Pro: When you can finally find someone to help you, they are friendly and helpful, but it is very tough to find anyone to help you (the lobby/desk is usually a ghost town). Speaking of the lobby, it is the nicest part of the hotel…and then it goes down hill from there. Once you start down the hallways it becomes quite clear that the hotel is under renovation. Cons: In the description of the lodge on Orbitz it says that the hotel has just been renovated….not true. Parts of it have been improved (I.e. new flooring, the lobby, and a couple touches here and there). Our “newly renovated room” featured a 10” hole in the ceiling of the shower, unfinished dry wall in various places throughout the room, doors were beat up and scarred and paint was new in some places and old in others. Moving on to the building, none of the lodge’s amenities are done or even started (i.e. pool/ spa, etc) and there is construction junk in various parts of the building. If you have any needs during the night, they gave us a number to text someone “off-campus” who could come and help if needed.

The Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. This is obviously6 a property that is undergoing some renovations. It was very nice and comfortable.

The Pagosa Lodge is in the process of converting in to part of the Best Western hotel, which is located next to it. The check in staff was very nice, the whole process was smooth. My room was actually located on the side of Best Western, it was nice and clean with great winter lake view. The only thing can be improved is the breakfast, the location was nice and pleasant, the option of hot food could be more. In general, it was a very pleasant stay, I'd definitely stay there again. Five starts!

It was newly redone, & clean. Amenities were slacking a little bit & they were still under construction, but the rate was fair for what was offered. Breakfast room had nice selection as well.

This hotel has a lot of potential for sure, but they are doing a complete renovation and do not have a lot of amenities. The rooms are really nice and love the relaxing lake view patio.

Spacious room was nice...with a great view. Didnt realize the lodge was in soft start due to renovations. No elevator or ice machine. Seemed overpriced.
