Good option close to town. Good room other than bathroom which badly needs update. Had one meal at restaurant which was understaffed-server had to take orders, cashier, AND deliver room service! We waited one hour for food despite empty tables. One minor annoyance was cleaning staff ignoring “do not disturb” sign left on door. They came in while we were out.

Hot pools very good and also excellent location meant our car was unsed during our stay. The menu choice was notvas good as previusly.Al so lack of bar snack menu. A negative was the fee for using a visa debt card!

I don’t know what was worse—the argument at check-in over the bed configuration (with no option to select it online at booking), being told there were no staff available to change it (until later, which would’ve been absolutely fine if they’d just said that upfront), OR the state of the room itself. It was dirty and tired—mismatched old fittings and tiles, hairs in the bathroom, grime and mould in the shower, broken and water-damaged kitchen cupboards that wouldn’t close, and floors and rugs that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed properly. The couch was broken (I can understand how this could be missed), and the icebox didn’t work. Then, at 6 AM, City Care woke everyone up leaf-blowing sand off the road—not the hotel’s fault, but the final straw. For what’s meant to be a top-quality hotel, this was really disappointing. I paid around $500 per night or just under (some rooms were listed at $800), and it wasn’t worth it. The next night, I stayed in a $240-per-night hotel that had two queen beds in a clean, modern room instead of two tiny singles. There’s also very limited parking, so lugging heavy bags was a hassle. The pool and outdoor area are stunning, and the views are beautiful, you can hear the waves crashing on the beach at night and I think the location is quite good but that’s about where the positives end. We skipped the restaurant after reading reviews, the menu is very limited for breakfast and dinner anyway. Wouldn’t stay again, especially for that price.
