. Every time the water run out onto the floor and become a slip hazard so had to use one of our towels to put on the floor. Room had an odour about it. Not sure why but sometimes smelt like sewerage or rotten vegetables. Despite us putting a "Do not disturb" sign on the door, our room was entered on a daily visit which was against our wishes. Buffet breakfast was offered however the 1st morning we went down to the dingy looking room with a pathetic selection of food and dirty dishwasher type coffee. After looking at the choices we quickly vacated and found a bakery nearby. One thing, very convenient to the location in walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and retail areas. Also we were advised that we had arrived a day late and wanted to charge us for another night however as we pointed out, the itinerary clearly stated our dates of travel. Would never consider staying here again.
The location is great. Near Metro Station, walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, across the street from Cafe Michel, near Sunday Market. The furniture was a little shabby but the room had a refrigerator, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a shuttle van to the airport for $28 Euros.
Stayed here for a weekend visit to Paris. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the nearest subway (2 mins to dupliex), effiel tower (10-15 mins walk). There are bunch of restaurants that open late around this hotel. On the morning of Sunday, there was a big crowd and the girl was working on her own so was struggling to bring out the foods and drinks in time. The elevator was not working around the check out and could have been worse if i had a big luggage. This hotel is good if you want to spend most of the time in city visiting places and just want to rest and have a okay breakfast.
We stayed four nights - getting to the hotel from the Gard du Nord was easy via two metro rides. The hotel was also very close to the metro station that we alighted from. The hotel is in a great location within 10 minutes walking of the Eiffel Tower. Our room was small, very clean and tidy with its own shower and toilet. The room was comfortable and a good temperature. The biggest disappointment for us was how the breakfast service got worse as our stay progressed! Two things stood out for improvement - on day one there were flavoured yoghurts on day two and three only natural yoghurts and on day four only one natural yoghurt in the cool cabinet. Similarly on day 1 there were jams, honey and Nutella spread available for croissants etc by day 4 there was only Honey and Nutella. I didn’t get a feeling that anyone in charge was checking what was available.
Average 3 star hotel. location was key. train station was 2 min walk. 15 min walking to Eifel Tower. 15-20 by train to Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, and most other attractions. Simple Breakfast included, Coffee, espresso, croissants, OJ, tea. My wife and I preferred to eat at one of the many local restaurantts with more choices and better food. very nice neighborhood. Seemed safe to me. I didn't feel threatened. Price was a but steep for the room, but I didn't know it was fashion week and the Ryder Golf classic was in town. Room very small, about half the size of a normal hotel room in the U.S. Bathroom also very small and not sure if it's normal in Paris to have an open shower, but only half of the shower was enclosed with glass. other half open, which means the floor will get wet. no way around this. if you're checking in late, contact hotel, because they leave by 10. although the lobby doors remain open. like I said if location is important, it's great. however, it's a basic hotel, not what we're used to in the U.S. Tip, if you don't speak French, if you're watching TV and it's an American TV show. look for the language selection and change it to original language. Voila! English. I recommend to eat at Le Dupleix which is close by. Overall nice hotel, but the best thing about it was location.
This hotel is walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, about 15 minutes. Great restaurants also within walking distance. The only problem I had was the room size. I guess maybe it doesn't help that I'm 6'2" and 280 lbs, but I couldn't even fit into the shower that was in the already tiny bathroom. They were able to switch me to another room which had a bit more room, but I still found it to be a tight squeeze. On another good note, they have a pretty good free continental breakfast in the basemant. I will not be coming back to this one.
I don’t understand the negative reviews but noticed it was all in summer, we stayed on the 15 Sept. for few days so we didn’t need any AC or fan. It was my second in Paris and always stay in a budget hotel as we are out the whole day we only use the room for sleeping or getting some rest. I should say it is good enough for the price you get what you paid for. The room was not at all very small (or was my friend and I got lucky?) it is a good size for two people not to mention the extra space a small room which has a dresser, we used this as our dressing room to keep our bed tidy. The breakfast was good enough as well, it wasn’t an English breakfast like what everyone was complaining about, but enough to make you full till late lunch! The staff were kind and friendly l, I needed hot water for a night medication but since there is no kettle they allowed me to get my hot water from the basement late at night. The cleanliness? I didn’t stay there to check dirt in every corner, too busy and tired touring, our room was clean and towels were changed everyday. It was a safe area, near the eifel, near restaurants, near the metro. Enjoy Paris!!
Recently stayed here. Great location and great communication to enter the apartment from their it went downhill. Upon entering the apartment it was in quite an average state which included holes in the wall. Many of the lamps and some lights did not work due to faulty globes. No air conditioning only a couple fans which did not move side to side. Beds weren't made and you had to make your own beds. A little bit more effort with the presentation and facilities and the venue could be so much better.
I stayed in August 2018 and don't understand the negative reviews. The hotel was much better than I expected for the budget price. My room was small, but perfectly serviceable and clean and the staff were very helpful. It might have helped that I made an effort to speak French with them first. The airline lost my luggage so I was communicating daily with the reception folks to make sure it arrived, and the day clerk (sorry forgot his name) gave me a great referral to the local mall to buy some clothes and toiletries. The breakfast was good, just not hot, which they tell you on the website. Boiled eggs, croissants, baguettes, meat and cheese, coffee and tea, cereal, yogurt and fruit - everything you need. Excellent location 1 block from the metro. Perfect for the solo traveller. I felt very comfortable and safe.
