We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo in the East Building(E25) facing right onto the Gulf. Reserved through Wyndham ResortQuest almost a year ago for a wedding that we were attending in Rosemary Beach and had a 4 night stay. The grounds are very well maintained; the pool is large and had depth up to 6 feet along with several small waterfalls. There is also a child's wading pool and a hot tub. We were there in mid-May so plenty of seats available any time we went down. The condo was well furnished; the King bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the bedroom had access to the balcony. My only complaint had to do with the master bathroom - the lighting and vent in the shower area was not very good. Overall, the unit was well stocked, furnishings were coastal and once we got the hang of all the door and gate codes (no keys or key cards), we did pretty well. I was disappointed with Wyndham's lack of communication with guests. I had to call twice to get details about gate codes, basic essentials provided in the unit (roll of paper towels, diswashing liquid and sponge, toilet paper, etc), and being sure that our adult son could do the check-in as he arrived earlier than us. If you were arriving after dark and having to use the outdoor lock box....it would be quite a hassle according to another guest who arrived late in the evening. And the buildings are not very well marked. But accommodations are very private, there is security at the front gate and we experienced no noise from other guests or units during our stay. Our son learned at check-in that we were entitled to two beach chairs and an umbrella each day and free use of bicycles and kayaks. That was not conveyed prior to our arrival - if we had been renting for a week, that would have helped us plan some activities. Since we were at various wedding functions, we were not able to take advantage of many of the extras. Access to the beach via a rather lengthy set of stairs, but the decking was all trex and very nice. We ate lunch at Crabby Steve's right there on the premises and had wonderful food and great service. Lots of folks come up to get drinks (alcoholic and other) and grab snacks. I would recommend this resort but really press Wyndham to give you more details than what is on their website or app.
This was our first vacation in Seacrest Beach; so happy with our choice! We rented a condo at High Pointe Resort for 1 week in March. We rented 13E (a two bedroom) with ocean view. The view was great! The condo was clean and modern, only negative-carpet in one of the bedrooms and attached bath. The resort consists of 5 buildings and is gated. This is the only resort along the beach that has a restaurant (Crabby Steve's); the food is good. The resort is also right across from shops and restaurants and live music in the evenings. The entire area of Searcrest and Rosemary Beach is great for families' very quaint and walkable. We will definitely be back!
We rented unit 45W over Thanksgiving week. This was a 3 bedroom 3 bath condo on the 4th floor corner overlooking the beach and Gulf. The views were excellent everyday and every night. Gorgeous sunsets! The Condo itself was remodeled and excellent and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. I believe we rented off VRBO and it was managed by Sunburst. You cant beat the location as it is right in Seacrest and .3 miles from Rosemary Beach and about .5 miles from Alys Beach. There are plenty of places to eat and shop within walking or biking distance. And in my opinion you cannot beat the beaches here even during Thanksgiving. The pool was huge but we didn't use since it wasn't heated. They have 2 clay tennis courts that were in decent shape and they had charcoal grills to use as well. The only downside is they were repairing the stairs to the beach so we had to use the stairs in the development next door. It made it a little extra work to get down to the beach especially carrying chairs and beach toys. During the high season they have chair service but did not during Thanksgiving although every other place around the resort was offering it. Luckily our unit provided 4 chairs for us to use. All in all it was a great trip and I wouldn't hesitate to rent the same unit again although if I did so it would be during "season" to take better advantage of the amenities at the resort.
I have been coming to High Point resort for 15 years. Each year I am surprised at how wonderful the area has progressed. There is more to do at High Point and the surrounding area than you could possibly do in a short vacation. There are too many stores shops and restaurants to name within walking distance of High Point. It has probably the largest most beautiful outdoor pool in the state of Florida. There is also an excellent bar/grill poolside and beach service at this oceanfront property. We stayed in a privately owned condominium unit 322. It was beautifully furnished and the owners were quite amenable. We will continue to come back to this lovely area for years to come
Stayed two different times! Great resort and location on 30a in Rosemary/Seacrest Beach. Rare ocean front condo units available in a Rosemary Beach. Large luxury pool and great beach front restaurants bar. Crabby Steve's offers great menu with delicious daily seafood specials and frozen tropical drinks. The complex is gated and directly across the street from Seacrest shops, restaurants and nightly entertainment. Easy walk or bike ride to Alys and Rosemary beach shops and restaurants. You can arrive for the week and never have to get back in your car. Beautiful beach and clear water. Only drawback are the number of steps to get down to the beach. Highly recommend !
The staff at High Pointe are wonderful. Our unit had a faulty air conditioner. The staff came very shortly after we called and fixed it to our satisfaction. The property is very well maintained and very secure. The unit where we stayed is privately owned and does need updating especially in the kitchen. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. We had a great lunch a Schooners in Panama City. Food was great as was the location. Also, highly recommend Goat Feathers for a good seafood meal.
The beach was beautiful, water lovely and a great area where you could walk so many places. The homes built in the area many of which are for rent seem really nice. Lots of good restaurants, although , I thought they were a bit pricey. Perhaps I could have researched a little more for less expensive places to eat.
I've been staying at high pointe since i was 11, and plan on doing a long-term stay in a ground level condo here next summer. Everywhere else is awful compared to high pointe. Going to florida isn't worth it if i have to stay somewhere else. High pointe is my favorite place in america. i've had so many wonderful times there, i feel safe there, it's quiet, always a good crowd of people, the tiki bar (crabby steve's) is so convenient, parking is easy, pool and hot tub are wonderful, the condos are spacious, almost like living in a house. the location is perfect, always something going on right across the road. i love that they're dog-friendly (some of the condos). if i had the chance to spend a summer in alys or in a high pointe condo, i'd most definitely choose high pointe any day, and i'll never stop staying here.
The condo complex is fairly nice and conveniently located, however, the unit itself was not the best rental experience. The unit is very clean, which is a plus, but it lacked any other amenities. No hangers provided in either bedroom (maybe we are expected to travel with hangers these days), no bathroom tissue provided, two rolls of toilet tissue for four people for the stay, not a single item for entertainment other than the TVs (no deck of cards, games, etc.). The carpeting needs replacing and the last item of annoyance was being asked to wash dishes and put them away before departing. I have rented many vacation condos and it is the norm to put the dishes in dishwasher and run the cycle prior to leaving but to feed the family, load the dishwasher and wait for the cycle to end before check out by 10:00 am is absurd. All of the above may be a reflection of the management company and not the owners but this was our experience.
We stayed here for a week in March. We had a second floor unit overlooking the pool. Everything was very well maintained. It was a bit cold for the pool, but we spent a lot of time at the beach. My only complaint was the noise level on Friday nights. A lot of people hang out by the jacuzzi and there were people who had too much to drink. But other than this, it was a marvelous place. Free music concerts in the park across the street. Great shops. The place was very well maintained. We had a marvelous stay.
