"On our first morning, there was a large cockroach beside the toilet. Tried to kill it (or corner it to take a picture) but it ran under the sink/cabinet and seemed to disappear. Told the front desk rep on our way to breakfast and asked to have the room treated for roaches. He didn't seem surprised, did not offer us a different room or any additional amenities, and said he'd take care of it. (Don't know what if anything was done but we did not see it again.) We had trouble with the toilet not flushing thoroughly, the tank was not filling properly. We requested delayed check-out on our last day to enjoy the pool before heading to the airport and were permitted an additional hour. However when we tried to enter our room to shower and pack, the key had already expired. We went down to the front desk to secure a working key. These concerns were disappointing because I travel to the area for business twice a year and think of this hotel as my 'home away from home'. Love the pool area, the cooked breakfasts, the food available on site in the evening if needed, the relaxing happy hour and veggies/dip. The staff is friendly and helpful. Will try again next fall and hope we don't ancounter problems with bugs, plumbing, or front desk communications."

"This property did not meet expectations and was not in the condition advertised upon arrival.We paid for early check-in, but the home was not guest-ready. It had not been cleaned, garbage was present, bathrooms were dirty, the pool table was not set up, and there was no electricity in the garage room. The home was not usable at that time, so the early check-in fee did not deliver what was promised.During our stay, we experienced ongoing issues with cleanliness, safety, missing essentials, and non-functioning amenities. There was broken glass that caused a cut foot, the pool was unclean and the pump not working, and basic items like beach towels (not stocked for the amount of renters) , kitchen towels, and trash bags were missing. There was also a leaking sink and a bathroom drain that would not clear.While the host eventually addressed many issues, it required multiple service visits (cleaners, electrician, pool tech, plumber), which disrupted our stay.The grounds are beautiful, but at a luxury price point, you expect the home to be fully ready. We only requested a refund of the early check-in and cleaning fees, which felt reasonable, but received nothing.Overall, the experience did not match the listing, and future guests should be aware."
