Take a short bus ride from Oxford city centre and save £££ by staying at this beautifully styled, immaculately clean guest house. The manager, Ashley, is more than helpful without being intrusive. The room was excellent - we had two rooms. The downstairs suite which opened onto the garden and had a lovely seating area both inside the suite and in the garden. Room included 2 x tvs, a fridge and nespresso machine. My sons room was an upstairs double. Very comfortable with a nice bathroom. He was very happy! We slept well with no noise disturbance. Breakfast is delicious with food cooked to order and a choice of fresh chopped fruit, yoghurts and cereals. Toast is cooked to order just the way you like it.

Stayed one night, service was very friendly and welcoming, room clean and smart, and breakfast perfect. Close enough to the centre for easy quick taxi drive . Perfect for when you need to stay overnight in Oxford. Will definitely stay again

This B & B is a little gem! We stayed there for 2 nights to allow us to explore Oxford. - Friendly and polite host (Ashley) - Clean room - Well stocked with tea, coffee and fresh milk. - Decent shower - Has a fridge - Decent cooked breakfast - Comfortable bed - Great price Its in a great location too with a bus stop right outside so you can easily travel into Oxford within about 20 minutes. Busses run literally every few minutes. Theres also a Sainsburies just down the road to stock up on beer / snacks and a Miller and Carter steakhouse for a decent dinner!

A quick over night stay with my daughter before an appointment at the university. Easy access to the city either by car or public transport. Property clean, with welcoming, polite and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. We stayed in a Deluxe twin room which was more than suitable for our overnight stay. Fabulous value for money, would strongly recommend. We would most definitely return. Cannot fault it. Thank you

I wrote a review last year when I stayed here. we went back again, for the same reason F1 Silverstone. I was pretty surprised at the changes that have been made, thankfully the host is still as nutty. We had a fantastic laugh during our stay. Improvments are: Fridge in the room, this is a big bonus. Fridge in hallway, locked unfortunately, with Wine, beer and soft drinks. so you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer on the terrasse in the sun. the 'Mind your Head' sign hasn't moved though. This place will be our regular each year for the F1 Weekend, wnd who knows for a different kind of visit. As an added note, the BnB next door is to be avoided at all costs.

We stayed at Five Mile View for two nights whilst celebrating my husband's birthday in Oxford. We could not have been made more welcome by Lorraine at the B&B. She really went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful weekend. The room was small but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fabuloud and freshly cooked to order. We would definitely stay at Five Mile View again.

Really impressed with this little guest house! The most comfortable beds (don’t forget to set an alarm so you don’t sleep the day away!) and superb showers. Breakfast was also great and really appreciate the local/organic efforts. Don’t have a single complaint, will be back as soon as we possibly can! Can not recommend highly enough!

My husband and I stayed for one night on our drive around England before a cruise. Five Mile was very nice and Lorraine was wonderful. While the room was very small, it provided all we needed for a good night's sleep. Lorraine recommended a nice place for dinner and we were able to walk there. We were very tired after flying overnight from the US, so we slept well. It was a little warm as there was no air conditioning, only a fan. We were on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was delicious and very filling and we were able to leave our car there after check out to take the bus into downtown Oxford which was great. Lorraine also let us know that J.R.R. Tolkien was buried in a cemetery across the street that we visited. Very nice and reasonable place for a short stay.

I stayed in this bed and breakfast for 2 nights and it was lovely. I pulled up from the outside and was a little worried but looks can be deceiving. Inside it was lovely. The room was spacious and had everything you need. The bathroom was small but had everything you needed. The hotel manager was lovely and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was included and was brilliant, with a lot of choice it set me up for a busy day in Oxford. Perfect for a mini break away and would highly recommend.

Would highly recommend Five Mile View if visiting Oxford and like us not wanting to pay the extortionate prices to stay in central Oxford. We were a family of 4 staying in 2 rooms. While the rooms were small (to be expected for a B&B) there were lots of lovely touches. We had a fridge in both of our rooms as well as a good selection of tea and coffee and biscuits. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. There is a bus stop less than 200m away from the B&B that takes you straight into the City centre. We enjoyed the breakfast at Five Mile View with good selection of continental and full english options. I must say Lorraine, who is the manager at B&B could not have done more to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Overall would definitely stay here again.
