Winters in Packwood may get very snowy. We do our best to keep our cabins accessible, but winter traction tires and 4-wheel drive may still be required.

Overall, a good experience. It’s convenient to the east side of Mt. Rainer National Park. The management company tried to contact us regarding a door code change, but being in the Park all day without any signal, we did not receive it before we got there and upon arrival had to call them to get the right code. They were very responsive. The 1st-floor living area and bedrooms on the 2nd floor were excellent, with all the amenities we needed. The 3rd bedroom, which ostensibly sleeps 6, was in a room at the back of the garage with 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds, the latter lofted above the former. The bathroom for this bedroom was inside the house, requiring its occupants to cross through the garage and then the living room to reach the bathroom. This bathroom contained the laundry, making it quite busy. This 3rd bedroom also had cobwebs in it. A beautiful home, but a quirk or 2 for a VRBO.

A terrific stay for our family at Mt Rainier! The two King suites were awesome. Hot tub, large kitchen, great big table the fit us all as well as the large couch. I don't think we have ever stayed at a place that was so well furnished for your every need. The only negative, and it's small, we couldn't find the "loft room" and finally discovered it's in the back of the garage! I finally checked a door in the garage and there it was. It was comfortable and had no issues, just different. Otherwise, nearly perfect place!
