Almost everything about this stay was wonderful! We loved our room and it was awesome! The only complaint I have is that while the complex has a game room, it could use some TLC. This area needs some games like an arcade machine etc. this would give folks something to do in inclement weather situations like rain etc. My families favorite part was the folks down on the beach who did the chairs. I think the companies name was pcbeachrentals. One guy in particular named JJ did an outstanding job. This guy took the time to talk to people and check on us. We have not received that level of service anywhere else. He made the difference. Thank you JJ if you are reading this. We also found the 2 free chairs each day to be an outstanding added value. If that were to change that would substantially alter are perceived value. It's the little things like having the free chairs and JJs service that will have us coming back. Thanks!
We stayed in room 2304 and it was beautiful!! It is hands down the nicest condo we have stayed in ...ever. The only complaint is that the pool closes at 10pm and we wish it stayed open longer but I guess the perks of free movie rentals and a set of beach chairs you can reserve for free make up for the early pool hours. If you are looking for a family friendly place to stay that is also beautiful this is the place to stay!
My family and I had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated condo this past week. It was so charming, clean, and inviting. The views from the balcony were breathtaking. The water was crystal clear and so enjoyable to swim in. And the pools were great, too. If you are looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy the beach, this is definitely the place to go. It is also very convenient to shopping and dining locations as well.
This was my first time staying at the Sunrise Beach Resort and it was a very nice experience. The front desk clerks were very helpful nice and professional. The resort itself was beautiful. My family and I had a wonderful stay and will be returning in the future.
I love Sunrise and I have stayed here 3 years in a row. It is a beautiful resort and every room I've stayed in has been super clean and comfortable. However, the amount of tents that were placed in front of the rental chairs this year was unbelievable. I'm not sure whose problem this is: the resort, the chair rental company, beach patrol, etc., but it needs to be fixed. The tents need to be placed behind the rental chairs or to the side. We complained several times because we paid $40/night for a week and we couldn't see anything but a huge tent with 10 people stuffed under it in front of us. Two chairs down, a family decided to anchor their tent into one of the beach chairs that was occupied. They were asked to move it and refused. They complained to the chair rental person, just as we did, and he said that he didn't like controversy and wouldn't say anything to them. I thought it was a rule that the canopies have to be at least 30 feet back? People need to be more considerate. When you choose to bring something so big to set up at the beach, then you need to set it back where it belongs and not right in front of people who only brought themselves and their beach towel. The attendant at Emerald Beach right next door was taking care of this matter and tents were only set up behind the rental chairs. Even if this isn't technically Sunrise's issue, they need to look into it because it is seriously making me reconsider staying there again.
Great location, condo are very nice and clean. You can walk to the pier and all beach rentals are right here too. The layout of the parking garage and the pools is very convenient, we don't have to walk across the street for parking. We definitely will staying here again.
Booked a condo that is owned by an individual, not the resort, so this review will mostly focus on the resort, not the room. First the parking situation, it does suck for full size trucks and suv's. The first three levels of parking have a max height of 6ft 8in. The 4th level is 6ft 4in. I have a crew cab dodge with a 6ft bed, it was rough. The spots are narrow and there are a lot of concrete pillars. There is also only 1 way up and down each parking level. Next is the elevator situation. There are 4 and it wasn't bad at all. Sometimes during peak times we made it from the garage level to the 23rd floor with no stops. Never more than a minute or two wait the whole week. Beach access is on the first level of parking and is not accessible from the pools. I liked to park near the garage steps when I could and left my beach accessories in the truck bed, rather than put them in the elevator each trip to the beach. There are 2 gas grills on the path from the garage to the beach. Get your pop up canopy on the beach by 7am or your going to be walking further down the beach. It got busy, and crowded, and people have zero courtesy when it comes to your personal space. Finally, the front desk. They cannot and will not help you if you are renting from a private owner. They will however charge you $2 per person for a pool pass armband that is good for your entire stay. We got there after their hours, and our key card didn't work. I had to call the owner, who lived in another state, and he had the maid come let us in. She gave us her key card after that, but it was quite a scare thinking we might have to find another hotel after driving all day. This place seemed to be mostly families, not a party crowd. That was positive for sure. I would go here again, I don't think parking is good at any resort.
the Condos here are great we stayed at the 12 floor and it is a great view from the balcony, our room was spacious and clean, it had all and more needed in the kitchen and all the restrooms. It is the perfect place for my 16 year old twins and our 9 year old, hubby and I had lots of fun with them, everything is so close by, grocery store and many places to visit with the kids, the only bad thing is like other people said, no cop at night time when there are a lot of young adults out on the beach that were not even staying at the condo and the parking space is tight, but other than that it was the perfect place for us, we can't wait to go back!!
Pros: beach access, heated pool, quiet room, square footage of condo, ample televisions, large bathrooms, full kitchen, large balcony, access to beach chair and umbrella, free parking, closet full of toys for children Cons: office opens at 9am and checkout is at 10am, furniture was dirty, cigarette burnes, stained and outdated; bedding was severely delapatated and needed to be thrown out; decor is old and not at all like the pictures suggest; washer and dryer could be updated; elevators were dirty and defeated; this entire area is not pedestrian friendly (no sidewalks); cigarette butts littered in the sand; no lifeguards at all; lack of police presence. If I could have given this condo 2.5 stars, I feel that would have been more accurate.
The front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful. It's not a huge resort, it is a condo building. The condo we had was good. 22nd floor view makes up for any other negatives in the building. It was also memorial weekend so it was a bit busy. 4 elevators for 25 floors but it wasn't more than a five minute wait. Parking garage is extremely tight. Our condo was clean. All of necessities supplied. Would definitely make a trip back.
