short business trip
Nice boutique hotel in center of Panama. Lots of bar's restaurants within walking distance. Nice pool area. Breakfast buffet was average, rest was good.
Nice rooms, only downside is that garden view rooms have no windows. This means no natural light in the room. Everything else was great. Top floor bar and pool has great city views. Close to a lot of bars and restaurants.
Good enough hotel for one night. We found the room not well maintained or cleaned. location is very good, near bars and restaurants. Good and friendly staff. would not go back though.
stylish luxury hotel on the cheap
The hotel had excellent style, which immediately drew us in, and had a fun location on Calle Uruguay--one of Panama City's hot districts for eating and drinking. What made the experience excellent though was the staff's generosity. I arrived in Panama City after spending a month studying in Costa Rica. As such, I had a very large backpacking backpack full of things I wouldn't need on this next part of the adventure. The Manrey staff let me store the backpack in their hotel for a week while I traveled to other parts of the country so that I wouldn't have to lug it around. This made my whole trip much easier, and I was very glad to see everything was exactly how I'd left it upon return. They are very professional, and that elevated my experience. Free breakfast buffet was also enjoyable in the beautiful, sprawling atrium. The pool was nice for relaxing though it's not a large pool. Room was very comfortable, though we didn't have a window which might have made it easier to wake up!
We really liked the location of the hotel. I disliked how the room smelled musty and moldy. Also, we had a room with a balcony and our door was very difficult to open and close as we had to call for help twice. Needless to say, we slept with our balcony door open so we could breathe fresh air at night,
good hotel, nice people, great location, great value
Perfect location. Nice hotel with a hip vibe. Close to restaurants and night life. Only odd thing is some rooms don't have windows, but not an issue. Highy recommend for the money. There is lounge music playing throught the hotel, but not an issue. I have stayed there 3 times and have barely seen other guests, pretty quiet. Only thing that made me mad was the reception did not make my wake up call at 5:20 to make my flight. It was a mistake but thankfully I was already awak.
